I wouldn't say I get rose milk teas a lot, but I'd say this was one of the better ones I've had because both the rose and the tea parts of the drink stood out on their own! Some years ago I compared components of boba drinks to main and side characters, so I am thrilled that we have two main characters here. On the other end, though, this tea did lean more watery rather than creamy. What did stay consistent across the two stores was the boba, which comes a bit softer than our ideal texture, but the sweetness of the sugar that they must have steeped these boba in definitely shined through. I wouldn't say they tasted like brown sugar boba, but my sister says that they did; point being that you'll get some kind of sugary taste and isn't that all you really need to know?

After trying a few of their drinks, I would rank Gong Cha as being around the same level as Kung Fu Tea. I like that this location normally makes their drinks starting at the 70% sugar level, which is a plus in my book. Overall, out of the drinks I've tried, there haven't been any standouts that result in me craving Gong Cha when that bubble tea craving hits. But, the drinks I have liked have been pleasant. Drink Ordered: * worth trying - [Lemon Ai-Yu White Pearl]: I think the lemon tastes too artificial but it's less noticeable at the 70% sugar level. What stood out the most was the manager, who I believe is from Thailand. She was incredibly kind, patient, and determined to help. I found a gray coffee mug with black print that I absolutely loved. It was unique, practical, and exactly what I was looking for. When I asked if there was a new one available, she went above and beyond trying to find one. She searched drawers, checked upstairs, and looked all over the store. While she was doing all of this, I noticed there were three identical mugs displayed on other shelves. When I pointed this out, instead of helping the manager find a solution or checking whether one of those display mugs could be sold, some staff members simply kept saying, "It's a display." I understand that stores may have policies regarding display items, but customer service is about trying to help rather than immediately shutting down the conversation. A little effort, teamwork, or even offering to check with the manager would have gone a long way. What impressed me was that the manager never gave up. She continued searching and trying to help me. In the end, she decided to sell me the display mug, and I truly appreciated that. Her dedication and willingness to help turned what could have been a disappointing experience into a positive one. I do have one suggestion regarding packaging and customer service. I purchased drinks, flan cakes, and two boxes of coffee. The flans were placed in a bag together with the coffee boxes, while the drinks were carried separately. Honestly, that didn't make much sense to me. The flans could have easily been placed on the tray with the drinks, making everything easier to carry and reducing the risk of damaging the desserts. Small details matter, especially when customers are purchasing multiple items. The drinks deserve 5 stars. The store deserves 5 stars. The manager deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, the level of service from the rest of the staff did not reflect the same standard. Customer service is more than simply being present, it is about being attentive, helpful, and supporting both customers and your teammates. Those small actions leave lasting impressions. That said, I don't think it would be fair to rate this location lower because the quality of the products and the manager's exceptional service outweighed my frustrations.
