Stopped by Kung Fu Tea in Palmdale and honestly thought it was a pretty cool spot to hang out. It's located inside a plaza with a bunch of other businesses nearby, so even though they don't really have an actual food menu (besides spicy ramen to-go cups), there are plenty of places around the area to grab something to eat before or after. They have a huge variety of drinks like milk teas, slushies, hot drinks, coffee, different flavor combinations, etc. I ordered my favorite jasmine milk tea and it was really good. I accidentally forgot to add boba when ordering, but the staff was kind enough to give me some on the side at no extra charge, which I appreciated. The shop itself has a fun atmosphere with plenty of seating and board games available if you're hanging out with friends. The vibe is relaxed and entertaining. Also, their music genuinely sounded like a Dance Dance Revolution playlist, which honestly made me laugh and added to the experience in a weirdly nostalgic way. Staff was polite, efficient, and overall provided great customer service. Probably the best boba you can find in Palmdale besides Gong Cha. I'm always excited to see what new seasonal and/or collab flavors they have on their menu. I get boba from here all the time and it's nice that they close up a little later in the night. The menu has insane variety and some dairy-free options for those lactose intolerant, but I prefer the taste & creativity of PARTEA NYC's lactose-free menu a lot more. Only thing is, I do find there can occasionally be a lack of consistency with flavor. Maybe it has to do with ratios for a regular vs a large, and whether they have certain things in stock, but if I get a specific drink a second time, I'd expect it to taste 100% like it did the first time I had it. The couple times I had the Pokémon collab Prism Tower flavor, sometimes it was too sweet or didn't have enough aloe jelly. The joint is cute, with a few board games and small arcade machines. Def a good place to kick back with friends. Some of the table top games can do with being replaced though because they're so worn and/or necessary game pieces seem to perhaps be missing? Service is fine, there's always a decent wait time--sometimes a bit longer depending on the queue ahead. read more

Such a cute little place out here in Palmdale. We live in the San Fernando Valley, and when we heard that Kung Fu Tea was doing a Collab with Pokémon Legends ZA, we had to take the drive out there and find out what it was all about! Came here after they opened at 12PM. Sat inside and enjoyed watching the movie they had playing while we waited. One guy was working, so we were patient. It was about a 20-30 minute wait for our drinks. & Then for drinks we all got.. we were all super dissatisfied from drinking it. Our orders were: Thai Tea with boba Smores Slush Mango Slush (Forgot the other one) My dad kept on saying how it tasted nothing like thai tea and couldn't even finish it. He said it tasted so bitter and was the worst thai tea he ever had. My smores coffee slush tasted smooth with a frappuccino feel (good blender mix) but the taste did not feel like authentic coffee and left weird aftertastes in my mouth. My mom couldn't taste real mango in the drink and felt like it was some weird mango puree thrown into her drink. All in all, our drinks costed $25 and we felt like it wasn't worth it. We expected more due to the branch name and other branches in Northridge, etc. Maybe it was all bad rushed attempts at the drinks due to one person working? Our group arrived a little after 8:30 last night to get boba, prior to even ordering the gentleman that was working stated "we're out of boba," when I asked how they were out of boba at a boba shop his response was "we close at 9:15, and it takes over 30min to make the boba." Being experienced in the food and beverage workforce I understand not wanting to make a new batch before closing. However, not having boba that long before closing, not being better prepared with enough product to last the entire night and then stating you close earlier than the posted signs is unacceptable.
