First off, I'm immediately turned away by places that use milk powder in their bubble tea, but I wanted to give this a try, hoping that it'll be one of my closest favorite bubble tea places. I ordered the Kung Fu Milk Tea with bubbles (which I couldn't believe you had to pay .5 extra for), and the only pleasant taste in the bubble tea was the bubbles. As I ordered, I watched someone ask the owner how to make the drink, which I assume is why my drink simply tasted like milk powder. The bubbles were nice and sweet, and if I ever went back here, I'd only order bubbles. Perhaps this was a bad first impression, but won't be having bubble tea here anytime soon. Tasty but very sweet drinks. I always get the classic Kung fu milk tea and it's always very good. Today we ordered that and an almond tea. The labels on our cups were mixed up and we only realized that after taking a few sips of the wrong drinks. To be fair, they are very similar in color and could be easily mixed up. read more

Great ambiance and selection of teas! The staff is super friendly and the service is always great, even when the place is crowded. I ordered the iced Thai bubble tea, and I really like the fact that you can customize the ice and sugar levels within the tea. Drove by and decided to grab a bubble tea from this location. Street parking was easy to find in the afternoon. The store was filled by school kids but they were fairly fast with preparing the orders, just not the cleanest. However my oolong milk tea tastes very watery and bland..bubbles were well cooked though. read more

Great drinks here. My favorite is the winter melon tea with less sugar. My kid's favorite is the white grape slush and my husband likes the mango creamsicle. All are delicious. And we always order pick up through the app so we don't have to wait too long for our drinks. read more

I just went there, and had a great time! First off (this doesn't have a great deal to do with the actual place), the drive there was very pleasant. When we actually got there, we picked up our drinks we had ordered online. When I got back home, I tasted my strawberry lemon green tea. I like this place. It's not my favorite, but you can't be too picky with bubble tea in Essex county, and I don't want to schlep all the way to Edison or Chinatown. I've been here many times before and no complaints. However, today I ordered 2 mango green teas and an almond milk tea, all of them were bitter. The guy working there was nice enough to try to fix one of the mango green teas, saying he probably didn't add enough syrup, but it wasn't any better. I waited to get my almond milk tea fixed but with only one person working there, I waited 20 minutes before leaving two full drinks on the bar, letting him know the problem again before heading out. I think it was the tea, not lack of syrup. My daughter drank the other mango green tea or rather, ate the bubbles, and threw hers out. What a waste of money! read more

I was having a great day and wanted a good drink. Although my go to Bubble Tea is REAL FRUIT Bubble Tea in Bridgewater NJ I was in the Millburn area after leaving Benihana for lunch and went to Kung Fu Tea wow where do I start. First the young lady at the register was nice I placed my order and ask for less sugar and no ice she said no problem. Since I had a knee braces I ask if my boyfriend could come get it once it's was done. 10 mins later no drink when he went in. So I'm like wait I was the second one to order. So I had to come back in and asks what happen. The disrespect was something I've ever experienced. The dink was wrong so I asked for a refund I was told no the gentleman said he made it right. Mind you I said less sugar and no ice I was told it come like that. Long story short the gentleman was rude and very nasty to the point I had to call my boyfriend to come in cause I wasn't gonna agree with a man. He then starts be very aggressive so now I'm like what's the problem why are you acting like this cause I didn't want Ice. I will never come here again. I know they can care less but customer service is everything to a business and he didn't care about that at all. If you're ever in the Bridgewater area please try Real Fruit Bubble Tea it's a game changer with A-1 customer service. My wife and I were very excited to see that a Kung Fu Tea opened up relatively close by. We have gone 3 times within the last month and have loved each time we've gone. We were helped and greeted by Jenny and had nothing but great things to say every time she helped us. This would be a 5 star review had it not been for the terrible experience we had today. My wife invited some friends to come check out Kung Fu Tea today 11/19 @ 3:30. Our friends changed their order before the girl behind the counter started to make their drink and at first she said she did not know how to change the order but after we insisted, she managed to get it done and charge us the difference. 1 drink our friends ordered came out without bubbles when they had ordered it with bubbles as it was even stated on the cup! My friend politely waited until she finished taking to another patron to point out that he was missing bubbles and the girl rudely yelled back "YOU SAID YOU DIDN'T WANT TOPPINGS, NO BUBBLES". After my friend pointed out otherwise from looking at the cup, she snatched the cup, preceded to fix the order with a rude demeanor.. my wife ordered with me but receieved her drink after 3 other couples... there was no organization...shortly after we were finally served, a similar scenario took place with someone else. People should not feel like a bother for expecting quality service, or even an apology when something like this happens... unfortunately we will now think twice before going to Kung Fu Tea.. read more

The OWNER is extremely rude and nasty. NEVER going back again, it was my first time ever trying tea from this establishment. I had never been to a tea place before, my boyfriend ordered the orange tea and a mango tea for us to share. The Orange tea tasted like plain Florida orange juice, I told the owner that I was displeased with the taste, and her response, in an extremely condescending manner was "What did you think it was going to taste like?" I said not orange juice. She says well what would you like I said another tea that taste good, I asked her for the winter melon and she responded very nastily with I will make you a small one, after my original tea was a large. I found the owner to be very unprofessional and having little to no social skills when interacting with customers. She can't even say she was overwhelmed with business as the establishment was dead. When I heard that a Kung Fu Tea was opening up in my neck of the woods, I went ballistic. Before I used to always go to the one in Flushing on weekends occasionally. Now that I see they're expanding into Jersey, I couldn't be happier. Their drinks are so damn good, I'm glad that they opened up here in Millburn (one can only take so much of that Starbucks). So far the store is in a "soft opening", meaning you can't use a credit card yet, but the owner says that will be changing soon. Me and a friend (who had her first experience with KFT) went, and I ordered one of my fave milk teas....ah, so smooth and refreshing...impeccable! My friend also was loving her drink as well.
