I love bubble tea and this place is always good. Pretty quick with a big menu of flavors to try.
I tried this spot with $2 off from t mobile tuesdays. It was great to get the discount! This location is also conveniently right by the Forest Hills Target. I ordered to go and appreciated how they put a cover on the tea that can't spill which is great and they put it in a convenient to go bag. The pumpkin tea was good quality and I appreciated being able to pick how much ice and sugar I wanted. I hated the bubbles though. They are supposed to be tapioca but tasted flavorless to me and I ended up throwing them out. Definitely not worth the upcharge for them IMHO. The service was quick, maybe because I went right at 12:45pm. The spot is small. I recommend it only for take out.
This location is always busy. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. The employee taking the order is efficient though not friendly since it's non-stop ordering and calling drink orders. It also helps when your party knows what they want and speaks up which 1 person didn't though that comes with learning to order and takes practice. The cashier asked about sweetness and ice levels and we are all set. Ordered: 2 jasmine milk tea with boba and a minion (passionfruit slushie and something which I couldn't hear). Not a bad place if you want a drink though prepared to wait a little while.
I'm on a hunt , for the best TEA. Unfortunately this location fell very short . I visited today around 1pm, for my pickup order . It was slow , I was the only person there and received my pick up order right away . The location is small with a few seats indoors if you want to have your tea inside. The location is GREAT next to Martha's Bakery, target , chipotle and a lot of other businesses. The customer service was also very good, and I appreciated the amount of tapioca, and red beans they gave me in my drink (reason for 3 instead of 2 stars). However the tea lacked flavor and quality. It seemed way to sweet which overpowered whatever the tea was supposed to taste like . It was also very watery to me as well. They also gave me a 75 cents discount on a topping being it was my very first order in app. Saying that to say I will not try out this establishment again , nor any of their other locations. SOMEONE PLEASE INBOX ME A GREAT TEA SPOT TO TRY, so I have somewhere I can consistently go to lol.
Great Kung Fu Tea spot here in Forest Hills. Kung Fu Tea is a popular chain here in NYC, with a wide variety of drinks, including a Wow milk line which is made with Lactaid. This location is pretty fast and COVID compliant. Only 3 customers are allowed in the store at a time and there's a huge plastic barrier between you and the workers. There's also tons of hand sanitizer available. Today, I got the classic KF milk tea with pearls. The pearls were a bit hard but the drink itself was very refreshing. The drink has a light tea flavor and is definitely more milky than some of the other milk teas that I've tried. I also tried some of the oolong milk tea. There was a strong taste that didn't taste like oolong. I'm not sure how to describe it, but I personally wasn't a huge fan. Finally, I tried the strawberry milk slush. This is amazing and a great summer drink in my opinion. It does have a strong artificial strawberry flavor though. It's very sweet and just an overall great energizing pick me up.
We visited Kung Fu Tea location on Austin street at least once a week since it's the closest bubble tea in my neighborhood. The space is narrow with only 10-12 seats but there is a gender neutral restroom, which is great. The staff is cool, reluctant and rude sometimes. Our favorite is their Kung Fu Milk Tea with bubble, half sugar and less ice. Their bubble is braised with honey, chewy and sweet. The milk tea is not cooked from great tea leaves so the caffeine isn't strong.
We can start with a rap. Lemon Black Tea's what I'll give to YOU It has a lot to LIVE UP TO But I know you'll share my POINT OF VIEW Like the 90's web you'll scream YAHOO Palestine will hear you louder then NETENYAHU Who's big on Google but not on YAHOO Crap I just double-used YAHOO Oh well, Altavista's dead, Excite TOO And no, my income tax returns aren't TRUE But like Joey said, that point is MOO So before we get audited by internal REVENUE Let's go and get Boba from KUNG FU! (And let me know please when you're period's DUE) WHAT This Kung Fu tea had quite a bit of a wait time but what I did appreciate was that they had a bathroom and I really needed one and you can probably see how much I needed one (spshhhhhhhh). It was a bit of a hike from where I parked but it was worth it, and the tea tasted good, if a little bit on the sour lemon side, which is the case in a lot of Queens locations it seems. The boba is good and I appreciated the drink. Good job. What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! If you like lemon, anyway. Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! I also love the regular milk tea with Oreo! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! This is a cute little boba train station, in that it feels like you're packed on a platform waiting for a subway when it gets busy in here - an extraordinarily cramped Kung Fu Tea which is located in the heart Forest Hills (Queens) and it's a great place to stop and grab some bobes McGobes. I thought you might have to wait awhile, but the drink came out relatively fast after I waited in line for the (ew) bathroom (but at least they have one) (but ew). So if you have nothing to do And your partner won't give you a screw I know something better And very much wetter Get Lemon Black Tea from Kung Fu! Service is usually pretty friendly and there's a nasty little bathroom in the back if you can squeeze through and get in there (that's what she said). A really small space and very busy and good boba. So basically exactly what you would expect from a KFT in New York City. Just about 5 stars because I was surprised how good the drink was considering the crazy cramped conditions and the volume of stuff they're putting out. So advice for the CEO Your methods aren't secret, you know Stop screwing your stores Let them up off all fours And your profits and rep will soon grow
Definitely not that best bubble tea I've had. I got the mango green tea with mango jelly and I thought it was just meh. Even at regular sweetness it still tasted very bitter from the green tea, which I did not like at all. Order: - Mango green tea with mango jelly, regular sweetness, no ice (3/5) Pros: - One of the few bubble tea places in the Forest Hills area - A lot of drinks to choose from - You can control the sweetness and ice level Cons: - Even though I asked for 100% sweetness, it tasted like it was less sweet - It took a while to get my drink even though there was 4 workers and a machine that mixed the drink for them Overall: - If you're in a pinch and just need your bubble tea fix then this place is fine. But if you're looking for really good bubble tea, do yourself a favor and make a trip to Elmhurst or Flushing and get your drink from there.
Went back to try the 'Cocoa cream wow original,' this was much better. The drink reminded me of the tiger sugar bubble tea. It was sweet but not overly sweet, and am glad that they have a lactose free option. The bubbles were cooked nicely where it was soft and chewy. Overall the drink was tasty.
Skip this location. I'm normally a fan of all Kung Fu tea shops but here, together line was long and service was way slow. The person taking our order didn't even ask how we wanted our drinks. Sugar, no sugar, less sweet, etc. Then upon execution of the classic Passion Fruit Green Tea, which as you'll see, is my go to favorite at any location, this one underwhelmed. It was not sweet and too much ice. There was plenty of passion fruit flavor but the green tea was too mild and not fragrant enough. I was disappointed, especially knowing what a popular chain this place is. There are standards that were not met here. Too bad... It's location is ideal, on Austin Street. Convenient to shopping and the LIRR.
Yummy tea that my daughter loves. Very good options and fast service. Decent location metered parking only but usually there's no parking
It's been a while since I last had bubble tea as well as Kung Fu tea. I got the almond bubble tea while hubby got a regular boba tea instead of his taro. So good! We both don't drink sugared drinks due to health and doctors orders. Even though I ordered from too good to go (never got a chance yet) and so close to home it was freshly made and he allowed us to pick our drinks. Don't know if that's usually the case. Very nice guy who did our drinks. Very cute cafe. read more

One of the best Kung Fu Tea Spots! Trust me, just because they are a chain, doesn't mean they are all the same! As a matter of fact, bubble tea in itself is never made equal! That's a whole other thing on its own but back to Kung Fu Tea...... So good! This is definitely one of their best locations!! Please give it a try! I've been to other locations that just don't compare. Trust me! I also like it better than coco's! Let me say less, and keep it at give it a try!! read more

Taiwanese Bubble Tea with or without Tapioca pearls or jelly finally arrives in Forest Hills, Queens. With fifteen minutes to segue from my Forest Hills arrival to my next destination, I opt for one medium cold Mango Green Tea $3.50. Staff is efficient, friendly, able, ready and willing to serve. Fresh ingredients and freshly prepared. This tea business is modern, bright, clean and specifically designed as a small takeout. It was newly opened in April 2013. Absolutely no seating is available and neither is a restroom facility. Next to the cashier there is a fish bowl full of Hershey Kisses candy that is free and available for grabs. read more
Grand Opening this weekend at the new Kung Fu Tea on Austin St. Forest Hills! The place small but nicely renovated with quality wall tiles and counter. The walls are very plain. I am sure they'll add more decoration. Their work space is tight so the workers were just getting into each others way as I waited for my order. It took a while before got my order. They are running a Grand Open Special; buy one get one free. I got the Passion fruit Green Tea for $4.50 + 0.50 extra for the boba. Good drink. ( $5 is on the pricey side of bubble tea.) Tip: Parking is always a problem on Austin St. read more

This is your standard Kung-Fu tea, which is a good thing. Consistent quality. I always go with my usual: Medium Lychee Punch with Nata Jelly, Light Ice. This would have gotten a 5-star rating but they did not have aloe jelly. Whomp. But, that's okay. It's kind of a small space. I can imagine it gets really crowded when all the kids in the area get out of school. There are four small tables near the back for seating. There's also a bathroom that was relatively clean. read more

I came back here today since it is the only bubble tea place within a reasonable walking distance from my home, and was sad to hear there weren't any more bubbles for the red bean wow milk... but I ended up trying the honey milk green tea with bubbles and 50% sugar. They might have finally changed the weird tasting bubbles, or maybe it's just the honey, but it tastes better now than several months ago. The honey milk green tea was just right, not too sweet or too bitter at 50%. I didn't change the ice level today and it ended up being just the right amount of ice (within 1/2 inch from the bottom by the time it was finished). It was better than the last time when I asked for less ice and got half a cup of ice in the end. read more

Kung Fu Tea is a chain of tea cafes with bubble teas and other teas. Interior is small but modern-looking. Touch screen ordering systems, menus displayed on large overhead TVs. They have an app for ordering. The app could be improved--you can upgrade a medium tea to either large OR hot, but not both. I got my tea 7 minutes after ordering. The tea was standard but nice. read more

Their store needs AC! but this is not what the 3 stars is for. This is the only bubble tea store on Austin st! This place accepts cc. Their teas have room for improvement. Ordered their taro milktea (it's powered) and you don't really taste the taro... just the powder, like not even powder-taro taste, just regular powder.... I have tried their other drinks in the past, think everything here is powder-based. Nothing is whole fruit. I ordered 50% sugar because their drinks tend to be overly sweet. Maybe once in a blue moon I'll come back to this place. read more

I love bubbles! Bubbles in my milk tea make me very very happy! I was so excited when I saw the grand opening sign for Kung Fu tea on Austin street. I love that more and more bubble tea locations are popping up in queens, no longer is flushing the only place to get these sweet treats. As for this locations, it's small it's not such seating but that's fine by me! The guys working here are friendly and as for any new location, it's super clean. The speed of the workers can't be compared to coco fresh in flushing which is lighting fast but I'm sure that with more practice the service will be just as speedy. I usually love the bubbles at Kung fu tea and this place is no exception, they're fresh and soft but I like them a bit on the chewier side, that's just me though. I ordered the passionfruit green tea with bubbles the last time I was here and the bubbles were a bit too soft for me but I still enjoyed it. Like any other bubble tea place, I recommend the taro milk tea. Always a win! P.S. try to come on a weekday, parking is pure madness on saturday or sunday! read more
The service was really nice. On top of it, they spoke English, what a miracle! And they had Lactaid milk! Miracle of all miracles! They knew what Lactaid milk is. Wow! I've been to other Kung Fu teas and most of the time when I ask if they have Lactaid milk, the imbecile bubble tea baristas look at me like I'm speaking alien. Meanwhile the bubble baristas at Forest Hills were proactive in letting me know they have Lactaid milk when they figured out I cannot have dairy. Wow that was really nice of them. Super cool. I just find them a little steep in price. (-1 star) I really liked the the red wow drink which had red beans and the Lactaid milk. Awesome. I just wished they had the skim Lactaid milk too. It was very heavy drink with whole milk. Skim milk wouldn't feel so heavy. Cool that they serve Lactaid milk! Awesome! But is Forest Hills ready to embrace Bubble Tea? That is to be seen. It's not that trendy elsewhere outside of Asian communities. If it was cheaper, I would be in trouble. I don't buy it often because it's a price of a meal just for a drink. Too overpriced. read more
