We were all excited to try this place out finally and BOOM the wait was 45 minutes with no customers but us, we asked service what they recommended and BOOM it was horrible but the most expensive item on the menu and didn't look nothing like what we ordered. Never again. Had i went straight to the restroom I would of told everyone let's go, they place was beyond nasty. Restrooms cleanliness determines how the service will be. In my opinion a huge waste of almost $30.00 on 3 dessert items

Minus 2 stars because they were out of most items . Really wanted to try the brown sugar wow bubbles . Space is very clean, music is a little loud so I had a hard time hearing the cashier. Overall great milk tea spot. Almond milk tea is my favorite .Glad they finally opened up but they could use some help, service was really slow for 2 drinks waited about 15 min. Update: boba was extremely hard and overcooked.

West Dearborn is really picking up in the boba scene! KFT is the 3rd shop opening in the last year or two in this area. It's always nice to have more choices for drinks. I went two weeks after they first opened and picked up one drink: Oolong Milk Tea, Large, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($7) - Oomph this was like drinking pure creamer. They put way too much in it, so much that I couldn't taste the tea at all. Even the sugar level was super muted against the creamer. I actually diluted this drink down by half with more tea I brewed at home and it still tasted like 100% creamer. At least the boba here is above average - they definitely soak in a honey solution that leaves the outside with a slight sticky texture and a decent chew. The boba, as always with KFT, is a bit on the firmer side, but this is softer than most other KFT locations. It also has a nice somewhat fruity flavor coating each pearl. I wasn't very impressed with the drink, but I figured that perhaps there were some quality issues due to the staff still learning how to make everything. I went back a couple of weeks later for a BOGO promo on the Toffee Thai Milk Tea. Toffee Thai Milk Tea, Large, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.80) - This was super sweet at 50% sugar, although I think they might have mixed up the sweetness of the drinks. I ordered the 2nd drink at 70% sweet and it was less sweet than the 50%. They added a ton of artificial toffee flavor, making this drink have a very deep burnt toffee taste. It was all a bit too much for me. I couldn't really taste any thai tea given how much flavoring they added, but I certainly felt a strong caffeine rush after drinking about half of one drink. The boba this time was a bit softer than last time and only a small amount firmer than what I usually prefer. I personally wouldn't get this drink again, but I can see people who basically want drinkable toffee candy liking it. I have to say, this KFT impressed me given my experiences at other locations in the past couple of years (which were basically all 1 and 2 star experiences). My review may not reflect it very well, but this is probably the best KFT I've been to since 2020. The drinks at this particular location aren't great due to the over addition of additives, but the boba topping here is above average. Given that they routinely run deals and have coupons, they are among the cheapest boba shops. I can see myself coming back to try some of their other offerings in the future given the price difference vs. other places.

They were supposed to a Honey Dew Milk Tea and a Mango milk tea.

I just left. We came on a Saturday at 6pm. There was only one guy working. The cashier was very nice and promptly took our order. There were 3 people ahead of me. It took him about 20 minutes to get our two drinks together. He seemed to be reading instructions to make each order. Needless to say our drinks did not taste good. One was overly sweet and the other was watery. Neither tasted like the flavors we ordered. Employees should be properly trained before being allowed to work alone. Please do better. I've been to several other Kung Fu Tea's and I've never had this issue. This will be my first and last visit at this location.

Cute and cozy spot. Clean place, nice service and drinks are good. I wish they had nondairy options tho, but that's fine.

Didn't get a chance to try this place because there is no parking. Drove around for 20 minutes and not one spot.

I only know how to find it because I used to live around there, but I wouldn't have known about it if I didn't search Yelp. The food really was amazing. There has been a huge influx of Yemeni coffee houses in the area, but the first that also serves a full menu of brunch food that includes traditional options and your more American options - omelets, pancakes, etc. I was in the mood to try something traditional. I went with the Lahm Sighar. It's a minced meat dishes with onions and peppers, with Yemeni flavors. It comes with a giant piece of khubz (think naan). Obviously you don't have to, but you're supposed to pick the food up with pieces of khubuz if you want the authentic experience. I would compare Lahm Sighar to Corned Beef Hash if you're at an American diner if you're tying to picture it. It was really crowded, so that's a good sign, but the service was still great. They made sure I understood what I was getting into when I asked for Medium Spicy. Since I only go back to the Dearborn area every few months now, I anticipate this is now my newest go-to brunch spot. So glad I found this place. :-)
