I went for the Shinji caffeinated hot tea (yes, addict here) and an order of the Gyoza to start. The Gyoza was actually very crispy with a delightful sauce, so both very fresh. Margaret, our server, was extremely helpful when I ordered the Chicken Garlic ramen for my main dish, and she suggested to add the spicy oil with this, which was wonderful! I have a knack for spice... The ramen was extremely flavorful and not heavy. I'm no ramen expert, but the broth carried the dish, with the mushrooms and egg adding some nice complementary flavor. It was about $34 out the door, but including tea, appetizer, main course, and tip. Shinji had a great atmosphere that was calm and cozy. It helped, that my server was always prompt at refilling my tea and water. Very clean also, and not overcrowded. This place is lodged next to a Lowe's Foods, so it was easy to find and get to, but the parking lot was a bit busy. Excellent overall experience that will bring myself and friends back for more.

I started with the miso soup, which was pretty standard, followed by the pan-fried pork dumplings that were also just okay. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken pad Thai. It wasn't anything particularly authentic, but it still hit the spot and satisfied my hunger after a long day of traveling. Overall, this isn't a restaurant I'd go to expecting authentic Asian cuisine, but that wasn't my expectation going in. The service was quick and efficient, the food came out fast, and it was a solid, convenient meal when I needed one.
