With an emphasis on breathing (with frequent reminders), as well as safe alignment, Corey provides options for extra challenges for seasoned yogis, while at the same time offering modifications for injuries or newcomers to the practice. There is something for everyone. Each class is different, with some underlying consistent themes. I am never bored with the class flow, since it changes from session to session. Corey's choice of vocabulary and analogies makes it enjoyable to listen while at the same time learning. He explains things concisely and clearly. What stands out most is Corey's kindness. He is thoughtful, caring, warm and welcoming to each and every student.

He always provides options and demos for all different levels, so I am comfortable pushing myself on one day and taking it easy on another. Beyond that, he is hilarious! I can't recommend him more--take his classes!

After 6 years away from regular yoga practice, I'm so glad that I found this studio, which is very…read moreconvenient to my East Oakland/San Leandro neighborhood. Pink Salt Wellness has been a welcoming, inclusive, and empowering studio for me as a newcomer. The "wellness" component is not in name only, but has been a part of every class/practice I have completed so far there. I appreciate the emphasis on breath and intention in addition to poses. Teachers have been good at offering modifications in a way that doesn't single out individual students, and they emphasize that each individual's yoga practice is personal to their body. As a plus sized woman who is using yoga as a part of my journey to better health, I have felt included and encouraged to push myself in a safe and joyful manner. I feel very grounded and encouraged to improve my practice each day that I show up to the mat. I am still in my first month here, but I highly recommend Carmela's classes. She immediately learned my name and checked in with me about my skill and confidence level, and I feel like I come away a little stronger each class period. I also have enjoyed Femme Flow, which has helped a lot with my tight hip flexors and weak core. I haven't tried all of the classes/worked with all of the teachers yet, but am looking forward to deepening my practice in other modalities such as Yin yoga. So excited to be a part of this studio!

Yay! A new yoga studio in Castro Valley!! The classes offered are really catered to different…read morelevels which I appreciate! I am always seeking challenges in my practice and the Power Flow and Nidra class that I took recently was perfect for me. In this class, we played with arm balances and inversions, and then after the fun power flow, a yummy yoga nidra was offered. It really set the tone to my day!! I've taken the slow flow and energy medicine yoga livestream, and loved the energy medicine yoga class with Christine. I bet this class is even more amazing in person and hope to attend in person one day. This class absorbs energy with movement and meditation and I really felt so good and positive after. I love Isabella's classes and used to take her classes at Hot Box. Her energy is so inviting and her flows are thoughtful and sequenced perfectly! The owner of the studio, Casey, is caring, knowledgeable and breaks down poses clearly in her classes. She really believes that yoga should be offered to everyone and the prices for classes are the most affordable that I have ever seen. I scored an extremely affordable founding member monthly membership. She's adding more and more classes as well. I love to see others really relishing in what they love to do and you can see that this yoga studio is Casey's dream. It's so great she's built this community of yogi's! The studio is situated downstairs right in what seems to be a wellness building complex right on Castro Valley Boulevard so it's very convenient and easy to find. Although the ventilation and natural lighting doesn't seem as good as other studios because it's downstairs, the studio is meticulously clean, sweetly decorated, and the best part is the wall to wall mirrors. I haven't practiced in a studio with mirrors in a long time so this was a treat to get to see my form. I have never had a problem with parking as well and there is a dedicated lot for the building. With COVID-19 still lurking about, the livestream classes will still be beneficial and glad that these are still in the schedule! Hoping some outdoor classes might be offered as well! Glad that another studio has come to town and offering affordable yoga, meditation and a sense of community during these trying times!

A welcoming (& hella clean) studio with a variety of classes to choose from. From Vinyasa, to…read moreEnergy Medicine Yoga, Belly Dancing, SRY (Spinal Release Yoga) and more. They even have workshops from time to time like Full Moon Circles to Sound Baths, and other inclusive guided Yoga practices which I love because the teacher gets to work with you closely. Oh! And children are welcome! They even have a playroom for your kids! Yes, Mommies and Daddies you have no excuse for missing class anymore! I even met some friends and now we're best buds. I love this studio!
