Life-changing. Truly…read more When I first walked into Gina's class, I was taking gabapentin just to be able to function after being bedridden with a compressed disc and sciatica for months. I honestly wasn't sure how much I'd ever be able to move again with painkillers. Working with Gina, together with the support of my doctor, I was able to wean off the pills entirely. I'm now pain free and so much more mobile than I ever expected to be. Gina and her team got me back on my feet, and just as importantly, gave me the tools to keep my back healthy moving forward. I can't thank them enough. The community of members at Ascend is wonderful, too. They're warm, welcoming, and supportive, and I look forward to going to class not just for the workout but to connect with them. If you're on the fence, go. Ascend Pilates is the real deal.

I made a few calls to PT offices where no one picked up or they informed me the next appointment would be over a month from now. I needed a visit as soon as I could. I called Ascend PT and Gina immediately picked up, listened to my situation and quickly booked me in to be seen within a few days. Gina is very professional and personable. She made me feel very comfortable right away and gave top quality care. I felt immediate relief after she worked on my neck and gave me exercises to work on. At this point, I have seen so many physical therapists throughout my life and Gina is quite competent. Substantial progress was made each visit and I would leave visits feeling refreshed and pain free. Meanwhile, at other places, I would be in pain for several months before seeing any progress. After seeing Gina for a month and a half, I was 90% recovered and after three months, I feel so refreshed and able to do all my regular exercise routines and activities. I truly wish I had found Gina much earlier and will solely be seeking her guidance when I have future injuries~

Pink Salt Wellness has been a welcoming, inclusive, and empowering studio for me as a newcomer. The "wellness" component is not in name only, but has been a part of every class/practice I have completed so far there. I appreciate the emphasis on breath and intention in addition to poses. Teachers have been good at offering modifications in a way that doesn't single out individual students, and they emphasize that each individual's yoga practice is personal to their body. As a plus sized woman who is using yoga as a part of my journey to better health, I have felt included and encouraged to push myself in a safe and joyful manner. I feel very grounded and encouraged to improve my practice each day that I show up to the mat. I am still in my first month here, but I highly recommend Carmela's classes. She immediately learned my name and checked in with me about my skill and confidence level, and I feel like I come away a little stronger each class period. I also have enjoyed Femme Flow, which has helped a lot with my tight hip flexors and weak core. I haven't tried all of the classes/worked with all of the teachers yet, but am looking forward to deepening my practice in other modalities such as Yin yoga. So excited to be a part of this studio!

With an emphasis on breathing (with frequent reminders), as well as safe alignment, Corey provides options for extra challenges for seasoned yogis, while at the same time offering modifications for injuries or newcomers to the practice. There is something for everyone. Each class is different, with some underlying consistent themes. I am never bored with the class flow, since it changes from session to session. Corey's choice of vocabulary and analogies makes it enjoyable to listen while at the same time learning. He explains things concisely and clearly. What stands out most is Corey's kindness. He is thoughtful, caring, warm and welcoming to each and every student.
