Practicing yoga gives me more energy to tackle my overloaded schedule. It does give me momentum to think clearly and to be able to control my emotions. It makes me feel blissful. In this class, we played with arm balances and inversions, and then after the fun power flow, a yummy yoga nidra was offered. It really set the tone to my day!! I bet this class is even more amazing in person and hope to attend in person one day. This class absorbs energy with movement and meditation and I really felt so good and positive after. I love Isabella's classes and used to take her classes at Hot Box. Her energy is so inviting and her flows are thoughtful and sequenced perfectly! The owner of the studio, Casey, is caring, knowledgeable and breaks down poses clearly in her classes. She really believes that yoga should be offered to everyone and the prices for classes are the most affordable that I have ever seen. I scored an extremely affordable founding member monthly membership. She's adding more and more classes as well. The studio is situated downstairs right in what seems to be a wellness building complex right on Castro Valley Boulevard so it's very convenient and easy to find. Although the ventilation and natural lighting doesn't seem as good as other studios because it's downstairs, the studio is meticulously clean, sweetly decorated, and the best part is the wall to wall mirrors. I haven't practiced in a studio with mirrors in a long time so this was a treat to get to see my form. I have never had a problem with parking as well and there is a dedicated lot for the building. She doesn't rush through poses and is patient to make sure we get to our poses. She would offer alternatives for our poses to make sure we don't hurt. Every last Friday of the month, Angela would have a sound bath session as part of the yin yoga class. This studio provides blocks, blankets, bolsters, and more. Cubbies are in the front entrance for your shoes. Be sure you take them off before you step inside the actually studio room. Two bathrooms are in the back. The interior of the studio isn't something fancy if this is what you are expecting. More like a warehouse but it is very big to accommodate at least 20 something people. For parking, there is enough space for a limit number of cars. More parking on the street. However, the overall lot is small and can be hard to back out if you have a large car.
