Our experiences with the Cancer Center of Hawai'i occurred in 2010 at the St. Francis - West…read morelocation when my father was being treated for his esophageal cancer. We found the staff, medical and non-medical, to be very professional yet compassionate and personable. Little did we ever think we'd have reason to go to the Cancer Center, again. This time we're coming to the Liliha location in support of another family member of mine. Located in the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Medical Pavilion on the same property as St. Francis - Liliha, there is validated parking at this location. Thankfully, we were provided a parking pass during an earlier appointment here otherwise, we probably would've parked in the main parking structure. Once we passed the parking lot attendant, we took a ticket and turned LEFT at the T-intersection. We then followed the driveway down to the designated stalls for the Cancer Center. The Cancer Center is located on the Basement Level. Once we got out from the elevator, we headed for the reception desk where we scanned my family member's Cancer Center card to check-in. We like this barcode system because it also serves as identification and verifies the series of treatments that the patient is going through. Once the patient is checked in, we noticed how on-time they get the patients in and out of the clinic. Everyone in this clinic is respectful, helpful and friendly. We feel that it takes a special personality to work in this medical clinic. The staff does their best to make both the patient and their loved ones comfortable and kept informed. The Cancer Center's staff even gives you a sense of confidence and understanding. You feel their support that will help you get through this Life's challenge together, one day at a time.

I love Queen's and had given birth to all my 3 children there, that even my mom gave birth to me…read morethere as well. As you see this hospital means a lot to me and my family. But this time was different when we're back for our fourth baby. While admitted at The Queen's Medical Center for the birth of our fourth baby, my husband used the hospital valet service on 5/13/2026 at around 11:30 AM as I was going into active labor. Our vehicle remained in valet custody overnight. The following day, Thursday on March 14, 2026, around 11:00 AM, my husband retrieved the vehicle to run errands and discovered that the inside of our van had clearly been rummaged through. Cash and other small personal items were missing. A report was immediately made to hospital security, and a statement was taken. While the amount stolen may be considered minor, the violation of privacy and trust during such a vulnerable and important family moment is extremely upsetting. We understand valuables should never be left in vehicles, but patients and families should still be able to expect professionalism, honesty, and security from a hospital valet service -- especially during overnight stays connected to medical care and childbirth. We hope management takes this matter seriously and properly investigates the incident.

Patient room section nurses and aides are AWFUL. There are one or two that are on top of things…read more Our patient couldn't walk so when things like more water or an alarm going off in the room, patient pushes call button and no one comes. You can see the staff sitting and talking story but do not answer the calls for help. Discharge day was a surprise to everyone working. It's like there's nothing that would give the nurses that info. Not too mention the woman the works at the pharmacy. Patient is wheeled to pharmacy and has to wait. Wheelchair leaves. Patient gets meds and is told you have to go. Why the hell do I see my person hobbling out the hospital on crutches? I guess having a joint replaced is t serious enough for wheelchair assist. I will not go here. Send me to tripler. My chances for a good recovery seem better Don't contact me with some B.S. excuse Queens!

She looked on her computer and didn't see anything. She offered to call the doctor's office. In meantime I asked her for forms to be filled out since my daughter is a new patient. In the meantime she was to call the doctor's Office. I filled out the forms and gave it back to the receptionist and waited to be called. After about 20 minutes, I went up to the counter to ask for the bathroom key. It wasn't until then the receptionist had told me that she wasn't sure if I wanted to wait. Apparently she called the doctor's Office and there was a message that they were out to lunch and won't be back until 2:00 pm. It wasn't even 1:00 pm yet. I got a little irritates by this thinking and wondering if I hadn't gone up to the counter to ask for the bathroom key, we would have continued to sit there until after 2:00! I felt the receptionist should have at least let me know that she tried calling and that the office wouldn't reopen until after lunch at 2:00. I was pressed for time since I was taking my daughter to get her xrays done, using my lunch break. I ended up leaving and taking my daughter home so I could go back to work. End result was I called and left a message with the doctor's office who the called Hawaii Imaging to call in the paperwork. I ended up taking my daughter after work. Got there at about 4:30 and out in no time after! This place wasn't as crowded as earlier. Highly recommend going later in the afternoon. This location is walk in only. They also validate parking if you park in their lot in the back. I'd recommend calling to make sure they have received your orders from the doctor's office before heading down.

This Review is WAY OVERDUE! On Feb. 2nd, my son was admitted…read morefrom the ER to the 5th floor. There he received excellent treatment! His nurse, Matt, was absolutely great! He was responsive and very caring. My son felt safe with him. The night nurse, Cliff, was also very good too! Case managers, Beth and Tainika, kept our family up-to-date with our son's status. My son still has a slight yellow tinge to his skin, but he is stable and getting stronger thanks to the great care provided by the wonderful Pali Momi staff of doctors and nurses! Mahalo!

It's very difficult to rate Pali Momi because I feel that overall, their ER services and lab are…read morethe BEST on all of Oahu and the best hospital out of most of the hospitals I've been to in the mainland while my spouse was in the military. I would love them just because of their ER. If I were to move to Kahala, Kailua or Waianae, I would still drive to their ER in the dead of night over any other ER (if I could). I have never in my life described an ER visit as a service, but when I go to Pali Momi, it feels like a service. Like GREAT service for the money you're paying. I'm being catered to even when I have to wait a little for the Dr, the ER STAFF just feels like an ELEVATED level of care and not unprofessional or ratchet like other ER staff from other hospitals I've been to. The wait time here is always the shortest of any other ER we have gone to for other people. You won't catch the staff talking loudly or badly about a patient (had that happen at Castle ER). This ER will have have short, low murmured, light interactions and even when they're updating the next crew on patients before leaving - they are actually very discreet. With their ER, the staff station is just a comfortable or soothing buzz in the background and not like other ERs where people are talking loudly, yelling or laughing over each other while someone's in excruciating pain just a few feet away. I love how their ER has grown and how Pali Momi has UTILIZED their space on the first floor to make more rooms for the ER so that patients are not waiting long outside. That alone also adds to you feeling like they make efforts and give a damn about the service they provide. Whether you end up in one of the makeshift rooms at the back, I feel like they know how patients feel - once I'm inside - mentally I already feel a little better because I'm one step closer to being seen. The next step is waiting outside to be called and then when you're called they take you in to your room or space. You wait for the Dr., see the Dr, they do what needs to be done, then you either wait to be transferred to a room upstairs or wait for your papers and the nurse or doctor to speak about what you need to do once home or when you get your meds. This ER will CALL YOU shortly after your visit to FOLLOW UP on how you're doing. This is great! Anyway, let's talk about the service of their upstairs staff if you have to stay in the hospital. 1- This hospital is a lot cleaner compared to other hospitals, Queens in town and Straub on King st, but it could still be better. My mom had to stop a maid because she used the SAME flannel that she wiped the room with to wipe the bathroom and SINK!! The sink that nurses put the bottles on for the patient's water flushes for their feeding line or that patients themselves use. And if someone is in the room, they won't come all the way in to mop. I know they probably are just trying not to intrude but pls come in anyway to make sure the room is clean. If someone says they don't want it, fine but some people will appreciate it being cleaned thoroughly even if they're there. 2. The staffs upstairs are mostly great. You do have some very good nurses here, but I've encountered the same male nurse who walked in twice and almost use the SAME gloves he's had from visiting other patients. This is unacceptable as that's how OUTBREAKS happen. Your hospital has an awesome reputation, but that small carelessness from one person can ruin that. 3. Please please for the love of god, change or get a refund from the contractor that provides the sheets. I've been there a few times recently again and each time, the bed sheets do NOT FIT the beds! Please get bigger sheets that won't shrink in the dryer. I feel so bad for the CNAs and nurses when I help change my loved one's bed sheets and it doesn't even fit. To the point where the patient becomes uncomfortable due to the sheet bending the mattress inwards. I hope if we have another stay, that all the too small sheets have been replaced. 4. Keep up the great work. Your lab is very good at drawing blood and putting in IV lines for hard cases. We appreciate that so much. 5. Your insurance ladies are so polite when coming to ask for that and getting it done so we don't have to worry about it. I like that they will come to the patient to complete their paperwork or return their things so the patient doesn't have to come to them if they're unable to. 6. Shout out to your cafeteria. The staff in there is so efficient and kind. The place is clean and comfortable with plenty of seating.
