Front desk NEVER answers phone.. long holds and wait time to get thru and then get disconnected!!! I can barely understand the different receptionists who finally picks up! They have bad diction and unclear. Train receptionist to be more professional and hire more people to handle the phones. As far as MRI techs... they are all great! So there's nothing fun about getting an MRI but the team here makes it as comfortable and pleasant as possible. From when you're greeted, they are very friendly and extremely patient in explaining everything that needs done. They give you comfy scrubs to change into m, earplugs for the MRI and try to find music to help you relax through the procedure. When you leave, they give you cold water and chocolates, bonus chocolates are locally made so I love that they support another Hawaii business. My doctor got my abnormal results the next morning! Seeking information... For whatever reason one of the quickest way to get answers is through getting an X-ray though this visit was for mom to get an MRI and what a convenient location as their located in the Medical Arts Bldg on S.King Street. If you're driving parking is located in the back on Young Street no ticket or validation is needed and just park all the way in the back as the building on the right side is where they're located on the first floor and is very easy to find. The staff here is so nice and friendly, as there are a bunch of forms to sign and answer but the kindness here is soothing as gives you the comfort that you're going to be well take care of. Appointment was early at 6:45am but didn't take very long at all and once done she was given a goodie bag of a small bottle water and some cookies from Big Island Candies was a lovely touch as she didn't have anything to eat, the thoughtfulness was appreciated. I went in for an MRI today. I was a little apprehensive. I'm not claustrophobic but .... Anyway, from the moment I walked in the setting was relaxed. Fill in forms. Brought behind for health interview. I wore my own clothes which I preferred. Helped onto the table. They quickly and adeptly commenced to make me comfortable-put on earplugs, soft pillow under my legs, headphones for my preferred music, cushions all over and the X-ray ring over my arm. Like my mo tucking me int bed lol. I was ready to fall asleep. Process felt like 15 minutes even though they said 45 min - 1 hr. I would reccomend this place for MRI read more

This facility is outstanding in every way ! The reception is efficient & friendly. The staff nurse was also friendly & helpful The fish tank in the counsel room was spectacular ! I absolutely could not take my eyes off of the beauty of it all. It was extremely calming ! The MRI tech was also very professional & accomodating. The MRI itself was great ! It went smoothly & faster than I thought. The place is just beautiful & I really think it's cool that every room has a name / title in Hawaiian. When I was done, the reception gave me cookies & waters for both my husband & I, even though my husband was not a patient. He was just patiently waiting for me in the reception / waiting area. I had my first appointment here this evening, 11/10/25. (Was referred by Excel Health, which was authorized by the Veterans Care in the Community Network [VCCN]) My wonderful wife (yeah, she is) and I had arrived a bit early as we had dinner next door at Junpuu Ramen (HIGHLY RECOMMEND, as it was Recommended to me) -- We were actually 1.5 hours early. However, it gave me some time to fill out the paperwork. No worries. The front desk Staff were all SUPER KIND and SWEET!!! Was even offered some NOMS Chocolate and some mini bottles of water while we wait. WOW :)) The waiting area is quite nice, clean, almost feels like a living room and somewhat elegant LOL My wife LOVED the comfortable chair!!! My appointment was scheduled for 7:45pm. However, was able to start a little early. AWESOME. "Suzanne" took AMAZING Care of me and thoroughly explained what I needed to do or what was going to happen. She brought us back to use restroom, provided some loose, comfortable pants (think they're called Scrubs) to change into and a locker with key to store clothes in. We were brought back to another small waiting room with a huge fish tank with one of the biggest Moorish Idols I'd ever seen (used to Scuba) and Pufferfish. I was interviewed briefly and waited a little longer. I truly apologize, I forgot the other AMAZING woman' name who was operating MRI Machine. She checked to see if I as ok as I was having muscle spasms and pain in my low back and right leg during the scan. This Imaging Facility is Hands-Down DA BEST Imaging place ON ISLAND!!! I've had 5 MRI's in past 2 decades and this is the ONLY place that offers you headphones with "music" of whatever genre you like (I chose Classic Rock) that CAN go into the MRI machine. I'm not claustrophobic or anything but the music made the experience LESS stressful than hearing the annoying clicks and low to high pitched buzzing sounds. I mean, it doesn't totally block out the irritating sounds. BUT, if you're singing along with the tunes. You can kinda drown out and ignore them. I thought it was quite pleasant! It actually allowed me not to think too much about my radiating pain either!! Finished about 8:45pm. Initially was supposed to finish 9pm. -- As we were leaving I said, Thank You to everyone!!! Was even offered MORE Chocolate and water from the SWEET young woman at the front desk. WOW, BONUS :)) Unfortunately, my wife said I didn't need anymore :'( HAHAHA Once again, "Suzanne" went Above and Beyond and held 3 doors open for up as my wife was helping push my wheelchair. She also warned my wife and I that it can get slippery in the parking lot (had been raining) and to be extremely careful when transferring from my wheelchair to the car. WOW, this Facility and Staff, ROCK!!!!! Oh, and MAHALO to "Pearl" for being so SWEET and KIND and explaining the parking lot situation of where to park, and location of wheelchair access. Very Nice. I've been there twice in the last couple weeks: once for the R knee and then for the L one. The waiting area and bathroom remind you more of a small luxury hotel than a clinic. Their thick koa clip boards are not only beautiful but functional: they're like a mini portable desktop that making writing super ez. The staff from front desk to procedure are all very nice and helpful. Bonus: when you leave you get a small bag of chocolate clusters in a resealable ziplock luxury pouch and the perfect size bottle of water to rehydrate after the procedure. Oh yeah: you can watch TV w VR goggles inside the MRI chamber so the procedure almost goes by too quickly 'cause you wanna watch the end of your show. All I can say is ALL imaging clinics should be like this one, and if I could, I'd live there. read more

Took my son here for a scan of his knee, from the moment we stepped in we were treated so kindly. Staff is great, the office and facilities are beautiful, we were taken care of so well and everything was explained so clearly and thoroughly. We felt like we were checking into a spa, honestly. lol I loved the water bottle and custom treat we received at the end of our appt as well! Periodically I need to get MRI scans and since I tend to get claustrophobic, its never a pleasant experience so when I heard about InVision, I asked my doctor for a referral to get the scan done there and am so grateful I did. The machine did not seem that different from others - I thought the hole was going to be larger than usual, but it seemed regular size (but I didn't look too close since I was trying to control my anxiety.) But what sets InVision apart from having an MRI done at the hospital, is the environment. Other reviewers mention "spa-like" and it does have that vibe with the decor, soothing colors, orchids. And being in such a pleasant space did calm my nerves and make the whole experience less traumatic. On arrival, you have to fill out a bit of paperwork then you are taken back to waiting room that has an aquarium in the wall where you talk to a tech about the procedure. Next you go into a small changing room with a locker and after changing into some scrubs you lock up your clothes and valuables. The actual scan took about 45 minutes and I had ear plugs and listened to music but the sound of machine was very noisy. The tech continued to ask me via the earphones, how I was doing and I had a little bulb to hold to press in case I needed help. This was all reassuring. About mid way through, they came and injected some dye in an IV. I still do not like MRI's but having it done here helped make it less stressful so if I need another MRI in the future, I'll be sure to come back. NOTE: The next day I called and picked up a CD copy for a doctor which was most helpful. ANOTHER NOTE - the day after I posted this review I opened the small box of chocolates given to me when I left and found a card from the owner with his PHONE NUMBER to call if there was anything wrong with my experience at InVision. Exceeded expectations! This current MRI experience was better than expected--just because of the "little things". I have had MRI's before, and I have been a patient at Invision before, too. None of my previous experiences, before today, were negative. Total time of this current encounter was less than what I was advised it would be, so that was greatly appreciated. All staff I encountered were knowledgeable--able to answer questions and helpful with moving me through all of the tasks that needed to happen during my appointment. I had contacted this office maybe 3-4 weeks ago to get this appointment scheduled. Maybe my referral had not been received and reviewed completely before my initial call to you to schedule this appointment? My only recommendation would be to inform callers up front when they call to schedule appointments if you do not yet have all of the information needed to schedule appointments--at that time. Went in for my appointment that I got a reminder text about the day before, when I got there, they said I don't have an appointment. Confused, I showed them the message I got, the front desk people were not sure how I got that message. It turned out somebody there canceled my appointment a couple minutes after I made it. They helped me make an appointment for 2 days later and let me fill out the paperwork then so I could just go right in when I came back. When I came back, it was a pretty quick and easy process. I got my results back quickly. I do have to go back another time but I am having trouble with booking an appointment with them this time, as the lady who does the scheduling is not there on the days I call. I enjoyed the whole experience although I was going in for a scan all the staff made sure I felt comfortable and let me know every step of the way. They addressed each step and helped me to calm down. The highlight is their enormous fish tank in the middle. Beautifully kept and the fish were out and about because I guess it was feeding time. InVision made the whole MRI process easy for anyone! My entire experience from start to finish was east, comfortable and more than exceptional. Upon PA approval from my insurance, I got a phone call from the office to set up an appointment. The earliest appointment available was about 2 weeks out. She gave me multiple options and worked with me. Appointment is visible on My Chart - very convenient. Text message and phone call reminder a few days prior. Check in was seamless - one guest allowed with you, waiting room was comfortable. Kobi (sp?) assisted me with check in - paperwork, injury interview and guiding me to changing room. My female technician (Amber?) was very patient with me as I was still walking slowly due to injury. She made sure to explain what to expect during the MRI, made me comfortable with a warmed blanket, put TV on and checked in with me through out the entire process. Getting a STAT appointment with Invision was not impossible. With every other imaging facility stating about 2-3 weeks out. Ashley was able to ease my concerns by fitting me in. Although it was a late appointment, I'm glad they were able to accommodate me when I needed. The tech aide that night, Suzanne was so informative! She knew I worked for another facility but still was very thorough with the process and told me what to expect. Kristan, the technician was great! She knew I was claustrophobic and made me feel so comfortable! Collectively, I believe InVision is one of the best; the atmosphere and the culture is comforting. I've had one other MRI experience and I think it was at a hospital and it was different from what I experienced here. Compared to the one at the hospital, I would say it was more relaxed and I didnt feel as claustrophobic. I remember the one at hospital the machine was so loud and I think it got me scared like I remember my heart was beating so hard and fast I guess since that was my first time. I also remembered they asked if I had preferance so they can play the music I liked and but no headphones. I also remembered a difference at the hospital machine, how to explain, when you're going in the machine tube like the thing the top part wasn't close or like closed in so I still had space all around me. At this location it felt like I went in a tighter space with like my face almost touching the top or ceiling and that made me feel super claustrophobic BUT I got ear plugs and headphones here and the sound of machine was almost non existent and the headphones were used so I could here the lady who was in constant communication with me and I could follow her instructions of taking in my breath and holding it. They also allowed breaks for any reason like if you were just feeling any time of way and needed to breath or any problems. Now for my test I had to take a breath in and hold it when they took the pictures of my heart and I felt like I was doing that the whole one hour every 5-10 seconds! I got sleepy at one point and a top is to not take a deep breath just your normal breaths in as you can get dizzy lol. Anyways the staff and techs all made me feel comfortable and the office is so nice. They have a nice aquarium in one of the waiting rooms. After my appointment apparently they make a cd or dvd of your results, they were having trouble making mines so they said they would mail it to me but I haven't received it yet and it's been a couple weeks already.oh well as long as my doctor got the results which she did and I'm fine. They also gave me a nice bag that had a small water bottle and some Hawaiian cookie co shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate how nice! Great customer service! read more

The best place in town to get a scan! (Luckily I haven't had to have too many). Staff great. They keep you informed about timing, since like all things medical there can be disruptions due to emergencies and technical problems. So we took an appointment here rather than at a clinic close to our home because we were able to get in quick (a few days later on a Sun). The clinic close to our home was over a month wait for an available appointment. I've been to many imaging centers across the country and this one is by far the best! I was so impressed by the ambience of the place from the music, decor, and the friendliness of the staff. I've only done my MRI's in hospitals and now I wish I could've done all my MRI's here. If hospitals make you nervous ask if you can come here. The entire experience prior to the actual MRI made me feel like I was getting ready for a visit to a day spa. The staff were all friendly, the decor is very classy and well put together, i was able to get a cd copy of my MRI, and got a thank you gift. I had an early morning appointment. My doctor received my MRI the same day and was able to call me late in the afternoon with my results. read more

This review is WAY overdue . . . Last year, I had a ruptured disc in my C6-C7 spine and to appropriately diagnose my condition, I was required to submit to an MRI. I work in healthcare, so I understand what we're doing, why we're doing it, and that, at times, it can and will be miserable for the patient. This time, however, it was me being tortured. I had been referred to InVision by my neurosurgeon, and since I trust him literally with my life, I agreed that this MRI experience would be much better than the one at QMC (Queen's Medical Center). I arrived on time, and was immediately ushered into their suite, asked to disrobe, given a locker and an explanation of what to expect while in the MRI machine. Most of this I already had knowledge of. Lying in the machine normally wouldn't be an issue for me except that with the disc issue I was experiencing, and the position that they were requiring me to lay still in for 45 minutes perfectly was, needless to say, going to be the longest and most painful 45 minutes of my life. It didn't help that that particular position was the only one that caused me intense and excruciating pain. I expressed my concern, and was reassured that they would try and work as fast as possible, but I would have to do my part and stay perfectly still . . . YIKES! I really wished they could have given my something to take the edge off, but thankfully I only had to go through this once. The staff were professional, supportive, understanding and friendly. InVision is a beautifully designed office making my experience somewhat better. If you are referred here, rest assured that you're in good hands. read more

Called multiple times. They said they never got the fax- my doctor sent the fax in 3 times. They call to schedule I say oh no they said called the other location so I call king street the lady on the phone said oh we have something Monday morning we will call back. So i am always having to call them and that oops sorry we gave it away, We are so bad at it. Then that they will call me back after a few days to discuss with a radiologist. Yeah avoid this place cause obviously like they mention they are a stand alone and maybe you will have better luck getting an appointment at a hospital. I had a pleasant experience with Invision. My initial MRI appointment at Straub wasn't bad but I found out I was claustrophobic, or at least the Straub MRI tubes are was small for me. Invision MRI tubes are big enough for people who are claustrophobic. The staff who were helping me are also lovely. During my hour long scan, she didn't fail to check on how I'm doing and communicated well what was going to happen and how long it will take. The music helped eased my anxiety and they provided extra blankets because it was cold. Their reception area, waiting area and even their restroom were clean and smelled nice. The scent added to the calming experience. Hopefully I won't need anymore MRI scans but if I do, I will definitely go here again. read more

I had to come here for my daughter's MRI on her back. I have never been to a MRI clinic so I didn't know what to expect. We came early to her appointment and checked in upon arrival. The parking was located behind the building on the 2nd floor which is that same level that inVision Imaging is located. The building itself is hard to figure out so I needed to ask the security guard where I needed to go. The clinic was located right next door to a Ramen place. The outside waiting room was nice and empty but it didn't stay empty for long. More and more people started arriving and the waiting room became quite full. Also, the people arriving after us went in before us. I figured we were early so they were just people who had earlier appointments. But about 5 people arrived after us went in before us. Another lady who came after us started complaining that she came before the people that just went in. The staff had to tell her that they had an earlier appointment then her and that she would be helped soon. Finally, our turn was called and my daughter and I entered the doors and friendly lady explained to my daughter that she needed to change clothes for the exam. She also apologized that they were running about an hour late so that's why it took so long to be helped. After my daughter changed her clothes, she showed us to the waiting room and explained the MRI exam to my daughter. My daughter was happy to find an Ipad in the waiting room that she could use since her phone was almost dead from playing on it while we waited outside. Once she went into the exam room, she chose to watch TV during the exam and I was asked to wait outside until the exam was done. It took about an hour for the exam to be completed because my daughter moved at the end but I got to take a nice walk outside during that time. Overall, my daughter seemed to enjoy the experience even though I was worried about the exam and my daughter the whole time. read more

Invision Imaging is located on the corner of King St and Victoria St, across from Thomas Square Park. Parking entrance for Invision is on Young St or surrounding street meter parking. There is two stalls reserved especially for Invision, look for the signs. Also don't forget to validate your ticket for free parking. Having to get an X-ray for my shoulder recommend by my Orthopedic doctor I was searching for a Imaging business. Yelp to the rescue again! Great solid reviews from my fellow Yeeps and fantastic hours of operation made it an easy decision for me. The Orthopedic doctor faxed over my paper work to them so I just came when I had time after work, easy peasy. I came in a 3:30 on a Wednesday and was out of there in 10 minutes. Important information, X-rays are only done Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm. No appointment necessary, walk-in. For MRI's you need to schedule an appointment. X-ray department is in the basement level and MRI department is on the parking lot level. read more

I had an appointment for two separate MRI's. When we entered Invision, we were greeted by Lyndsey and Julie. Both were amazing, friendly and helpful. They made sure I had copies of the MRI's and verified my doctors appointment to ensure the MRI's were sent to my doctor. Over the last ten years I have taken six MRI's so naturally the anxiety and nervousness is present. However, this time was the best!!! I was greeted by Jessica Becerril and she immediately made me feel like we had known each other for years. That made me feel very relaxed and eased some of my anxiety. Jessica took the time to identify my issues of concern and reassured me that she would make sure I was ok while inside the MRI machine. During the almost two hours of imaging, Jessica continually checked in to make sure I was ok, comfortable and if I had any concerns and let me know that the images were looking good. All of the employees at Invision are of the highest quality. I strongly recommend requesting Jessica Becerril for your MRI. Thank you Invision and all of your amazing employees. Just had a MRI tonight. Of course I'm extremely claustrophobic. Got the usual sedative to calm me down. MRI was supposed to be 45 minutes. Finished in around 30 minutes. Want to comend the awesome staff. Vince, Suzanne and I think her name was Erma sorry if I got anyone's name wrong. They were the best crew I have had to go to. They made you comfortable and informed you if what to expect. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND I VISION IMAGING if you ever have to have a procedure. If I ever have to do it again I will definitely go to them. After a super lengthy injury, my doctor sent me here for imaging to see what was still wrong with me. I've had many MRI's before, and I know the drill-no metal anywhere. To keep my clothes on, I just wear workout clothes and tell them there's no metal and I've never had an issue until now... We arrived on time for my appointment, and I was told there would be a 30 minute wait to get seen. I asked if I could duck next door and have dinner but they said no, which made me cranky. I then asked to keep my clothes on, and they said no also, and made me change into their scrubs despite not having any metal on me. My husband was with me and they finally showed us to an interior waiting room with a fish tank and tablet to play with. After awhile, they came back and told us they were delayed, and it would be ANOTHER half hour. At this point, my husband left and got us food next door and we scarfed it down super fast. Despite that, once we finished our food they were still not ready, and I'm still in scrubs looking a fool. Once we finally got in the machine room they did let him stay with me and provided us both hearing protection because of the incessant noise. The scan was fine, and the tech was friendly. At the end they gave us a goodie bag with hand wipes, water, and chocolate, which was weird after a scan, but at that point, I'd take anything. I'm not sure if I just got them on a bad day, but it was overall a mostly negative experience, despite their attempts to be high end with their Maile scented rooms, and kukui nut adorned room keys. MRI's are bad enough without dragging things out hours, and making people uncomfortable. read more
