I was scheduled at Invision Imaging at Waterfront today as Straub was completely booked. It was my first experience there and what a delightful surprise! HELEN at the front reception desk was SO nice, professional and welcoming; she answered my questions on the phone prior to my visit, greeting me when I arrived. The office is beautiful and immaculate. TIM, the technician was also wonderful, putting me at ease right away. They even took me earlier than my scheduled time - outstanding service bar none and if I have the opportunity to request where I receive future imaging this will be my absolute 1st choice! As I left they validated my parking - it's free and a plus since Straub has raised their parking fees. I was also given a bottle of water and a little sweet treat! My true rating is actually 0 stars!!! If you are someone that does their due diligence and actually reads the documents BEFORE you sign them, you will have problems here!!!! My documents, one of which I have attached below, contained incorrect information and I was also asked to initial and acknowledge items that were not pertinent to the service I was there for. I was also asked to initial and acknowledge that I RECEIVED their Notice of Privacy Practices when I didn't. When I asked the girl at the front desk if I could a copy of their NOPP, she told me that it was posted on the wall in the lobby and if I wanted a copy she would have to pull down what was on the wall and make a copy for me. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! She said they don't have copies for their customers when their customers SHOULD, per the language on the form below, RECEIVE A COPY OF THE NOPP. It should be left up to the customer to decide whether or not they want a copy of the NOPP. The changes that I requested were minor, in nature. I got conflicting information from the front desk person, Samantha, and some man who identified himself as the vice president. It was the man who identified himself as the vice president who said that if I refused to sign their forms AS-IS, he was refusing service to me. I WILL NOT be COERCED into signing!!!!! He was adamant, unwilling to listen to my reasoning, and unwilling to work with me. Honestly, I don't think that he, a man from a perceived superior race here in Hawaii, appreciated that I schooled him on contract law. My points were valid and if he is a person with average comprehension skills, he would have conceded and worked with me. My proposed changes in no way would have put them at a legal disadvantage. Insight gives full validation The business is conveniently located on the ground floor & a short walk from the parking area. Staff is friendly & professional. They still follow covid protocols, which we appreciate - temp check upon entry, masks required, & hand sanitizer provided. Waiting area was nice & roomy with a TV. Chairs were socially distance spaced. They told us the appt would be around 2 - 3 hrs. I was surprised that he was done in 2 hrs. He was given a nice goody bag of snacks: 2 bottles of Hawaii Water, pkg of Planters peanuts, KIND energy bar, bag of Popcorners kettle corn, & the best - a box of 3 cookies from Big Island Candies I had brought my own lunch while I waited. Missed seeing the no food or drink sign at the door so when I got out my sandwich the front desk gal politely told me I had to eat outside. Calling to confirm and changing appointment dates are a breeze. Staff are courteous via phone and in person. Do not let this location deter you from visiting as InSight Imaging offers free, validated parking in Restaurant Row. Ambiance is clean, modern and organized. Receptionists are friendly and helpful in answering questions. Technicians are easy going, very thorough in explaining instructions and makes the process simple, comfortable and efficient. I felt very comfortable with my feet elevated on a soft, sturdy cushion. Staff will ask if you need your parking ticket validation, offer complimentary bottle of water and apple to refuel energy from fasting. I gave four stars as I received detailed results on reports from my primary doctor within a few days. Reports came back normal. I was surprised and my intuition or premonition told me to keep my prescheduled appointment to see a specialist. I'm glad I did. read more

One of the biggest issues I have with this place is: THERE IS A $600 CANCELLATION FEE if you cancel your appointment. Yeah, you read that right SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS. What kind of place charges elderly that kind of money if they cancel an appointment? When folks are taking caring of frail, elderly people with serious health issues, sometimes problems arise and they need to cancel an appointment. Or as in our case, a Drs office scheduled the appointment without consulting my mom or me about when that appointment was scheduled. So we're stuck with an appointment that totally doesn't work for us, yet if we cancel the appointment and try to reschedule, these jackasses are gonna charge us 600 dollars. Trust me, if we can find another place to do this type of scan, we're going there. I refuse to support a business that rakes sick or elderly people over the coals for money. $600 - I still can't wrap my head around that. read more

Very convenient location in downtown, at Restaurant Row. When you park, go to the stairs leading to the makai side. Insight Imaging is at Waterfront Bldg 5, just to the right, across from Ruth's Chris. They provide free validated parking. Here for a PET scan for my dad. And considering my interactions with them (won't bore you with the details with my dad wanting to cancel the appointment and then his other doctor telling him to do it), I have not had anything negative to say. Their procedures are very straightforward and their customer service is exemplary. The staff on the phone and in person are all very calm, patient, friendly. Regarding the PET scan, the first interaction is usually them calling you via phone to schedule an appointment. Usually during this call, they ask some screening questions and email you instructions on what and what not to do to prep for the PET scan. They'll call again a few days prior to ensure that you are still good to go for the appointment, and may have other followup screening questions. Remember, that there is a cancellation fee if no cancellation notification prior to 24 hours of the appointment time. One of the instructions that my dad had to do was to not wear anything metal. He still showed up with pants with zipper, so they gave him pants to change into. The lobby waiting area has lots of seating, seats that can fit two people, spaced out. Then in the private single prep rooms, there is a nice big comfy reclining chair for the rest time before the PET scan. The doctor/technician was very clear on describing the procedure for me to translate to dad and very open to questions. Very approachable. As I sat in the very comfortable waiting room, I overheard the receptionist arranging cab rides for patients. Talk about full service! They also validate parking. Went to InSight Imaging with my husband. The wait time was long however, staff was amazing friendly. As I waited for my husband, I noticed that outgoing patients were given a bag with water, scented warm towel, ect. I am familiar with this customer service because I have gone to Invision Imaging several times. They ALWAYS give a bag with several items including water, warm towel, ect. When my husband completed his procedure, he was only offered water or coffee. Customer service? Selective offers? Will not ever return to this business establishment. read more

I had an appointment scheduled at 10:45 this morning and at 10:15 I received a call from them cancelling my appointment. I had prepped for the last 12 hours and this is the second time they have done this to me. I don't know what is going on down there but something is up. It used to be such a great experience, but it is now a total shit show. Do everything possible to avoid this awful place. Never again. Came here when my husband had a kidney stone (his urologist recommended InSight Imaging). He had something show up on an x-ray at a medical center so he came here for an ultrasound and they somehow COMPLETELY missed it on the ultrasound. His urologist then sent him for a CT scan since he hadn't passed the stone and they STILL didn't note it on the CT scan results. A few days later he passed the stone but we are beyond frustrated that TWICE they didn't notice it and we still had to pay for the tests. Positives were simply that the staff was friendly and they validate parking but I am 100% sure we will never come here again. Ever. read more

I had an appointment not knowing what to expect from the time you walk thru the door and lounge in their very clean waiting room and the pesonel make you feel at ease it seems like thats their prioriy everything went seamless and by the time i knew it we were done. My experience with this clinic was excellent. They are friendly and caring. Arranging transport to and fro perfectly executed. It was a busy day there, I had a bit of a wait, but that happens. When the whole procedure was over I was shaky from a long, long fast. The nurse offered me coffee, but also provided a small snack, just enough to break my fast. I was so relieved I cried. Recently received a card from them saying they were making a financial donation to Make a Wish Hawaii Foundation on "my behalf". What a lovely thing to do. I think I made a mistake by choosing this place to have my ultrasound done. They wouldn't mind sending messages to keep reminding me about my appointment but once the appointment is done, you will never hear back from them again. I kept calling them for my test result and it's very frustrating. First time they told me I had to go follow up with doctor, then call them back for the copy. Then I followed up with my doctor and my doctor said she still didn't have it after one week. Then I called back, the lady asked for all the information again and then said she would fax and email but nothing. I called back again and asked what happened, then another lady asked all my information again and said she would fax and call me to confirm. I just keep looking at the clock and sitting and waiting. Guess what I think it's almost 5pm. I think it's time for them to go home. So after a week, I still don't have my test result. I will have to talk to my insurance and make sure they are aware the test might be invalid since the lab can't provide result. read more

Went to InSight imaging with my husband for his PET scan. The technician caused my husband a great deal of pain. He has had shoulder surgery and on a good day, cannot keep his arms above his head for a long time. He,is also broad chested. The technician kept pushing him into the machine to the point he had no sensation in his arms. He has had pain in both shoulders since. He's going thru chemotherapy and radiation and shouldn't have to deal with pain in his shoulders caused by an uncaring technician. They should make sure someone can fit into the machine and is able to hold a certain position for long periods before going thru the exam. Very unsatisfactory experience, I have told my insurance company to look for someone else to do these scans. read more
