Our experience with Dr. Nabours has been very disappointing. At our initial 15-minute consult in…read moreearly September, we explained that our daughter is medically complex and asked whether she felt comfortable taking on her case. She encouraged us to book a full appointment, so we did. We then had a 90-minute appointment that consisted mostly of discussing our daughter's medical history and current health issues, but no treatment plan or concrete recommendations were provided. The only action taken was ordering a blood draw. It took a full week just to receive the requisition form, something our other doctors always provide the same or next day. When the requisition finally arrived, we noticed tests were ordered that we had specifically said were not needed (such as cortisol and thyroid panels), because our daughter's endocrinologist regularly monitors those. After the blood draw, communication essentially stopped. We emailed a week later asking if results had been received and also asked for guidance ordering a stool test, mentioning that we wanted to schedule our next appointment once that was done and also mentioning that our daughter isn't doing well. We never received any reply. Even after blood results were available and uploaded in our patient portal, there was no follow-up, and no review of the findings, even though there were some abnormal blood markers. The office simply never contacted us again. Given the lack of communication, lack of guidance, and absence of a treatment plan, we cannot recommend this provider. We felt our daughter was ultimately abandoned without any follow-through despite her not feeling well and our attempt to move forward with care.

I was at a loss, especially as I depended on the medications prescribed to me by this individual. Unsure as to what I could do, I started reaching out to various providers to start seeing someone new. It took me a month, but I finally came across Dr. Blaisdell. I left a message with her, and I got a quick call back that very same day. And I have been seeing Dr. Blaisdell since that day. Dr. Blaisdell is a very warm, yet practical individual, and she helped me to navigate some of the toughest times in my life. She always listened with an open heart and mind and provided me with advice, suggestions, and resources that would help me through difficulties, as well as the activities of everyday life. She doesn't believe in overmedicating someone because of issues, but instead she tries (and successfully) so to reach a balance between medication and therapy. I truly appreciate her very pragmatic approach and I have been a lot more stable and feeling like myself ever since I started seeing her. I would like to thank Dr. Blaisdell for her time and energy, her expertise, and her commitment. I feel safe. I feel comforted. I feel like I can go on.

I was reaching out to her again because I've been under her care since March 2019. I had a major depressive episode. I had suicidal ideation thoughts. I had to step down from a supervisory position in my company. Thankfully at that time, my social worker sister called me everyday and I recovered. I was able to step back up into my supervisory job. I am in the healthcare field and when Covid started and lasted so long, it impacted my company tremendously. By March of 2022, I started to experience depression once again. With both episodes, FMLA done to give me time off and protect my job. Last week I reached to her again due to anxiety and panic attacks. Yesterday with in the first few minutes of the session when I explained that I had looked into the requirements of filing for FMLA with the new automated intake system, her tone of voice changed. She told me she doesn't do FMLA anymore. She said it's really difficult to find a new practitioner who is willing to a new patient in short notice. At the same time within pausing for a beat, okay to $25 for the session today and right away the charge came up the screen. It took me by surprised. I paid it right away. Then she referred me to a provider. She is doing all of this during the session, emailing me his information and the session came to end. I started to feel a sense of hopelessness again after the call but logic return. Started thinking clearly, did Google search and found there are available doctors taking new patients. With two MDE, I am in a very fragile state of mind, having a difficult time with toxic coworkers. I understand about boundaries and setting limits, so when Dr. Blaisdell-Brennan told me she couldn't help me this time. I was okay with it. But, the way I felt she was addressing me was just very disrespectful and unsettling. My username here on YELP is not my real name so there will be no record in your business, Dr. Blaisdell-Brennan. You have the right to respond to this review but don't try to discount it. I am taking the time to write this review because I know how hard it is to find trustworthy medical professionals, how important it is to be able to trust a doctor who is going to prescribe powerful medications to you.
