Pick 5 Deal - $6.35 total includes tax
    Gretchen S.

So I've never been to a Krystal before. We don't have them in Hawaii. Wanted to grab breakfast here for the first time, so I pulled through the drive thru. Of course it was gonna take me a minute, but there was no line, so I asked the cashier politely to give me a minute. After pondering over the breakfast items, I realized I was 21 minutes too late, as they stop serving at 11am. Just to buy myself more time, I said I was sorry and didn't realize they had already stopped serving breakfast and that it was my first time ordering here. The cashier's tone sounded disgusted like I should've known that anyway, even though it was my first time and the print was super fine about that part. She then indicated that I should basically hurry up or hold on, because she needed to cash out the only customer in front of me. Not sure why she needed to tell me that, especially in that tone, as most fast food places are able to multitask without orders interfering with each other. In any case, after already being rushed and put off by her tone, I decided on getting the "Pick 5" deal which came out to $6.35 total. It took me a minute to figure out which five items I wanted, so I quickly listed four and said, "And also..." indicating there was more coming. She gets on the mic and really rudely says, "Ma'am you need one more item, you only have four." I'm thinking wow, I know how to count lol. There's a lot of sweets on the Pick Five deal, which is what I was trying to avoid, but I settled for a slushie as my final item... You know the funny thing is, most times when you get rude or poor service, you ask to speak to the manager. However, I'm glad I didn't cuz I when I pulled off, I read the receipt and apparently she is the manager! Lol so that says a lot. I can understand if there was a line growing, but it was literally just me and one other person in the drive thru. No need to act rude and rush people especially after they tell you it's their first time there. She clearly just didn't want to be bothered with the wait. The food itself was okay. The corn pup and fries were not impressive. Imagine McDonald's fries with no salt and cold. The cheese Krystal, 4pc chicken nuggets, and fruit punch slushie were good. I would get those items again. I'm just not rushing back to this location if I'm gonna be treated in that manner. On another note, if you go during breakfast hours, there are a lot of great looking options, including a low carb breakfast bowl. I'll probably go back to try some of those items, but probably at another location sadly.

I wanted a chik when I pulled up but they were advertising new fish sandwiches. I ordered 2 and they are Delicious. They come on a soft bun and a dollop of tartar sauce. Definitely need to add cheese and a little more tartar sauce. Hopefully they have a meal deal for it soon.

I heard about the chicken tenders that they recently got so i said wth im gonna try it, if you're a chicken tender loves you gotta try'em.

Honestly people talk bad about this place but it's the customers that make it bad "the customers are not always right" i've come here a lot so I've seen a lot of things happen and the crew always tried to solve the situation the best way they could. Their food is exceptional and the service is great, of course there will be days that it seems your order takes forever but don't forget you're not the only one ordering and who doesn't love fresh made food and fries. Yes actually fresh made food

Love the breakfast! I either get the 3 egg platter or the bowl with sausage, egg, grits and cheese. Fast and delicious!

Food is always good. I would've given 5 stars but they didn't have any extra butter for my sausage scrambler bowl.

On the one hand, they do not have a lot of parking, but on the other hand, most of their customers were there on foot as Weir most of the customers for the other businesses in the strip. We walked in and were able to order within about two minutes. The menus were easy to understand with pictures for everything and the staff made things easy as well. As we ordered and I asked for the Birria Burrito, they asked which one. I let them know that I had seen a video on TikTok about their Birria burrito, but that I hadn't seen it on their menu and that was what I wanted to order. They said it was the Birria Cali and that it was very popular lately. I mean, yeah- the video made it look phenomenal and the audio with it was funny. I had also, previously, seen a video about their Machete and wanted to order that because it looked awesome as well. They had 2! One Birria (beef) and the other was Governado (shrimp). We went for the Birria- of course. Honestly, the Birria Burrito had plenty of flavor and more variety in flavor due to the various fillings- Mexican crema, lettuce, guacamole, potatoes (surprising, but honestly VERY good), plenty of cheese, and the Birria (and the sauce is poured right in- which I think could be avoided). It was delicious, but it shouldn't have been served on the paper as the paper began to rip when I started cutting up the burrito. I had wanted to eat the burrito like a burrito, but the moment that I picked it up, it became nearly impossible. The burrito completely opened up and all the fillings started pouring out onto the paper. I was able to wrap it up again with about half the fillings, but the burrito tortilla was so wet that it was just a huge mess. I ended up eating half of the burrito with a fork. I don't know why they didn't serve it on a plate. The Birria Machete was super flavorful and simple, just Beria meat and cheese with a cup of their dipping Birria soup. It was also nearly 2 feet long! Very cool. I began to wonder if the corn tortillas for the Birria Machete were made in store. I asked- and they said they do make it themselves! The corn tortillas were the most flavorful corn tortillas I've ever had! They had texture and they were clearly NOT the type of corn tortillas that I get at most places, those premade floppy unflavorful corn tortillas like the ones you get in the pack of 150 at the grocery store. When I find out, I will let you know because the texture and flavor of the corn tortilla on the Machete was phenomenal. The place was packed when we got there. It was packed when we left. Clearly, they get plenty of business. Everyone around us seemed happy and content with their food and so were we. I will definitely be back for another Machete to try some other things as well. Give them a shot if you haven't been.

The food was actually superb. But, I don't like their deceptive pricing. Like would you like this…read moreand this. And you can actually get half and half. Then the menu prices become inflated without any notice. But for one of the "upgrades" or whatever the reasoning for the extra charge, it was only shredded lettuce along with a small dollop of sour cream and guacamole. It was rather sad. It's something you'd get standard at a chain restaurant like El Sombrero. Oh. If you get the consome, it will be an extra charge of $2.45. And they won't tell you that. But other than that, the food was good! I really liked how they had a separate birrias menu. Make sure you bring wet wipes because your hands will be oily. The birria sliders were delicious. Our strange total came out to be $16.90. Even with the $2.45 consome factored in, the total isn't $15.40. Since they were sliders, it's rather small. They're the size of the square dinner rolls but packed full of cheese, oil, and half chicken and beef. The beef was slightly more tasty compared to the chicken but both was just soaked with their variety of flavors. The birria quesadillas were $17.40. Even with the extra $2.45 with the consome, their math is not equaling $15.95 -- whacky! As for the taste profile, deliciousness. These three quesadillas were pretty massive. And like my sliders, they were equally oily and messy to consume. The horchata was really tasty. For a large, it was $6.75. It tasted different from other places. There was a nice rice flavor to it and less of the cinnamon flavor. Would I visit again? I think not. Good food. Prices were bleh, especially how it seems like we were charged more than their menu prices.

This time, they launched the Classic Cup sandwich meal, with a chance to win a Golden Cup for a year of free sandwiches. One thing I really like is that through the app, you can add tomato slices and lettuce. In my opinion, a good sandwich definitely needs some veggies to balance the flavors. I chose their signature waffle chips this time, and surprisingly, they were really crispy and tasty. For the drink, I went with the Sunshine -- a mix of lemonade and iced tea -- which was quite refreshing and unique. Sadly, I still got the regular cup, not the golden one But overall, it was a satisfying meal.

This is the equivalent of what I experienced last night when I drove away with my combo meal. The fries were coated at least 5 times over the recommended daily salt intake! There was so much salt that my mouth burned. It was straight sodium, industrial strength, stronger than any salt you'd find in your pantry. This restaurant earns the distinction of providing the saltiest fries I have EVER had in my LIFE! Hands down, no questions asked. I immediately called the restaurant as I was on the interstate. The mgr agreed that a replacement meal was appropriate. When I returned the next day, I was served another batch of salty fries-- not as ungodly as the first batch, but these were STILL bad. I looped around the drive-thru again and asked for NO SALT FRIES. I was given a fresh, unsalted batch, which proved that Heavy Handed Henry (or Henrietta) is either visually impaired, clumsy, doesn't know what salt is, or has damaged taste buds! I certainly hope that I am not the only person to have complained about fries that taste like they were soaked in saltwater for 20 years. Anyone who patronizes this Jimmy Carter location (haven't experienced this at other locations) needs to get their blood pressure checked. Stat!
