Like you, yelper, I know nothing about electricity. I needed to get a Tesla charger installed. I wrote to a handful of highly reviewed electricians here -- Ken responded right away and set a time to come out for a free estimate. When he came, he and his assistant were professional and easy -- they laid out the options and, by the way, INSTALLED AN EXTERIOR OUTLET for me during the inspection for no charge. They also gracefully tackled a few other electrical questions while I had them captive -- flickering light here, c-wire on the Nest thermostat... Bottom line -- they came out and took care of everything and were a joy to be around while they did it. And they fixed all the other minor stuff I mentioned (for no additional charge). And followed up later to ask how it was all going. And told me how to use the Tesla charger properly and adjust the settings in the car. 10/10. read more

I don't even know where to start. So I'll start off by saying thank you Ken for your work, expertise and professionalism you showed while fixing the mess I was in. I'm in the process of upgrading the kitchen in our home and while doing some work I came across some circuits and additions done by previous owners that was an utter mess. They had hots running on neutrals, they've used grey cables to make some connections and pretty much, EVERYTHING was all over the place. Even though I've dealt with a previous electrician (also found here on Yelp) and had a positive experience, I felt like going with Ken based on his reviews and the fact that people had already mentioned same day service. Well, they're not wrong, I made contact with Ken early in the morning and he was at my house assessing and troubleshooting the job by midday. I watched him use the proper tools to trace each connection and explained to me what needed to be done. He was kind enough to even tell me how to fix it but being a bit exhausted from the kitchen work I've been doing I asked how much he would charge to fix EVERYTHING for me instead. He gave a more than reasonable price and we scheduled the appointment for 10 am the next morning. 10 am in the morning the next day, he showed as promised, got right to work and left all of the connections cleanly installed, I mean we even improvised on 3 outlets, one that needed to come down to lower location, another one that had to be ended and another one that needed to be properly wired for dishwasher use. Guess what, he got it done and didn't mention up price, nothing just got it done as part of the original quote. We were finally done after a good while and since I am still working on the kitchen, he even left me some additional pieces needed for me to complete the job once I got to it. He was beyond exceptional and thoughtful for doing that. A couple of days later, I knew one of the gang boxes was old, brittled and crowded so I decided to upgrade the box. well I did all the work and suddenly while using the dishwasher the power to it went out. I texted him and he reminded me to do some troubleshooting on my own and unfortunately it didn't fix the issue, so what does he do next, he comes down same day to troubleshoot the issue for me (ON A SUNDAY) and he charged me nothing for the fix... Honestly, workmanship like that is hard to come around nowadays. I was left impressed by his work he did at my house, but more than that, I've been left speechless by his generosity. In a world where everything just equates to money, interacting with Ken and his workmanship, was really a breath of fresh air for me during this process. I am beyond grateful for you Ken! With a 1 year old who just recently picked up a new hobby of playing with the light switch, I had to make sure the problem gets resolved quickly. I had three switches that need to be repaired One need to be replaced, the other two need to be reattached to the wall, they came on done for some reason.. Owner came out, service was outstanding! Old-school reliability, professionalism, personality and friendliness. I also needed his advice on circuit breaker panel and power outage because of appliances. I explain the situation and he gave me what seems to be a very easy and cost-effective fix to the problem. Another electrician suggested upgrading the whole old style panel. Which in theory is a fix, And probably a better one in the long run - but a way more expensive one. So this company is great, and I suggest you use them. I will use them from now on. read more

Yesterday, our AC and stove went out, so we tried to reset the breaker that the thermostat and stove run on, but they would not reset. We had a panel upgrade installed last November, so initially, we had called the company that installed it. They told us a breaker issue was not covered by our one year warranty, the service visit would cost between $700-$1000, and they didn't have availability until late in the week. Considering we could not wait that long for the stove, we decided to shop around for quotes. After sending a few quote requests out on Yelp and not hearing back, I decided to call a few places and I am so glad I did! I was able to reach Ken directly, which was really opportune, considering it was a Sunday. He was on a job, but headed over very promptly and was extremely thorough. First he checked the breaker box and assessed it was probably a short, then went room by room to determine where the short was coming from. Along the way, he fixed an outlet we thought would never work again. He was able to find the short and our house was up and running better than it was before our issue! God forbid we have future electrical issues, but if we do, we will definitely be calling him again. Overall, Ken was professional, informative, and a very fair business man. I try to troubleshoot a outlet from a overloading it. During that time I accidentally cross the wires and cause the whole house to lose power. This happened late at night at 9:30pm, it was too late for call anyone by that time. I found Ken on yelp and since it did say 24/7. I gave him a call at 6:45am, surprisingly he personally pick and was available to come out that moment. Ken was thorough and troubleshoot everything, went through the whole electrical box and my solar system. So in the end he found out the inverter protector inside tripped and switch it back and restarted the system by powering it down. He was so knowledgeable and experience with the lay out of my solar system. He friendly, personable, and helpful answers any questions I had. Met with Ken on 12/07/20. We had a lengthy chat about the job, (a few exterior lights, some smart switches and some garage lighting). He seemed very nice and knowledgeable. Ken said that he'd try to get something (a price) over to us that evening... Didn't get one. The following day, I messaged him again with more information and to see about that price... Again he said that he'd get something over to us asap... As of December 20th (13 days later) I'm still waiting... Disappointing. Others explained to me what they needed to do to get the hottub up and running again after moving it to the other side of the yard. They said it was not safe to use the cut wires and needed to rewire everything. Ken came and said, sure we can use the same wires, and make it water proof and make it safer than it was before.
