I've been taking my pets to Krum Veterinary Hospital for over a decade. They are so great that I now make a 10-mile drive all the way there after moving to a nearby city - it is worth the trip. I tried other local vets but the overall experience at Krum Vet is always better. I like that they are very down-to-earth and take the time to talk through every aspect of the situation. They are also very good about following-up with you to see how things are going. They even delivered some medication to my residence after a mix-up when I visited the office that day. Something to note = they just moved to a new building a few blocks from the previous location and it is a great facility. We often board our dog with Krum Vet and they gave me a tour of their new boarding area and it is great. They have several sizes of kennels and they now have a fenced in grass area that seems very secure and relaxing for the pets. Dr. Lee had seen my dog, Miles, about a year ago because he had ear infections. $900 later, he was good to go. Fast forward to April 29 of this year, he passed away. We aren't sure why, but I knew I wanted him cremated. Because it was a Saturday, we wrapped him up and kept him in a cooler until first thing Monday morning when we could drop him off. I wanted the private cremation, so I could keep his ashes. I paid $325 for this service. 3 weeks go by, and I hadn't heard a word from the vet. I decided to call and check. Whoever answered said she would call the cremation service and check. She called me back quickly and said she wasn't sure what happened- but Miles was STILL SITTING AT THIER OFFICE even though according to her, "they do pick ups and drop offs weekly." Tell me how my 100 lb dog got forgotten for THREE WEEKS and nobody noticed until I called in? I will never again recommend the Krum Vet to anyone who loves their animals as much as I do. read more

If I could give Zero stars I would. Absolute worst animal clinic I've ever dealt with. Completely unorganized. Front desk staff are incompetent. Left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. Tried to recommend completely unnecessary and expensive sedation for my poor cat. Would NEVER trust them with the safety of any animal. I can see how mistakes are made there!!! read more

First off this has got to be the most expensive vet in Denton county. They add to that by heavily pressuring you to add on unnecessary services to nickel and dime you to death. I took my pet in because she had been attacked by a large dog and had a large sore on her back. They convinced me to do the laser treatment (basically just a UV light). They said it would be a five minute treatment, at $25 a treatment, 5 plus times. I asked to watch the first treatment, all they did was wave around a red light really fast over the wound, skin around it, and fur for a total of 2 and a half minutes (I timed the session) then sent her home. $25 bucks for that! I canceled the rest of the "treatments" and just put her in direct sunlight for 15 minutes a day & she healed up quickly. Plus the sun is free. That wasn't the only time they've tried to add on unnecessary things to my bill. When I decided to go to another vet and asked for medical records and told them why I was leaving the vet got very belligerent and pointed out that "I just did a low cost shot clinic!" I left because I didn't want to get into it but couldn't help but wonder what those clinics she does had to do with my concerns. Anyway, Paws and Claws Veterinary Clinic in Sanger (302 Acker St.) is a better alternative, they have been awesome. They are very kind and managed to catch a very serious genetic disease in my puppy the first time I took her in that Krum veterinarian hospital missed despite taking my puppy in several times. read more

I have worked for Veterinarians in different states, and have extensive experience with showing and breeding cats. Dr. Joy Isbell has been my Veterinarian of choice for many years. I drive about 20 miles to her clinic and pass many Vet hospitals to get there. Dr. Isbell is progressive, compassionate and professional. She has a great staff and I know my pets are in good hands when they are at the hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Isbell if you are looking for top quality care for your pet. Krum Vet also just opened a new boarding facility that is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Well worth the drive to Krum when you really care about your animals. read more

I had decided to see Dr. Lee because I have been a Krum resident over 30 years. Dr. Lee had to be the most unprofessional veterinarian that I have ever taken my pets to. Not only disrespectful to me as a customer but completely out of line while we were there. She informed me that I needed to find a new vet for my dane because obviously I do not care for my pets. Actually, I would see it the other way around since I was taking my dog in to see a "trained veterinarian". Along with the treatment from Dr. Lee, her front office staff was just as rude and the tech seemed terrified of my gentle giant. My dane was getting agitated due to Dr. Lee yelling at me in the room. I will never go back to that vet and I will discourage anyone else that may choose to check them out. Not to mention, there prices are outrageous!!!!! read more

Our canines have been patrons of Dr. Ennis-Lee and staff's Krum Veterinary Hospital since December 2013. We brought our 3 Texas born and bred cocker spaniel mixes to be groomed, vaccinated, teeth cleaned, and treated through their good times and end games. It is never easy to tell owners that their pets have cancer and discuss the options. For us and our last little girl, it was more than one MAST cell surgery because she never knew she had cancer. It was do the surgery and see if she got more vibrant days or not. It was always a choice to delay the inevitable with the least trying method. Should she not have come back bow wowing for more kisses, more doggie dances, more demando dog "hurry up with my dinner" yodels, we would have helped her make that trip over the Rainbow Bridge. She chose to wake up every morning raring for life, traveling, and enjoying her pack. Dr. Lee and her staff get ever better and more compassionate. You get what you pay for in doggie dividends, and we know personally two other families whose canines owe their very lives to Dr. Lee under very traumatic circumstances where her skill made the difference. You make your choices cognizant of what you believe is best for your pet. We have adopted two new doggies recently and they are Krum Vet patrons already. They look (semi) forward to sniffing out the new digs. read more

Even though I live in Denton now, I continue to take my dog Phoebe to Krum Vet. Dr. Lee and the entire staff are very professional and knowledgeable. It takes a lot for Phoebe to gain someone's trust and they have hers. I like that I get an estimate of what something is going to cost before I agree to the service and Dr. Lee offered a two-week recheck (at no charge) for Phoebe after surgery. I have tried other vets closer to my current address in the last couple of years, but returned to Krum Vet because of the quality of service. read more

I'd give it zero stars except for the fact that the emergency surgery they performed was successful. That doesn't make up for the excessive charges, the horrible customer service, the tacit dismissal of my knowledge of and experience with my own cat, and their failure to just listen to me. In addition, they advertise as and are named a veterinary hospital, but they are not. They cannot keep your pet overnight or over the weekend. They go home. If you need follow up care after hours, you have to go elsewhere. Even during business hours, they kept me waiting outside for 10 minutes in 90 degree heat WITH NO OTHER CUSTOMERS THERE before they came out to get my cat. If you have a cat, go elsewhere. They are dog people. Every single time anybody from this office talked to me, they kept referring to my cat as a dog or puppy. $1,000 later, my cat is alive and well but I could have achieved this same result for half the price and much better customer service if it had not been an emergency and my regular vet hadn't been closed. read more

We have lived in Krum for 13 years and had been driving 15 miles to see a vet for our four dogs. It was not an easy decision to switch to vets and start taking our babies to the Krum Veterinary Hospital last year, but we are so pleased with our decision! From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the receptiionists, you can tell your pets will be well taken care. You will be greeted with a smile and warm welcome. I had to take my 11 year old dachsaund in and what could have ended with a tail amputation and would probably have been the easiest thing to do, Dr. Lee did everything she could to prevent the amputation. My little Dixi recovered, tail intact, Dr. Lee and her staff were so patient and answered all of my questions before and after the procedure. I just this week had to take my 14 year old terrier mix in to have 2 tumors removed. Once again, Dr, Lee explained everything so patiently. Her staff was so sweet when I dropped him off. I was a little nervous but they reassured me and told me I could call and they would check on him for me. They took such good care of my sweet boy! read more

After speaking with Dr. Joy and meeting with Dr. Jennifer Ennis Lee about the continued care of my pets I decided to stay on as a client after the sale of Krum Veterinary Hospital to Dr. Lee. I can tell you that I have not been disappointed with the care of my pets and have always had a positive experience with both Dr. Lee and her staff. I have two geriatric dogs and two cats. They have a variety of health issues. The dogs require continue care, prescription medications, and special food. Dr. Lee and her staff have given, and always give, exceptional and compassionate patient care. As prices continue to increase in the pharmaceutical and medical establishment, Dr. Lee will go out of her way to find you less expensive alternatives and comparable medications, if available. There has never been a time when I have left feeling like enough had not been done to help my pets continue a happy and enjoyable life. Dr. Lee and her staff take patient care very seriously. If for some reason your pet needs a special surgery or critical care they cannot provide, they will go out of their way to find you that perfect veterinarian specialist or veterinarian facility that can assist you and your pet. She is experienced and will personalize the groom for you if you request it. I have older pets with dry dull coats and every time I take them to be bathed and groomed they always come back to me with looking sharp, bright, shiny and smooth. The kennel staff are kind and responsive to the individual needs of the pets they care for. They pay attention to your pet's cleanliness, medical needs, appearance and happiness. With the close supervision of Dr. Lee, they do their very best to see that your pet has a safe, happy, and healthy stay. The online pharmacy is comparable to other online pharmacies and in some cases even less.
