More like a 2.5. We were in the area and looking for some quick dinner on the way through. The food…read morewas made quickly and within the time we were promised over the phone. It was also hot when we took it back to our hotel to eat it. Quality of ingredients was actually decent. Nothing tasted off or bad or anything. What makes this a less than ideal experience is that this was probably the blandest Thai food I've eaten in my life. The fried tofu was fine. The pineapple fried rice was super monotone with a mild flavour of generic yellow curry. The pad thai almost tasted like nothing. Between the blandness, portion size, and price, I'd be hard pressed to recommend this place.

We're regular customers at Krua Khun Rose and have eaten practically every dish on the menu, so…read morewe've definitely developed our favorites! Their lunch specials are terrific -- served with jasmine white rice and a small salad with peanut dressing -- and are an outstanding value. The dinner menu runs the gamut from appetizers and soups to curries, fried rice and noodle dishes, with plenty of choices. Our absolute go-to favorites are the Thai Chicken Wings, Fried Shrimp Rolls, Pad Thai, Pad Thai Voonsen, Cashew Nut and Mango Fried Rice. Everything is freshly prepared and can be tailored to your liking. You can even change up your favorite dish with shrimp, scallops, calamari or mixed seafood. Who does that?! What keeps us coming back is the consistency. The food is always fresh and delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are very wallet-friendly. After trying practically everything on the menu, Krua Khun Rose remains one of our favorite local spots for Thai food. Definitely worth a try -- and don't overlook those lunch specials!

This is a beautiful shop. They have a really peaceful vibe and the girl at the counter (sorry I…read moreforgot your name) really knows the menu well; not just what the dish is made of but what really makes it different on the levels that matter, which for my mom is which noodles are rice, which have gluten, which do what in the where and I have no idea but I waited for her to get through the whole thing and we got our food. I had the Tom Kar soup and honestly it was mainly just mushrooms and broth with a couple shrimp, it's a very simple soup which O always loved, but this one just isn't as good as Krua Thai. The stir fry noodle dish is a good portion of a little light on chicken, but the way things are in 2026 who can blame the business for doing what they need to do to survive. I want to support the small shops in these hard times when I can. The spring rolls were the best part in my opinion, very light and crispy. I could honestly eat anything on a Thai menu and I'd probably love it, but the one thing that was a bit stressful is the shop refuses to print menus to look at and wants everyone to go online. They just have one small menu on the counter and my mother is 70 years old, she is too cool to carry an iphone around and the print is too small for her to read. They seem to have a bit of a take it or leave it attitude about the whole thing. Listen, some people aren't online all day, not everyone carries a 'smart'phone, and some people can't read that tiny print. If you're only going to display one menu, make it big enough for the oldies to read it. You're on Cape Cod, the biggest nursing home in the USA. You gotta cater to the oldies. Otherwise I hope they have a great summer.

It was just before the end of the lunch service which, for reference, ends at 3:00pm (it was definitely a late lunch!). Then they shutdown to prep for dinner service. For starters I had the Tom Yum Kung soup. It was very good and you can probably ask for amped up spice if that is your thing (this is what I usually do). I had the lunch size Crispy Pork which was very good. One of my kids had the Mee Siam and she raved about it. My other had a lighter course and with the Chicken Satay which was also very good. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. I am glad this place is just down the street as I will certainly dine here again.

5 stars isn't enough. After a long drive with two littles in the car, traveling from Providencetown…read moreto New Hampshire, we (wife and I) were craving Thai food since our home in Bangor doesn't have much options. Found this place from yelp and liked the rating, distance from freeway and the old diner look. As we entered, we were greeted by the nicest gentleman who resembled any loving and caring grandfather( not saying he's old). Both of my kids felt comfortable as soon as we walked in. This place had the vibe of a 50's diner and had a sweet "TukTuk" sitting in the corner. Naturally my son was drawn to sit in it. On the counter next to this was a basket of small kid toys, again my son was drawn to this. As my son picked out a toy and attempted to "sneak" it back to our table, the gentleman saw how koy my son was being and the cutest interaction happened. Being that we haven't had good Thai food in too long, we bought way too much. Pad Se Ew w/chicken Green Curry w/tofu Papaya salad Fresh rolls 3 orders of sticky rice Khao soi And because my son is a picky eater, they agreed to just cook him some shrimp. 108 bucks for this feast. Not bad. Papaya salad was fresh and citrusy, Fresh rolls were fantastic with the dipping sauce and peanut sauce, Pad Se Ew was fantastic Green curry was thick, rich and very flavorful Sticky rice was perfect Shrimp did the trick. The Khao Soi was PHENOMENAL!!!!!! Spicy, rich broth, crispy wontons, plenty of noodles. Hands down, best I've had. I would travel back from Bangor just for this. Throughout our meal, the owner sat down and we had great conversation. I can tell that it's mostly locals who order in and to go. He was very pleasant to talk with. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and 5 stars doesn't do it justice. Thank you for this amazing meal.
