By far, the most responsive and professional service I've ever had from a contractor (of any kind) has been the methodical work from Krohn Kurtz! Ryan (the boss) is an excellent communicator and does what he says he'll do. I had his detailed written quote with photos within 2 hours of visiting my property. There are fewer occasions when working with a contractor you find the quality and high level of professional work so well. I recently had two large oak trees removed. Both were situated next to a power lines and adjacent home. The skill and teamwork they displayed was remarkable. Operating a two high lifts and a ground crew that instinctively knew what had to be done as the job pressed forward. This was no easy job but their approach and skill was remarkable. I really wanted to leave a positive review. However, this team is not who you want to hire. We just recently purchased a home in this state with an incredibly large tree that was getting up there in age. I hired Kron Kutz to take the tree down, three options were provided on the invoice. I accepted the highest amount expecting everything to be removed and the tree to be completely gone, as stated on the invoice. First problem, the stump wasn't ground down and now we have about 6 inches sticking out above our lawn level. My bad I suppose, when I'm told everything is included, I suppose I should have asked that. Next problem, my neighbor, pulls me aside and tells me; "Now that the warm weather is coming, I need you to take care of all the mess your tree guys left." Low and behold, I walk behind this old fence that is on our property line, and sure as tomorrow, there is copious amounts of brush, sawdust, and chunks of limbs. We contacted Ryan to discuss what was going on, and have been ghosted. My husband is a disabled veteran and I work 70+ hours a week, we don't have the time to take care of this which is why I tried to entrust a company with what seemed do be decent reviews .... I can not even begin to describe how disappointed I am, a waste of a significant amount of money and now additional work. read more

I CANNOT recommend this company enough. Ryan was only one of three people (out of 12 companies I called) that actually came out to my client's house when they said they would. Out of the three- Ryan offered outstanding value for his service. He literally came in at half the price others were asking. He is fantastic at keeping in communication and answers everything within minutes via text. There is something to be said about this level of service. You just don't see it anymore and it truly is an art. After I started my job with the solar company I began sharing his number with my co-workers since we need to have our own tree guys on hand. He's not employed by our solar company but he sure is helping us out big time. I hope to give him more clients in the future! P.S.- I decided to use this company for my own tree work. His prices were so good that we decided we could actually afford to have more trees and bushes cut than we thought! I live in MA in Worcester County, btw. He definitely travels. I was completely satisfied with Krohn Kurtz. I called to have a very tall pine dropped in my backyard. I left a message and Ryan promptly got back to me to set up a time to give me an estimate. I rarely write a YELP review. KROHN KUTZ is hands down the finest tree service anywhere in this area! We have used them 3 times now and they just keep getting better and better. Their equipment alone is AMAZING! and they leave not a speck of mess. When they are gone, you'll never even know they were there! We have owned our home for over 45 years and have lots of woods surrounding us. We have used several other tree services for fallen trees, tree trimming, etc. and NOBODY has provided us with this level of customer service!
