Kroger bacon has a sign that says SALE 5.00 3lb package at 14.99 I checked the weight on the package to get the right one and check the expiry date so I grabbed 4. When I got to my car, I checked my receipt to ensure I got all my discounts. The bacon was 14.99 no discount was given. I go back in and the guy at the counter say the sign says 5.00 per pound. What? I looked at the picture of the sign and it says 5.00. lb 3lbs at 14.99. See photo. I told him that was trickery and I dint want to do business with a company that operates like that. read more

Rude and indifferent employees. Scan in store discounts that never work. Yes, I have the Kroger app on my phone. No wonder people in Midlothian drive to Waxahachie or Mansfield to shop at HEB. The only bright spot in this store is the pharmacy. The head pharmacist, Jason, and his staff are awesome. From now on I'll do my grocery shopping at Brookshire's. At least the staff there are friendly and helpful. read more

This store is trash. The manager should be fired immediately. The meat market is the saddest I've ever seen. Never any employees to help and when there is they are jerks, don't speak, don't change gloves when getting different meats, they shut down early, and the selection is worse than Walmart. If you need a plastic carry basket for a few items you'll have to go through the exit and get one from the self check out because nobody moves them to the spot at the front door where they should be. The employees wear headphones so that they can talk on the phone or listen to music while working. God forbid you ask them anything. Take it from me, make the drive to HEB. The store manager is never available to meet with you. The employees are the absolute laziest I've ever seen. This is a sad excuse for a grocery store. I've shopped at Kroger all of my life and the Midlothian Kroger is 100% the most poorly managed store I've ever been to. What a shame. Can't wait until we get some alternatives out here. What a terrible experience today and bad experience the last few times! No carts and was told to go outside and get one!! Then clogging up aisles with inventory put away and would not move!! I love Kroger Marketplace! So much to look at and chose from. They have a great variety of florals, wines, produce, kitchenware and appliances, clothes and more! Convenient location right off of HWY 287 but very busy and growing over there. Large parking area and all the times I have been there lots of helpful staff. They don't have as many open check out lines as other places but it didn't take us long to check out and get going. read more

Typically we have a great experience when shopping at a Kroger, but this location is just horrific! Poor stocking, check-out is slow, and if we do self' check-out it's so frustrating because the darn system seems to think we're stealing. The ladies' restrooms are deplorable. Tho signs attempt to make one believe Kroger is monitoring the situation. I actually watched a Kroger janitorial/employee finish and when I walked in there was trash all over the floor and two of the three stalls were disgusting! Don't attempt to use the pharmacy drive-through...the lack of traffic management for the grocery pickup and pharmacy will force you to wait close to 30 minutes - even though there is no wait at the pharmacy windows! I understand these are challenging times, but other Kroger locations and competitors are doing better! Kroger is making it awfully difficult to remain a customer!! read more

Good morning! Stopped in early Sunday, January 16th to gather a few items. The store was clean, many workers stocking shelves, gentleman vacuuming entrance mats, and a nice variety of items of which to choose from. I took one star off as I went through the self-check out at 6:30am. One of my items wasn't scanning, so I pressed the attendant button. There was a lady sitting on the bench of whom I thought was a regular customer as she was sitting with a large brown/tan coat and pink beanie. When I pressed the 'call attendant' button for my item that was not scanning, this woman emerged from her bench seat exclaiming loudly, "Doesn't surprise me!" Hmm. She walks up to me, grabs my item and proceeds to press numbers into the touch screen. Oh. She works here? No name badge. As she hastily entered numbers in, she puts the item down and walk away. I say, "Thank you. What's your name?" She coughs into my face and says her name is Cindy. I say, "Thanks for your help this morning, Cindy!" and she proceeds to keep wet coughing loudly until her gloves. Firstly, grocery store workers are on the front lines for germs as much if not more than hospital workers. I respect our grocery employees very much. However, "Cindy" is an adult and knows she's cold by the layers she is wearing and gloves she is coughing into loudly. I hope she knows to call in sick and hope that her place of business will be understanding. After all, it is 30 degrees outside this morning. When someone works in customer service, and their ability is impaired (Cindy was rude 'Doesn't surprise me!' and sick :coughing everywhere and in my face as she told me her name:) then please, by all means, stay home and recover. I did not want to write this review but feel like at this point I have no other choice. After being told that my pick up order was going to be at delayed least 2 hour , I understood and said that I would come the following morning. When told that they were unable to fill 10 of the items I ordered, I understood that too. Times are tough and I choose to be patient with that. But, when I received a yogurt that was expired by 1 and a half months( July 9, 2021) I lost patience. I have received and also, noticed in store that there seems to be waaay more expired items on the shelf or in my pick up order than there should be. One or two times is a fluke, more than that is just bad management. Come on KROGER company, You are better than this!!!! read more

I don't think this store realizes we are in a pandemic. No one is cleaning carts (I confirmed with the people who bring in the carts), the wipes at the entrance are almost dry, zero cleaning going on in the store, no social distancing, many are not wearing the state mandated mask, no hand sanitizer anywhere and no one is wiping down the self checkout stations after each use. As much as I hate Walmart, I feel safer there than at this Kroger. I am not sure if this is Kroger wide or just this particular location but they have lost me as a customer. I can't patronize a store that doesn't care about my well being. read more

This place is a complete joke. Every time I have to deal with the meat department I always come away with a bad experience. They have zero people skills. God forbid you have to ask them a question, and if you do they have a way of letting you know what a bother it is to stop them from their busy schedule. Kroger as a whole is just ok. Kroger and Instacart together...better hope you never have an issue. 14 days ago I placed an order that never arrived. The Instacart guy called and was lost, I offered to help him with directions or whatever he might need, and he said, "No, I'll be there in a few minutes." He never showed up. I called Instacart and they said I would receive a refund; but they couldn't replace my order so I would have to order again. I did and everything was fine. 14 days (10 business days) later, no refund. I called Instacart because that's who I called before. After being transferred 4 times, and being on the phone going on 45 minutes now--I'm still on hold--I still don't know when I will get my $60 back. I've been on the phone with both Intsacart and now Kroger. Looks like I have to start doing my own shopping again. :( read more

I haven't used pick up service, but the delivery folks have been excellent. They keep me informed by text before, during and after their shopping. If something isn't available they send a photo or description of a suggested alternative. Always Courteous and prompt. Well worth my 17-20% tip. Just like in a restaurant. Best deal is the website's flat one time charge for delivery for a year. read more

Kroger's is like the super of grocery stores! From Starbucks, deli, food court, bakery, gourmet meats and cheeses... wait I'm not done. Clothing for the family! Even shoes!!! I mean nice brand shoes. They have a pretty good selection of everything from kitchenware and electrical appliances. I only wish the Starbucks opened at 6am and they carried BEAN SPROUTS! So in the mean time I'll have to go to Starbucks by Walmart and Berkshire for my bean sprouts! read more

The manager, Tiana, from curbside pickup is rude! She argued about a coupon that she knew nothing about and tried to change her story when called out. When asked her name to speak to a manager she spelled it out and would interrupt me by stating, "like I said.....". No customer service skills whatsoever! Large Kroger, great prices, same as other smaller older Kroger's. They also sell clothing and home goods. Lots of healthy options (non dairy, gluten free, organic etc). Bulk bins, Starbucks, friendly staff. Opened since Nov 2017, but still looks brand new. read more

The cashier either made a honest mistake or intentionally stole from my mother, however, the manager was too lazy to resolve the situation. Instead as a customer I had to complete a police report against the cashier. The store should reconsider their management choices and perhaps have a standard process to count down a register if there are cash issues at that time. The manager never appeared even with two police officers at the location. *Update today other managers and district managers resolved the issue. They all were extremely nice and a better representation of Kroger than the individual night manager. read more

I wish zero was a choice. The lady at the self check out was too busy talking to another worker to help with age verification for a medication for my child. After the fact of waiting 10 plus minutes she noticed finally me trying to get her attention and came over. Then the pharmacy is just the slowest rudest people I've ever met. I really love this Kroger and consider it a 5 but some recent changes are unfortunate and make it a 4. The store is amazingly clean and well stock. You can find practically anything you want (bucatini, for example in pasta). They have a fabulous wine and beer selection along with a great seafood counter. Their meats are awesome and you can always find something on sale. If you do shop the sales and use the Kroger app you can save even more than the discount stores. The unfortunate changes mentioned earlier is that their checkouts have steadily gone from a full checker / bagger to self-serve. This is very frustrating when you have a cart full and the full serve lines are 3-4 deep. When the store first opened they had numerous full service lines with checkers who literally told me once "you're the customer, let me take care of this." There are few people that are giddy at bagging their own groceries and self serve is becoming the norm. The other change is the 'pick up shopping' employees in the store. It is not that they are there it is that they have these massive carts that usually block the aisle. I do recommend this store above all others in the area and wish they would stay focused on customer service rather than self service. read more

The starbucks in kroger is the only starbucks I go to anymore. Zane and skyler are super friendly and very kind they are willing to go above and beyond what is asked to ensure that my trip there is amazing. I went in late at night (around 11:30) and they close at 1am. I hadn't been grocery shopping in weeks because I didn't have the time so I finally got the opportunity to go shopping and I had a cart FULL of groceries. Spent over $300 on groceries and saved a ton using the Kroger app and attaching coupons to my number. Anyway, when I got ready to check out only self-check lanes were open (which is totally understandable that close to closing time), but before I could even get into the self check area with my full cart of groceries, an employee named Charlotte (BLESS HER!) walked up to me and said "I'll get you on lane 5" AWESOME I don't have to check out this whole cart at the self check! Charlotte was so polite and understanding when I apologized about the amount of groceries I had and how close to closing time it was (around 12:30 at this point!). She was very sweet the entire time and I couldn't believe how quickly she got me checked out and started loading another basket for me while I was still unloading mine onto the belt. It took a total of maybe 5mins from me unloading to me walking out the door. I was unbelievably impressed with her customer service and how quickly she got me out of there! If Walmart had employees like that I would still shop there! Not to mention how much money I saved using the Kroger app and all the fuel points I earned to use on gas! terrible curb side service! I realize it's a tough time but they should not offer a service they can't provide. The manager even called it a "train wreck" yet they continue to overcommit themselves. My mother placed her small order on Monday with a pick up day of Saturday. Kroger called Saturday and delayed the order to Sunday or Monday. Monday we checked the status of her order it was canceled by Kroger on Sunday. It took several phone calls and waiting on hold to learn this. Kroger could not resubmit the order and did not offer to try to fulfill her order quickly as a courtesy. Even though her payment was still pending with the store. My mother was offered an apology and was told she could try again with them or order through instacart if she was unable to come in the store. The manager said these random cancellations have happened several times over the weekend and I suspected that they were not accidents. He did not disagree with me. read more

So after going to this store about 50 times I have some complaints. The produce is terrible. Iceberg lettuce is half browned every single time I go to get some. I am comparing to Brookshire's since that's all we had for decent produce before Kroger. Brookshire's produce is beautiful & very well maintained.There are NEVER EVER enough sackers at this Kroger & I don't know why. The very few checkers they have always have to sack. I mentioned this to a checker today & she said "don't get me started" There's a lady that's BLUE who works in the deli. Very strange & she's very hairy with a mustache. Kinda makes me uneasy asking her for anything....The meat dept reeks of fish & it's hot as hell in the store. I'm not irritated enough to not shop there but knowing I have to go there gets me a little worked up every time. Apparently the management sucks or these issues would not exist.
