You can walk right in front of Greg,staring right eye to eye with him and not one word!!! I have shopped here for 20 years and they never have stuff any more. Propane out for 4 or more days !! This is a typical newer style Brookshire's to be sure, but it has some certain advantages over others. In my opinion, the location here is more convenient than the local Wal Mart or Family Dollar. Parking is ample, and they have a gas station, which is a definite plus if you are going to collect on those points! The price points are a bit more than Wal Mart, as would be expected, but if you coupon or deal hunt, you will emerge better off. What impressed me most is that this store stocks spirit gear from the local schools - socks, t-shirts, banners and the like. It says a lot about the level of community involvement, in the best ways. Lastly, the staff is quite friendly. Never pushy, but present. Can't beat that! read more

We've shopped here a couple of times. It was neat, clean and everything was well displayed. The vegetables were fresh and there was a nice selection at the bakery. We got everything we came for plus a few new items to try. The prices seemed a bit higher but it was a very pleasant shopping experience compared to the crowded HEB. The discount on gas correlating to the groceries we bought amounted to about 30¢ discount per gallon...which was very nice. The employees were very friendly to add to a good experience! read more

This is my favorite grocery store. It's beautiful and clean. Always well stocked. The employees are kind and helpful. The prices are competitive, especially if you follow the weekly specials. (I love the 'buy one get one for a penny'.)There are enough registers open to ensure a prompt check out. There are a few extra perks that you won't find at Walmart, like popsicles that are already frozen and gourmet cheeses in the deli as well as excellent steaks cut to your liking. Shopping here is a recreational activity. read more

I enjoy shopping at this store for several reasons. The prices are good, the sales offers are good, I can shop online, they carry all my favorite brands, and I absolutely love they have someone to carry out my groceries and put them in my car. It always feels like you are valued and appreciated. My hometown feeling. Something big box stores don't offer. I highly recommend this store. read more

As my beloved aunt would say "too high". Their prices aren't competitive with the nearby "Krogers". The staff is friendly and pharmacy has cool wheels system. The front entrance smelled a bit strange to me, it reminded me of Mickey D's playground. read more

I can easily find the essentials here, and the baggers will walk you out to your car and load your groceries for you. Folks are friendly and will help you find what you need. Their produce does seem to spoil much quicker as compared to other bigger grocery chains. It's almost as if it's organic. So unless you plan to eat the fruits and veggies very quickly I would recommend getting these items at a larger chain. I tend to stick to a bigger chain for perishable items (unless absolutely necessary), and will use this store for all the non-perishables and emergencies. By the way, their deli is to die for. I'm addicted to their sourdough bread they make, and will usually pick up 2 loaves at a time. read more

We stopped at Brookshires Midlothian. Whitley 16 year old wanted to use her money $100 that she made by helping her aunt tear up carpet and tac strip to purchase and make dinner tonight. There is a person that works there that makes her feel very uncomfortable so she chose to send her sister (whom is very responsible) to pick up the groceries. When she pulled her phone out to call because she couldn't find an item the $100 bill fell out of her pocket without her knowing. Whitley went in to the store and Jose the manager said to her I'm sorry to laugh .... that's not a reason to laugh. This is a kid that worked very hard for her money and now it's gone. I'm feeling very frustrated. read more

Cons: The variety is on the small side, and the price on the high side. Pros: EXTREMELY clean, very high quality product, and a hot deli that will make your mouth water. It is family owned, and it shows in their customer service. Very friendly, and they will walk you to your car and help with the bags. read more

Brookshire's is extremely clean but not your typical, large supermarket. There is a very small organic section which is a disappointment for me, however the Bakery and Deli are decently sized. The service is absolutely "top notch" and cannot be compared to by other grocery stores. The only real issue I have with Brookshire's is their prices. To say they're astronomical, would be a drastic understatement. read more

We went to the store with a $100 Brookshire gift card. My wife, myself, and 5 year old shopped for a whole hour and were refused at the check out counter. Prior to entering we called to confirm the card was active and had $$. The card would not scan at the register. When we asked for a manager the clerk said HE WAS THE MANAGER. We explained to him there must be way for him to enter the card manually but he said it's impossible. We had to leave embarrassed. After calling the 1800 number again, we were told the store can resolve it. We had to go back in, find the REAL MANAGER, Chris, who was able to resolve the issue. If the first CLERK would've just got the REAL manager this post would not be here. I'm glad I spent all of the gift card as I will not be going there again! read more

Probably the finest grocery store in town. They also sell blenders and other misc appliances. If you have a cart they will escort you out from what I understand. We were always shopping light. Great parking lot. read more

It's not the biggest place around, but the employee attitude more than makes up for it. There's a good variety of products, so although they may not have the boutique or niche brand you are looking for, they have what you need. The prices, when compared directly with their competitors, are surprisingly competitive. Good prices, great service. What else do you want? read more

This is the only grocery store in town, except for Walmart, and I believe the food is better at Walmart. The vegatables are never fresh and spoil shortly after buying them. They seem to have one-price shopping no matter what you're buying. $3.99! $4.99! Can't fault the people who work there. Always helpful and friendly. I think they should rethink where they buy their perishables. read more

You have to watch what you buy when you do the "buy 1 get 1 for a penny" deal. They mark up their items double price, which makes it the same price it was before. The staff isn't the nicest unless you roll up in a Mercedes and obviously have money. read more

I have purchased expired food from this store one to many times and today was the last straw!!!! I go to Brookshire's ONLY for small emergency trips and simply because it is much closer to my house than Walmart, but I will NEVER be going back there again!!! Today I purchased a 4 pack of orange Frostie soda from Brookshire's, a couple of hours after I got home my son got one out of the refrigerator and started drinking it. He got about half way finished with the soda when he noticed, what appeared to be some kind of insect feces, floating around in the bottle, a lot of it!!!!! He began gagging and went to the bathroom and threw up. I gathered up the 3 remaining bottles out of the refrigerator to inspect them and sure enough there was again what appears to be insect feces floating around in every single one of them!!!! I will be in their management office in the morning, right after I call my son's doctor!!! read more
