In the back the frozen goods are on display along with the deli products, & so on. Then, there's also a bulk candy section, bulk coffee, bulk pasta section where we could actually weigh in on the amount of food purchased and conduct our best price for what we want. I'm so glad to see a Winco in Arlington! After passing by this place so many times, I finally got to visit! I found a few good things. It was a Sunday afternoon and it was busy but, not super crowded. There prices are really good and I was able to walk away with Almonds, Bacon, Granola Bars and a little something to drink. I noticed the check out lane was bag your on groceries. I love how the conveyor belt brought my groceries to the edge so, I can conveniently place them in the plastic bags. Cashier was patient and so were the customers when my card wouldn't scan. I would recommend Winco because, I like the location, prices and customer service. I will be back. I think WinCo has the best prices, or the price can be competitive with the other chain stores. I like going there. The organic section could be a little bit bigger. On July 23rd, I was shopping at Winco Arlington location, as I have done about daily. Every time I am in the store there are only 2 lanes open with grocery carts full of groceries. I decided to go on the self-check line because no one was in line and there were about 5 lanes open. I had about 5 items over, and Josh told me that it was only a 15-item limit. I said OK I will only check out 15 items. He said, "no I am calling my manager". I have shopped at Winco since they opened in my area. I am in the store just about everyday if not every other day. I have my own catering business, and I am over events at my church. Winco has lost my business from my church and my catering business. When I was a manager at a store, I would want my lanes to move, and I would direct people to open lanes. Josh was rude and unprofessional about the 5 items being over and he would not allow me to check out 15 items. I went up there to purchase 2 items but ended up putting more in my shopping cart. Winco has bad business practice and instead of getting this money because the company is employee owned, I will now spend my money elsewhere. I just had a family reunion and spent my money on ribs, brisket, sausage and much more but hey Winco you missed out because Josh decided to call for a manager and not allow me to check out 15 items. But, Winco has ridiculous business practice. I have not yet heard from Winco so I decided to post on this platform. I don't visit Winco often, but I'm now seeing we have one in NRH, I'm sure I will frequent them more often. I stopped by before the Winter storm and I must say, I was impressed by the fact they were fully stocked. The few times I've visited, the store was always clean and very organized. Cheap and clean. They really have some great deals and lots of stuff in bulk. Watch for some that's not really on sale but for the most part it's a great affordable place to shop. However.... They don't take credit cards so don't fill up a basket and spend a hour shopping before you find out. Didn't see a sign anywhere. Yep it happened to me once. I have only been in a couple of times, but I see the appeal. It has that warehouse feel that makes you just think "sales". I would say their bread and butter is bulk items and shelf stable products. They have EVERY flavor Doritos. Even the taco flavored one's! The prices on their meat and produce are good, though their selection is not as varied as to take the place of one of my regular stores. Also their personal care isle is very limited. You have to bag your own groceries, but that seems the norm for low cost shopping. Their employees seem happy and helpful, and it is a good option if you are in the area and need a staple product. Also, they are great about picking up carts from the parking lot. I was so glad when WinCo foods, put a store in North Richland Hills TX. The prices are great and the store has most everything you are looking for. The only problem I have, with WinCo foods, is the self service check out lines. When you scan a few items and bag them, then remove the items from the bagging area, the cash register will let you punch in I removed items. Removing items works great but only for a few times, and then your cash register freezes up and you have to get the attendant to come over and punch in a number to keep scanning all your other items. The locking of the register is so time consuming that it takes longer to check out yourself as I could have gone to one of the check out stands and the attendant rings up my order with no issues. This self check out would be great but you have no additional room to place your items that you have already scanned and put into bags, the only place you have to put your items is in your shopping cart , and it locks the register up until the attended comes over and puts a number in so I can finish scanning my other items. The locking of the register needs to be removed, so the customer can scan and pay and be on his or her way without all the problems checking out. G.P. North Richland Hills Texas. read more

Great store , awesome bargains. It reminds me of the California grocery chain (Food 4 Less) , has similar isle display. They have so many sales on different items. I went to buy some energy drinks and the cheapest I've ever found them. It's inexpensive and have almost everything you can think of, you don't need coupons or a membership and almost everything is on sale. I like the fact that you can buy different types of flour by the pound, they even have candies by the pound. Fruits and veggies on sale. I recieved a $10 coupon so I decided to visit the place.....the prices are great on the non pershisable foods. The meat however is another story, I looked at all of their meat and it looked weird. I bought a pack of Sanderson Farms chicken wings because I'm familiar with this brand. Everyone in my family was questioning me about the chicken. It has a weird taste and was full of fat. I ended up throwing out about 10 wings. I should have went with my first mind and stayed away from purchasing any meat. I'm in love. This is my new stomping ground. My first visit was EVERYTHING. They have so many vegan options too if you're trying to eat more plant based! All the bulk bins are fascinating... the amount of whole bean coffee you can fresh grind is captivating.. there's a machine you can use to pick a nut and make fresh nut butter!! For whatever reason, I always find myself stopping by on a Sunday Morning about 7:30am, for no particular reason, except to find a good deal. I love coming here early when it's not that crowded and you can roam around freely, and have a great selection of good to yourself. The meat department runs different special weekly, great price on eggs, and a nice touch is that they do is post signs on certain popular goods that compare the WinCo price to other grocery stores on the area. This store.. I've been driving to Crowley Rd in Fort Worth a few times a year just to shop here, and now I don't have to anymore! This store just recently opened and I got a quick glimpse at it this morning and it's just like the other ones I've been to. Very clean aisles, that are more spacious than most grocery stores, different bakery items that are nice quick and easy and also deli items you can pick up to eat for lunch or a snack that's my favorite part (sandwiches, wraps, spinach dip, party trays, pizza you can heat up, soups, salads you name it they got a piece of it that makes it super convenient). One thing is they do not accept credit cards, has to be debit. Also, you will have to bag your items yourself, but it's not a deal breaker I don't mind at all. read more

I am thrilled that Winco foods has come to Arlington! Great location within close proximity to many neighborhoods in the city and right off the expressway if one needs to make a pitstop at the grocery store! The store is clean, well stocked, and sales abound! I'm always getting the dozen eggs for $.68, and their bagels are $.28 each! There are household items as well as groceries here and a really nice wine and beer selection. The different employees I have interacted with have all been polite and helpful. The bulk food section is amazing with lots of varieties of dried rice, pasta, fruit, and more! There's even a fresh sushi section and there's also sake! There are some things that are just a bit pricier here but if you look, you'll find inexpensive brand items on the cheap. They do money orders for $.30! And of course they are open 24 hours-can't beat it. You have to bag your own groceries but that's no big deal. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Customer service is the worst in the entire metroplex. We went to buy ice and though I'm 40 years old they demanded ID we showed our passports and they didn't approve and they were just laughing at us. We were denied to speak with a manager since there was none there at the time and the supervisor was asking a cashier if he could accept passports. Seriously!!! 4 people and none could do anything. 2 days before rent is due I left my wallet in a cart at this Winco location in Arlington. I did not realize it was gone until much later in the evening. Not only was my wallet found by a cart guy named Bryce and returned, several employees also expressed their concern and willingness to help me get my things back. I was so excited to shop at winco foods because of what I heard. I was blessed to receive 5 $10 checks from a very special person to buy some groceries. As i get ready to check out with my basket full of things, I presented the check to the cashier. He then turned and asked the "store clerk" if they accepted them. She said she's not sure.
