Ok this is based on one experience this morning. I've gone to this store for a while now and for the most part I would recommend it. As a back ground a long time ago I worked in a small neighborhood market like this. So I have some based expectations on how things should be run. This is not central market so don't expect it to be full of people that are too good to speak to you. I don't even expect staff to be pleasant all the time but at least communicate with the guests. Today was the exact opposite. I walked in and both isle I needed to go down were completely full of product. I had to move carts to get to the shelfs and not one person working there apologized or offered to move things out of my way. I go to check out and the two ladies up front are to involved with their conversation to even speak to the customers. Hate to admit it but I pulled a Karen and called to speak to the manager, I got the bookkeeper because the manager was too busy. She said it was a store restock and she had seen it as well but all she could do is let the manager know what is going on. I guess I'm willing to let a few small things pass with stores like this as long as they treat the customers right. This was not that. read more

Not only is this store lacking in all grocery departments, I did a $5 cash back, removed the receipt, but had to backtrack to remember to get the $5. In a matter of 3 minutes, someone else collected the money. Kroger store manager states there was nothing he could do. Nor reimburse the money. Soooo, cameras everywhere, including more at self-checkout, but nothing they can do??!! Whaaaattt??? The senselessness & incompetence is ridiculous. read more

Despite the times I have said "Ya know what, the Neighborhood Wal-Mart is less than 2-mins away" and despite the times I have stopped in to the Kroger on Lamar, I come back here. Though I DO HAVE MY MISGIVINGS. Let me begin with my gratitudes: Location An ample health food section The staff is incredible - They are an equal opportunity employer - Those that work here really care - I have seen one employee go above and beyond here each time I go - They carry the best and newest brands, trends and items - Can't beat the hours outside of 24/7 - Kroger's home brand is a great quality - Aged, but VERY clean store - Redbox outside the left side door - very fresh flowers in the floral dept DETRACTORS: EVERY SINGLE TIME I fall in love with an item, they discontinue it - Vegan Robs Puffs - Vega Organic Vanilla Protein Powder - Different brands of Quinoa - Various produce items - Certain seafood items/brands - The restrooms are EXTREMELY aged and almost always filthy - They only do self checkout after a certain hour Overall, this is my store, and I love it. This is for the rude bakery lady who wouldn't write my moms birthday cake in Turkish cause she said I called my mom a dog! Even if I did its NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. Im the paying customer! Very inconvenient. Trying to plan a special day for my mom and her friends and she made today so much more difficult than what it was. I wish I would have got her name and reported her. This Kroger should be an embarrassment to the Kroger chain. I would never set foot in the store except for an emergency like the roads are covered with ice and it's the closest grocery store to your home. The whole store is depressing. Nothing is done neatly, you'll see things out of place all over the store. But the worst thing is their produce bins. They are literally filthy. They look like they have never been cleaned. This isn't due to being short staffed due to the pandemic. It was like that before the pandemic. I had stopped going there until I decided to try it again due to the roads being icy and I live about a mile and a half away. That was a big mistake. This place is likely a hazard to your health. read more

The only reason I give this Kroger 4 lovely stars is because I love me some Kroger, but this one I hate the aisles that are all split. Since I don't come here often it is a pain to find anything and someone whips through middle of aisles, annoying. But I do have to say they have a lot more options and choices for Gift Cards than the Kroger by me. read more

the store it self is not bad but me and my sister had a basket full of thing and there was not one cash register open we had to scan over 50 things and the self check out kept saying " don't remove the bags From the bagging area it took us a good 30 min to bag everything. everything else was good just the checking out part they need to fix!. read more

Overall a terrible Kroger location. I pass by this one a lot and have second thoughts of even doing that. Everytime I've gone is usually after 8pm. The lines are short and the customer service is great, but that's about it. Half the people that I see come here are usually normal customers, and the other half being loud, noisy, and disrespectful people that will go off on you if you even look in their direction. Over 75% of the products I have bought from here I've had to try to return but mostly throw away. I'll see expired products all throughout the store. I've had issues with this before, as well as family members and a few friends. The stores remain cleaned and organized, but what good is that when some products have dust on them or having terrible dates. And a warning too, stay away from the clearance section! This is another area with expired goods, but sometimes to another extreme. I've seen food items anywhere from last week to a few months ago. I've even picked up items contaminated with mold since they've been sitting there so long. Come here for the clean atmosphere and friendly customer service, just be very careful, or better yet stay away from the food. read more

Recently used their curbside pickup for a grocery order. They had to make several substitutions which was expected. Their new selections were all acceptable but I did have the choice to refuse. The young lady that brought my order was very nice, explained the substitutions & loaded them into my car. Took less than 10 minutes total. For us seniors this is very helpful to avoid the crowds during this virus crisis. read more

this is NOT just KROGER but also WALMART i shop at both stores at different locations around Arlington TX and Grand Prairie TX and i have seen employees that are not trained or dont care and when they find refrigerated/frozen item(s) some stupid customer put on a shelf somewhere in the store when the customer changed their mind and decided not to purchase the item(s)...now the item(s) not in the refrigerator/freezer have thawed and are growing bacteria when a employee finds the item(s) and puts the item(s) back in the refrigerator/freezer- the item(s) have been there on the shelf thawed for hours/days when its put back in the refrigerator/freezer again the item(s) are still growing bacteria from being refrigerated/frozen then thawed and then refrigerated/frozen again and then we buy it and eat it and get food poisoning... this is the same for the item(s) a shopper changes their mind about buying at the register after walking around the store while the refrigerated/frozen item(s) in their cart have thawed and the customer tells the cashier they changed their mind about purchasing the item(s)...problem is that the store policy is to put the item(s) back in the refrigerator/freezer...these items should all be put in the trash...i even seen the employees stocking the refrigerated/frozen shelves bring out all the items they need to stock for their entire 8 hour shift and leave them thawing in the aisles for 8 hours while they work their shift-instead of bringing out what they can stock a little at a time before the food thaws and then grows bacteria from being out of the refrigerator/freezer for the 8 hour shift...i have had mild food poisoning too many times and most people that get food poisoning just think they maybe have diarrhea or mild flu...i have found several thawed items in the freezers of these stores and one of them instead of rotating out the old bread they were just pushing back the old bread on the shelves i found many loafs of bread with mold all over the bread loafs and this was the bread the store employees stock and not the bread vendors stock from their own companies products and many times found things like sliced package ham that was so old it was brown and molded...these stores DO NOT teach the employees about proper food handling and how to avoid spoilage...theres a system that has been taught for decades to people that deal with food and this is not just the refrigerated/frozen items all food has an expiration date...thats why employees years ago use to be taught the FIFO SYSTEM (first in first out) i know they dont teach this anymore because for a short time i worked at a few different grocery store companies...somewhere in time the executives decided its cheaper to let customers get sick and because food poisoning is rarely life threatening and you cant prove you got it from their food items...so they dont care... read more

What a horrible store. I've been shopping there for years and they get worse every day. Shelves are empty and not stocked. Staff ignore you. When you finally get someone to ask about empty milk shelves they call somebody, somebody gets paged and nobody shows up. Other staff walk by you as if they are deaf and you are invisible. After ten minutes the guy I first talked to noticed I hadn't been helped and went back into dairy and got the products I needed. Great guy. Horrible store. Horrible customer service from some staff. Bakery shelves are often lacking products same for OJ and Dairy. I asked another staff member why the problem and he said he hadn't seen anybody in the back dairy section for half an hour. I'm done I'll shop elsewhere. read more

the cashier was really lazy when I got some dog food I said "what about the dog food?" and she said "it's not close to me" so I picked the bag up, shoved it in her face and said "is this close enough?" she was not friendly at all I didn't feel the good vibes or any friendly vibes. read more

We moved from North Ft Worth where I loved my big and clean Kroger. This one here is totally out dated and has very few selections to choose from!!! Only reason I go to it is it's fairly clean and very close! It has no self check outs and no gas pumps but you still get gas rewards yet nowhere to use them! I like living in Arlington due to the much slower pace and way less traffic and construction but it's seems to be way behind the times and at times I feel like I live in a very small town! Haven't found a grocery store that I like yet!! I am 50 and our kids are raised otherwise I would want to move back to Ft. Worth where everything is booming and lots to do. read more

worst!. cashier was so impaired on drugs or something that she fell down at her register. When she managed to stand up, she started using her phone saying it was "business. When we asked to just check out, she tried to hand us the phone. Finally the floral attendant rescued us, pushing the impaired one out of the way. she fell down again. The manager was no where to be seen. I called and hung up after a 15 minute hold and called corporate. The CS was not taking me seriously until I asked to stay on the phone while calling the manager. She had not taken any notes and had to ask me to explain again. Will not return, taking my business to Albertsons even though much further to drive. read more

this store is dirty, the employees are rude, and the managers act like they have been smoking something. I love Kroger's but I will never come back to this store. I can't believe that the company has a store this bad. I will drive a little farther next time to find a real Kroger. read more
