This store was very clean, the food was great and the service was excellent. I will definitely visit again when I'm in the Longview area.

This is a great Kroger location and was conveniently located along one of our regular east Texas routes. Kroger had great wine prices and we usually stock up when passing through. The produce is very reasonably priced. read more

This is the only grocery store in Longview you cannot trust to pick out your groceries for order pick up. Imagine living in a time when food costs are at an all time high and the only way to get free range organic eggs from the grocery store is to pay upwards of $7+ a carton. We are living in that time. Now imagine a worker making a conscious decision to give you a $7+ carton of eggs that expires IN 3 DAYS. Now times this equation by two because it's happened twice. Pair that with moldy top bruised tomatoes and you have yourself a solid staff of individuals that really could care less what you and your family will be eating for dinner. If you have to go to this Kroger, I would strongly encourage you to avoid the Order Pick until the staff decides to be better humans to humanity. read more

I called in meds early this morning for needed heart med and had not heard from them by 5:30pm so I went up there and they said the machine kicked out my request because it was denied in Nov. They made not effort to call me or my doctor. This was a heart med which I needed very much. I had a heart attack 3 weeks ago. What made me very unhappy was that they tried to blame it on my doctor which was absolutely untruthful. The mistake was clearly on their part for not at least calling me so and it was very shameful for them to suggest any blame whatsoever on my doctor's part. I really don't appreciate this. read more

This is October 7, 2013. Sadly I went to Kroger's on Gilmer Rd. in Longview. The checker had to check and bag my groceries. I carried them to my car. Brookshire's has employees to do this. Also, my Kroger brand milk was not closed tightly and milk was in the bag and on my car mat. Looks like it is Brookshire's from now on. Lesson learned. read more

Where do I start...They are taking absolutely ZERO precautions during the Covid pandimic! NO signs reminding people to social distance, NO arrows to direct people, NO towels in the bathroom, NO sanitizing carts, not even any sanitizer so I could do it myself! If I get the Corona it will be because I came to this place, I honestly didnt even wanna breath in there. So gross! The aisles had boxes, displays and trash in them, the employees acted like they were to only people in the store, cashiers were even rude. We live in Tyler, there is no Kroger, so we drove all this way and I get this. read more

This store has the mist erratic closing hours of any business in Longview. It's posted open until 1am on the website, the door says 12am, then several nights a week they close at 10-11pm. The manager of this store needs to go to business school and learn that regularity, dependability, and communication are keys to loyalty! I like this store 'specially since the reno. It isn't Whole Foods or H-E-B but it's better than most around Longview/Kilgore (except Skinner's -Go there) They do have a great sushi bar. Those guys came over here, live together and whenever I'm in there, they're always in a great mood. The veggies are always fresh and the meat market is a lot better than it used to be. Somethings are more cost effective at Wal-Mart but I don't like the lines or ... well, Wal-Mart. read more

Very nice store. Friendly people. Clean. The conversion to a "signature" store has dramatically improved an already good store, and is a treat for Longview. Extra care seems to be given to the fresh produce area. Also, this store has a very good selection of organic items of every description (meat, produce, canned, dry, frozen)... There is a sushi bar. I am not a huge fan of sushi, but I don't hate it either and the few times that I have impulsively bought some it tasted very fresh and was less than half of what it would cost at a real sushi place. read more

I have shopped at Kroger most of my adult life. I'm from east Texas, but now reside in the DFW metropolitan area. There always seems to be a convenient location near by, no matter what Texas city I visit. On Tuesday 10/16/18, I was traveling through Longview on a trip from Tennessee and decided to stop at Kroger on Marshall Ave to pick up some finger nail clippers because I had torn a finger nail down the quick moving some suitcases. It had been raining the entire drive so, I used this stop to give myself another much needed break from driving, also. I found the finger nail clippers and a few other items and purchased the them, via self checkout. After making my purchase, I realized the clippers were packaged in thick plastic and I could not open it. I quickly got out of my car and ran through the rain into the store with the nail clippers I had purchased to see if anyone inside the store had something that I could use to open them. Upon entering the store, I saw a thick build blonde female working one of the checkout lines. I politely asked her if she might have something to help me open the package of clippers I had just purchased. I showed her the clippers and tried to show her the damaged finger nail, but she was immediately fixated on the clippers. She went into interrogation mode, asking me if I had purchased the item and then asked for my receipt. I am offended by the rudeness of this employee. The nail clippers were $1.69. She rudely told me they didn't have scissors in the store and then told me I should go back to self check and ask for help there, which was another attempt to try to incriminate me. No one greeted me in this store the whole time I was in it and I saw no one in the self check area when I was checking out and now I am being asked if I stole something. Really? I am still angry about this and will definitely avoid this store. Kroger, you need to find out who the rude blonde is and have a discussion about customer service! NEVER AGAIN! read more

This store has dramatically improved since the recent renovation. A solid grocery store with a great selection, conveniently located in the center of Longview. Kroger is to be commended for not giving up on this location. Once you start earning Fuel Points and using Kroger's smartphone app with its attendant coupons, you can really save on the grocery / gasoline bill. read more

Yes, I love the fresh products in this store. Having worked with bread, I know the bread comes from the same bakery on the same day as the bread delivered to a Walmart store but this bread is softer and seems fresher. Kroger milk is great as well and having worked at the distribution center in Keller, TX, I can tell you that the produce and meat products are received and delivered with care. JUST ONE COMPLAINT! When you walk into the store, a sign requiring masks for coronavirus protection is there but at 10 pm tonight, there were a couple of people working with the check stands that were wearing their masks around their necks and the manager on duty wasn't wearing a mask at all while working closely with customers and other employees...could someone remind him there is an ongoing pandemic that has killed 34 people in Gregg county. read more

Seriously if you expect an organic section, go to Walmart they have better organic produce......how sad I called the store manager 10 days ago and discussed the substandard condition of the organic department she promised me it would be addressed. I called ahead to see if I should make the 30 mile drive..... I got disconnected after speaking to the second person who was not informed.... When I arrived the produce would make good compost.... it was wilted and brown, it certainly was not editable.... Next time I go I will take pictures to post... Whole foods is 2 1/2 hours away :( Tomorrow I plan to call corporate since local management obviously doesn't care ..... Organic is a Kroger standard if you can't do it correctly why do it at all ???? read more

The 12 - 24 packs of sodas were surprising NOT ENOUGH to offer for sale to the Longview shoppers. Instead of spending near $100.00 dollars for groceries at Kroger We left and went to WALMART and shopped there .We got everything that We needed and probably didn't pay any more for the items that We bought. Instead of driving extra miles to get to kroger,,, just go to Albertsons or Aldi,or Walmart and get the things that are ADVERTISED for sale. read more

This is the first time in a long time I've had a complaint about this store because they have some great people working there, but if Longview still has a health inspector, they should have closed them down today, Saturday 8/31/19 as both rest rooms were out of order, Since they sell food, can't imagine this not being a major violation. One of the employees told me they had been having to go to Burger King all day. read more

This is my store in Longview! I have always enjoyed Kroger's as I am a NewYorker and they have Boars Head cold-cuts which are excellent. They usually have the latest new products I am looking for. Their prices are good and store easy to navigate. read more
