HORRIBLE DELIVERY EXPERIENCE--MINEOLA WALMART. If I could give a 0 or negative score, I would. I…read moreplaced an order 12:16 PM on 9/16/2026 to be delivered between 3-5 PM that day. At 1:54 PM, I got a text there were substitutions which I okayed (the rest was apparently filled). At 4:41 PM, I got a text the order was delayed but would arrive by 6:10 PM. It didn't. When I checked the status at 7:03 PM, it said it'd be delivered by 3:13 PM (which had passed almost 4 hours earlier). No one called or messaged me valid updates and my order didn't come, but my status indicated I could cancel or reschedule for pickup if I wanted. I didn't.
As of 12:18 PM 9/17, my order still hadn't come. No employee showed concern and contacted me, and my order status still showed it was due to be delivered by 3:13 PM the prior day. I messaged back/forth with the store--AI--and it indicated my order should still arrive that day (17th). I called a number I'd been given a prior time my order was messed up; I'd been told it was for delivery & pickup orders. However, the woman who answered said they didn't handle orders that hadn't arrived, and instead, I needed to call customer service. I did and didn't get a human, just AI which knew 0 but indicated I could cancel & reorder if I wanted. It also said my order would still arrive that night. When I checked for delivery rescheduling or pickup options, there were none. I didn't instantly cancel/reorder. Note: I originally ordered per wanting the things, and didn't want Walmart to have my money TWO times vs one while I'd have to wait days & days for my money to be refunded. Beyond this, it's very disturbing that people who haven't received their paid orders are expected to talk to AI and not be given the courtesy of speaking to real people who might have actual answers about when orders would be delivered.
I messaged the store on one of their online feedback forms, asking for an answer re when my order would come. Nobody responded (and they still haven't to this day, 9/30.) I called customer service again, asked for a human this time, & was passed to a very nice man in a different state. He looked in the system, indicated the Mineola store could see there was a problem, but he found NO SIGN they were doing anything about it. He personally sent the store a report, thought the order would be delivered by end of day, but it wasn't.
9/18 arrived and still nobody called or contacted me in any way from Mineola Walmart, despite the facts they had my money and they were to blame for not getting my order to me (not me to blame). I put through another feedback form, again asking when my order would come. Again--no answer. My son called customer service, another nice man in a different area said the order should arrive by 8 PM, but... it didn't. On 9/19, my son again called customer service, was again told it should arrive by 8 PM that day, but... no order.
When 9/20 arrived, I suddenly received an email from Walmart saying they'd canceled my order. One place indicated I should have my money back in 3 days, another 10 days. Of course, I was told I could reorder--as if I'd risk the same thing occurring, given how very rudely and uncaringly I was treated by staff (except those out of area).
Mineola Walmart, this is how you treat your customers? You should be ashamed. I've always stood up for Walmart and defended it to those speaking poorly about it, but no more. We were always courteous with drivers, always tipped them. But you are advertising a service you sometimes provide very poorly, and other times don't provide at all, despite taking customers' money. And even when you fail to deliver to some as promised, you STILL TAKE ORDERS from other people for that very night. Yes, I checked. While I was waiting for what never came on day 1, Mineola Walmart was still offering +available delivery times for that very evening. Even when you know there's a problem, you apparently choose at times to do nothing about it and to be totally uncaring. Again, you should be ashamed for treating customers this way.
