You can pay folks to stand around and shoot the breeze, but if a senior needs assistance checking out, they better come in the morning because night time is no time to get it here. Better idea, go to the PUBLIX on Wade Green where they still care about the customer. They have full service registers (plural) open until the store closes. NOBODY should have to work so hard to spend money in your store! At Publix, they'll even help you to your car... Wow! What a concept. Tonight I reached a level of PISSED OFF that is simply unhealthy at my age. I may be done. This store has a great Meat Department and the staff in the morning is exceptional, but after 7PM, the customer service is done. I've been shopping here for 20 plus years. Entire staff is great. Tonight while I was walking from my car to the store Ismail was rolling carts inside. He greeted me very respectfully and asked if I wanted a cart. OK - I am usually not a negative person ... I'm just being truthful with my opinions. So, The parking lot sometimes is dirty. When you walk in the door it is crowded with product. The store is mostly clean. I wish they could make the lighting better and declutter the store. I would say the employees are 50-50 on friendliness. Was standing in line with my autistic nephew to return some items that were bad and took him outside to look at flowers because no one was in customer service and there was a huge line. I enjoy going grocery shopping at Kroger but have a really hard time finding fresh produce. I go mainly for the fresh fruit but last time they were almost out of berries, grapes and bananas. I wish that they had more options! The customer service is hit or miss depending on the staff working there that day. They refer to their digital coupons as if we should know what they are and use the word(s): app, phone, in as few words as possible. They run an ad for 24pk soda, run out of it, put 12pk in their display place with their SALE sign, then tell you at the counter they can't let you use the alternate pack and no rain checks, so I left my full cart at their counter. I've been going to this Kroger's pharmacy for 2 years and it is a complete joke. The line is always ridiculously long. It's usually a 30 mins to an hour wait for me to be seen. Every single month I'm almost out of my medication I call in advance to for a refill. And every time I get a text saying it's ready I drive 30 mins to this location just to find out they don't have it and they have no idea what's going on. This has happens more times than I can count. And when ever they do have my medication there IS NO REFILL! My physiatrist tells me they called in for 3 MONTHS OF REFILLS. I've seen so many people in line ahead of me get turned around looking pissed, probably cause they couldn't get there prescriptions either. I have depression and anxiety 3 days of my meds sends me spiraling. I've considered not taking my meds entirely after dealing with the frustrating loop this location has put me in. This pharmacy needs to be shut down.... This location is pathetic read more

I've never been a fan of this location for so many reasons but.... in recent months since t hff e pandemic, they have really stepped up there game.. now, I'm still not a fan of going inside but they are now doing curbside pickup which is absolutely awesome.. make your order via internet,pick a timeslot to pickup groceries. They send u text of any items not found or substituted.. then u show up, park, call the number posted.. then 5 min later you are greeted at your car normally by a very sweet and pretty young lady with all your groceries.. all they ask of you is to open an close the trunk yourself... and away you go....we have been doing it this way ever since the pandemic began... great concept and executed perfectly... read more

After an unfortunate incident at Publix I came here for a cake for my daughter's birthday. I wanted a custom cake made. The lady that helped me was wonderful. She quickly took my order and was very helpful and friendly. The cake turned out beautiful and was cheaper than what I was used to paying at Publix. I'm so glad I came here and will continue to do in the future. The cake decorators are talented and willing to work with you as to what you want - unlike Publix. The store may look a bit dingy but the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

This is a decent neighborhood store that has some nice employees working here that are friendly and actually say, "hello", "good afternoon ", "can I help you find something?" . They could have a better collection of ethnic foods and better stocked shelves. They for some reason don't carry Japanese beer, not sure why, not everyone loves Coors or Budweiser all the time. Kroger is like my go to store.. I know that many go to Walmart and publix but Kroger actually takes the time out to send you coupons pertaining to you,if you are signed up. In addition you can get a free item every Friday just for being a Kroger plus customer. They even have great deals every once in a while where you download a coupon for one day only and for one day only you can get a certain item at a great discount. Just the other day pop tarts were .99. And they allowed up to 5. This location use to be 24 hours but they are not anymore. They have sushi made daily,rotisserie chickens,and more. The customer service is great to me..always available to assist you. Sometimes they can be a little to attentive to where they seem like robots but hey I will take that over no one trying to help. read more

I would rate the pharmacy 5 stars, but there is one young woman (Kanthi) that works there that ALWAYS gives me bad information. Every single time I speak to her, she gives me incorrect information. The pharmacists and Tony are amazing and sooo helpful, but they are always trying to "clean" up after the bad information she gives. I don't know if she needs more training or needs to learn to listen or just has no common sense (she OFTEN asks if my son and husband are twins... because they have the same name... note: their birthdays are 38 frigging years apart and we give her their birthdates EVERY SINGLE TIME!) oh and she kept telling me that an inhaler and a nebulizer are the same thing... comforting, huh? I love everything else about this pharmacy... just wish I didn't have to deal with her. read more

Very slow service .and rude stuff on pharmacy Kroger at Cherokee road Kennesaw. I only have pain killer from my dentist and they ask me to wait one and half hour..even though I told them my tooth getting hurt..they don't care Same happens was I need a vaccine (Walk in) ..they ask me to come back next day. Saturday 5.30 PM ..mean is they have another 30 minutes before closing.. No costumer waiting for Medicine or vaccine. Only me and my husband.. He said for vaccine he need 15 minutes for preparing and 15 minutes to give me a shoot and they just about to close no enough time to do vaccine So I run to Walgreens ..time 5.40 pm 20 minutes before closing..and they accepted us , no questions ask. Only took him 10 minutes to give us vaccine.. Compare with other pharmacy ..Kroger is worse pharmacy ever..the stuff looks busy behind the computer ..only 1 person running around in pharmacy.. The waiting time more longer than other pharmacy.. Don't go there...they don't deserve business. read more

Kroger is okay, but I don't like THIS particular location. It has NOTHING. Well. Nothing I want, anyway. Plus, the layout of the store is weird, and no one working there seems happy that you're shopping there. I MUCH prefer Publix. Alas, I digress. This store doesn't have: Blue Bell Ice Cream in the pint size (wth?!); Pepperidge Farm Poppyseed Onion Sandwich Buns; Keebler Snack Crackers (no, Lance aren't the same); or turkey ham; AND the Silk Soy Milk isn't with the milk and other soy milk in the milk section, it's up in the front, in the "natural foods" section. Why have some soy milk in one section of the store, and other soy milk in another section? That's just dumb to me. Again, skip this store, keep driving to Publix. read more

What can you say about Kroger other than discussing a certain location? They sell groceries, have a small organic section and they sell sushi which freaks me out. I do miss the days where grocery stores helped you load groceries in your car. I go shopping 2-3 times a month and I'd be happy to tip if someone helped get my heavy stuff in to the trunk but no one offers anymore. Am I showing my age?! I like that this location sells gas. I put over 25k miles on my car the first year I had it so gasoline is important in my motoring. I also appreciate the marketing ploy Kroger has with earning "points" to get money off a gallon of gas. I tend to do a touch down dance when I score 10 cents off. Of course everyone is staring but it is my own version of the lottery without the guilt. read more

This review is for the pharmacy only. The remarks about the parking were not included in the rating. My wife had ordered a prescription from our regular Kroger in Acworth. When they realized they were out of stock, they called this Kroger to fill it for her. By the time we drove here, the prescription was ready for pickup - EXCELLENT service, accompanied by a friendly staff. The only drawback to this location is the parking. Entrance from Cherokee Street is an adventure - down a steep hill into a blind left turn, then across the entire lot, past the very busy gas station. Exit in that direction is nigh unto impossible,as it empties out into the turn lane for Jiles Road. Exit at Jiles Road limits you to a right turn which then requires a U-turn to get back to Cherokee Street. Very inconvenient. read more

I am an avid Kroger shopper. I have the rewards card and it's always my priority grocery store. But the other day I went to this location and had the most absurd experience. I have a simple question for the bakery and I was leaving class at Kennesaw State. Naturally, I called the bakery to make sure they had what I wanted before I drove all the way there. So I called them as I was leaving the parking deck at KSU. A lady answered who barely spoke English and I asked for bakery and she said yes one second and the phone rang so long that it re-dialed Kroger on it's own because nobody answered. When it re-dialed the same lady answered the phone and said one second, again. This happened 4 times. I was so fed up that I hadn't reached an employee by the time I had arrived and parked at Kroger. I walked inside and walked to the bakery and asked a lady, I am assuming the same lady because she could barely speak English and she had the same high pitched voice from the phone "do you still print edible images on cake"? She said I don't know my manager will be back in 20 minutes. I said I don't have 20 minutes and I called 4 times and nobody answered. She said "4, really?". I said YES in a very pissed tone. I said can you not ask another manager or another employee in the bakery (there were 2 men in the bakery area behind the counter). She said no. That's it. So i said this is ridiculous and walked out. 20 minutes. Now I had limited time to order the cake and go to work. I didn't have time to wait 20 minutes to order a cake. I had anticipated a 1 min response to my question, order the cake, and leave. I was furious that I had called 4 times, gotten no answer, and then drove all the way there and still had no answer. This was ridiculous. If you have employees that cannot understand what you're saying and do not know simple answers to your questions, then why would a manager leave them alone for more than 20 minutes? That is on Kroger for poor training and poor hiring. read more

I admit that I am a fan of the nearby Publix, but I will also make use of this store if it's late at night and Publix has already closed up for the day. The place is big, clean, and typically has everything I am looking for in-stock and ready to go. Make use of that weekly ad to find some good deals and be sure to check out the produce, which is usually some of the best I've seen at any store. If they need to work on anything, it's encouraging their employees to be a bit more engaging and friendly -- this is currently Publix's big advantage over them. read more

I haven't had much of a problem with this Kroger. Every now and then the produce (especially lettuce) is a little too wilted for my taste, but I bought makeup here yesterday and went to open it today and both items that I bought have mold on them. They are two completely different products from two different brands. I should have noticed before I bought them but I was in a rush so I just got the colors I wanted and headed straight out. I feel like I shouldn't have to check the product for mold though. I'm sure the shipment boxes have dates on them and in my experience, it takes a really long time for a unopened eyeliner pencil to grow mold (like a year). Slow service due to lack of cashiers. They expect for you to cash yourself out. The Kroger on Cobb Pkwy. Is a lot better. This was written over a year ago and not posted. Today I visited at approximately 9:20 AM no one at the register to check you out. Don't waste your time here and the shopping experience at most other Kroger's are better. It's a shame you have to go to a different area to shop at a Kroger. They added more self check registers at this location which has compounded their problem of rapid checkout. Self check is an option that I do not like. 0 cashier at the register. Once I inquired I was told someone would meet me at register 9. Several workers seem confused as to who should check me out. Very inconvenient to shop for 45 mins. And have to leave all my holiday grocery. Shop where your money pays for products delivered with good customer service. read more

I have to give high praise to the meat department. I was looking for a certain item (pigs feet) I had called several stores and everyone was out. Well the lady at this store Yulander not only got the remaining packs that she had, she put them aside for me. While I was shopping I heard my name, she wanted to make sure that everything was alright and that I got them. I asked if she could cut them in half and she did that for me. Then I was looking for garlic and she directed to it. I have a Publix 2 minutes from my home, but I will be shopping at this Kroger from now on. I have been coming to this Kroger since 2008 when i purchased my house around the corner and i just wanted to take the time and let you know about Mickey in the meat department. He is a really nice guy tries to get to know your name and is always willing to stop what he is doing to be of assistance. Im the type of person that gets off late and usually running in the store around the time the meat department is packing up and he has always been more that happy to help me.
