I usually don't have problems with Kroger's, but this store in particular has a low standard customer service wise. I always have issues when I am checking out at this store. Their employees seem to be always distracted and unmotivated. Today I happen to be in the area and I stopped by to grab some items and when I came up to the register the employee was distracted with talking to her co-worker and ignored me for 10 seconds. I went ahead and just entered my reward number into the pin pad and waited another 10 seconds before she acknowledged me. Correction, she didn't even acknowledge me she stared at me and said nothing. I said politely, "how are you doing?" Still no response and she continued to stare at me, then I asked if there was a problem and she just started to check my things out(with an attitude and throwing my items to the bagging person without care). I was going to put in a complaint to the manager, but I figured it would be a waste of time. This is how I'm usually treated when I come to this store. read more

Didn't want to write a review for Kroger. Been going to this location for over 10 years. But my experience yesterday at the Starbucks counter was interesting. When I walked in, there was a man in his mid 30's waiting at the counter looking around. I asked him if he knew where the clerk went. His response was, she was over there talking as he pointed in the direction of the pharmacy. So I looked over there to see if I could spot the clerk. No more than one minute later I see her coming from the bathroom. I said to the man oh there she is, she went to the bathroom. Immediately he grew impatient & said I've been waiting for my half and half. I was shocked I asked him doesn't you job let you use the bathroom, because I know my job does. He came back and said but I have my coffee already I shouldn't have to wait for this and turned around with an attitude. I tapped him on his shoulder and said you are a human and that woman who needed to go to the bathroom is human too. Don't be so insensitive. She makes it to the counter and he gives her the most grief. He leaves and I explain to her what happened. At the end of the day I don't care about waiting for someone to come back from the bathroom. Came here to pick up some bottles of water. It's a very clean Kroger in a nice neighborhood. I've been to many Krogers across the country so it was nice seeing this grocery chain in the medical center area. They have all the amenities that you'd need from a deli to your typical produce and non-perishables. Very convenient! read more

Note this is my "home" Kroger and I dread coming here! The parking is horrible, lots of homeless wondering around the parking lot asking for money, too many parking spaces for "moms with small children", "expectant moms", basket stalls, etc. and this is just the outside! The gas pumps here SUCK. The scanner for your Kroger card doesn't work on half of them. The card reader is slow and doesn't always read the card - I had to put it in FIVE TIMES. The buttons are often hard to push hard enough to make them work as well. Screw this, Valero here I come. read more

HORRIBLE Customer Service Experience! Always have a bad experience here! The manager doesn't care so don't waste your time speaking with him. Annette at the customer service desk yelled at me because I didn't understand that there was a sign to stand behind versus walking up to the desk and standing behind the person in front of you. I told her I didn't appreciate her tone and yelling at me and she proceeded to argue with me so I asked for manager. All he did was nothing. Annette proceeded to talk about me with another employee named Julie or Julia right in front of my face. The store is always crowded, bad customer service, carts are always every where and not accessible, parking is a nightmare and it just isn't worth it anymore to go here. This store goes up and down but is better than surrounding store. They have good specials and cheap gasoline.

The good - Looks clean for most part. Check-out lines usually pretty short. Relatively cheap gas. Decent selection and prices. The bad - Make sure you check the expiration date on things since they will have expired items out. Bugs. Last time I bough pasta in a box, was full of flour beetles. Fortunately, the pasta was lasagna noodles I was planning to use that day, so it never made its way into my pantry. This only happened once. However, have had to repeatedly throw out lettuce over the last several months due to lots of flies being present in it. Don't know why I keep trying, but every month or so, will buy some just to see. Still full of bugs. Will probably continue to shop their for most things since it's right next to where I live, but will hopefully wise up soon and stop buying their produce. read more

If I could leave a negative review I would. I came to this store as always and never had a problem with anyone. Tonight I walked to the door only to get turned around 5 mins before 12 by the security guard. She stated she was instructed by management not to let anyone else in, which was well before they actually closed. The manager by the name of Clint was very rude. Clint did not want to let me in even though it was before midnight, which says online they close at 1am by the way. He not only told me no before they closed at 12 he closed the door in my face saying that the store has always closed at midnight for about 6months now. Mind you I made it to the store before midnight and only needed one item "dog food", which is at the front of the store. I also let him know that they might want to change their hours of operation because it says they close at 1am which is false advertisement for the store. read more

i was quite appalled at the security guard today who started raising his voice at an elderly man with a cane who was barely able to get out of a lyft ride. this was very rude and impatience at its worst. the poor man could not understand why he was being talked to this way as were several customers looking on in astonishment. if kroger allows this type of security guard to treat dedicated customers, especially elderly ones to be degraded like this we will stop shopping here. read more

I just experienced racial profiling at this Kroger store today. I was in the self-checkout line and a woman who worked there literally stood over me and even checked my bags at one point. I was also with my 3-year old daughter! I'm horrified. I ended up returning to report her and the store manager, David, was very nonchalant about it and even said "we don't want to get her in trouble." I'm a loyal customer and live in the community. This treatment I received today was despicable and unacceptable. Needless to say, I'm currently contacting the corporate office! read more

Terrible, bummer of a place to shop--if you finally make it into the parking lot. During busy periods it borders on impossible to either enter or exit. (The first grocers I've ever seen that needed parking control.) The staff ranges from hostile to apathetic. The men's bathroom is old and grungy. And the interior is badly, badly laid out. read more

used to be better before they rearranged the entire store. now you can't find anything easily and there is not flow on how things are organized around there. not sure what it is but management is always changing including the staff. seems like selection of certain items have been eliminated or downsized. i prefer to go to the Buffalo Speedway location where most of the employees at least acknowledge and greet you and things are a bit easier to find there. read more

I like Krogers in general and the prices at the store are lower than those at the Westpark/Buffalo Speedway store...BUT after last week's shopping I have serious reservations about returning. In three trips - one regular shopping, two quick in and outs - we saw the WORST of this store! Ran in and got ice. When I opened it the next day ice on the inside had green stuff - mildew or scum, I don't care, I tossed it. Called store and they said they had not heard of this before and the ice company routinely cleans the freezer. This wasn't from the freezer, it was from the factory that bags the ice. Krogers management didn't seem concerned. In the regular shopping trip, bought grape tomatoes that when opened had a couple of bad tomatoes in the box, got a yellow bell pepper that started to mold in two days. KROGER IS NOT A DISCOUNT CHAIN. THEIR VEGGIES SHOULD BE FRESH. Obviously, they aren't. Also on this trip I was charged from water I did not buy, was over charged for some chicken salad and some tomato sauce. I should have learned, but when back some some more tomato sauce that I needed and they mis-rang that up as well. NOT A GOOD KROGER EXPERIENCE. read more

Everytime I do decide to go to this krogers location, I'm highly disappointed. The produce was awful, they didn't have a single peach, how can you not have a produce item that's advertised?! So no peaches, ok, no nectarines either. My breaking point in the store was when they didn't have any ground turkey. Not even one single pack, I even asked. I almost right then and there left my cart because I went grocery shopping to get turkey to make dinner and now I needed to go to another store to get it. However, I weighed my options, I had a quite a few things in my cart, so I decided to check out. When I checked out, I was that lady who didn't want half of her things, produce included and I've never done that. I was just so put off by the lack of good produce and just plain irritated that I didn't to my usual grocery store. Though I will say that the lady in the deli was delightful. But needless to say, I won't ever be back to this location. read more

Monday evenings must be the bottom of the week for grocery stores, and it is recession, but whoa, this place is hurting. Walk into the store, no carts. OK, found a cart from someone leaving. Natural flow is to produce with a big featured display of strawberries on sale. May have been a great deal over the weekend, but what was left was really sad; a few boxes of way over the hill berries, some with big balls of white fungus. Yuck. Most of the produce was in better shape, but I was on a mission to get the makings for a banana split. Only bananas left were a few really green ones, won't be edible for days. Head over to the ice cream. Big sale on Dryer's, cool, but way picked over. Most of the shelf was empty but fortunately scored a plain vanilla at the sale price. 9 o'clock at night and they were seriously hunkering down for the night. Place stays open until midnight, but all the meats were being stored away, no one at seafood or the bakery. Auto checkout went smoothly, but even at 9 there was a line for the one human checker on duty. read more

I don't see how 3 stars is A-OK, particularly since the salad bar closes when most Medical Center folks get off work (7PM) - too early in my opinion. At least this location has a salad bar, and that's the only benefit. The store is too small (they run out of items fairly quickly compared to the store Kroger closed on 1990 Old Spanish Trail due to Medical Center 'encroachment'); perhaps they will expand the store but until then I may have to look for a good salad bar elsewhere. read more
