The store inside is clean & well stocked. However there delivery service is just inadequate. They will tell you your gate code doesn't work when you know for a fact it does. So your delivery doesn't take place. For that reason I can't recommend this Kroger at all. read more

This Kroger location is pretty big with a lot of variety and foods and goods. Tried one of the sushi rolls, it was decent for grocery store sushi. The store is well organized throughout. There's also a lot of discounts and deals available on different items. I did notice that some of the orange bags were not fresh. For example, some of the oranges in the bags had mold, and a lot of mold. The other fruit items that I looked at seemed fresh, but seeing the mold on several orange bags made me a little queasy. Other than that, it seems like the other produce, like the vegetables were fresh and not spoiled. Parking was pretty manageable here, and this store also has a drive-through pharmacy and some spots for picking up groceries that are pre-ordered. For service, I use the self service checkout station, which was efficient. read more

I wouldn't wish going to this Kroger on my worst enemy. This is by far the worst Kroger I have ever been to. Quite possibly the worst grocery store I've ever been to. One positive, I will say their produce selection is usually decent - unlike the location on Cedar Springs that always has rotting and bruised produce. I started shopping here when it was first built and it used to be nice. Now there is always homeless people in the parking lot, you'll get approached and asked for money. You can tell there's a lot of theft because they have monitors everywhere inside the store. You'll also hear the alarm go off multiple times during your shopping experience. People are probably stealing because there's never any registers open and the line for the self check outs is crazy long. Anyways, I don't shop here because it's so frustrating, chaotic and messy. Even Walmart is better. read more

Kroger is a large grocery chain store. The prices tend to be a little more expensive than Walmart. Kroger has a good range of food selection as expected from a large grocery store. Kroger is one the few large grocery stores in the medical district, but one should take caution with safety around that area. They have security at the entrance of the store. The prices and selections are good, but the customer service is abominable! Never are there enough front of the house employees working between 4 and 8p. Very long lines, very long wait times to check out. Better not complain or give any attitude or you will probably get cursed at by the checker supervisor. Many evening you will see whole carts of food abandoned as customers give up and just walk out. The worst is when you are trying to buy alcohol and the checkers are chit chatting at the main register. If you even offer up even a "psst, hey can ya help me," you will get reprimanded for either being disrespectful or even racist! Worst store ever. read more

Customer service skills are non existent. To start off no one is doing basket claims. All of the customers including myself are having to go back outside and find carts to ship with. My main issue with my review though is with the lack of professionalism. I was checked by Kyee/Kylee (who immediately rolled their eyes when I entered the lane) and I was refused full service bagging for my items. Literally my stuff rung up, I'm paying and they refuse to bag. The next person is assisted and now literally their items are being mixed into mine. Rude and unprofessional. I was told I could just do it myself because I'm just standing there. I then was pacified by the manager with the red vest stating they aren't allowed to bag as they go and they can bag at the end. Well neither is being done. This is ridiculous! Self service lines are down the aisle. Half the machines are broken. But we have cashiers who can't even put items in the bag. And I had a full cart! My bread and few small items were the only things bagged for me. If your workers don't want to come to work please get new ones! According to their employees there are usually no cashiers after 5pm. This is not a neighborhood grocery store, it is a corporation focused on profits. It is also not uncommon to see empty shelves and dirty aisles, while employees meander around. The only area where they spare no expense is on their security. I've been a long time customer of the Kroger located on Maple Ave., in Dallas, I've never had any complaints and was happy to begin using their pharmacy 2 years ago, as opposed to CVS, however today experience was exhausting and caused my blood pressure to rise out of control! I called a just a little after 1pm today and a recording told me they were closed and would re-open at 9am the next morning, I was devastated and could not wait this long so decided to call my doctor's office and had them send elsewhere because I desperately needed them no later than today, being that my doctor appointment was Tuesday at 1pm., CVS performed and had meds ready really fast, within a couple hours, the bad thing is they didn't accept my insurance :( So, I decided to try calling and speaking to a manager at Kroger to ask why the pharmacy was closed until tomorrow??? He said, they are open until 8pm tonight, I was livid!!!! Why is there not an out to lunch recording as opposed to a closed for the day recording? In the meantime my legs are swelling out of control, I'm terrified of having a stroke, and am having to deal with this all night until the morning, hope this isn't a fatal error on Kroger's part. Worst experience in my life thanks to some stock worker named Duane who said his name was Michael Jackson when I asked him to give me his name he made a huge ordeal over me asking him for a box when I used his stock cardboard trash box to fill it up with all the canned vegetables I was buying so that I could unload it to my pantry and not waste 50 bags anyways long story short the jerk made me leave and that entire cart too. What a joke!! Bunch of angry miserable people here who hate their lives and ps never go here after 1230am they won't let you shop when they close at 1 bc they are so lazy and the location loses so much $$$ over people being turned away. I know you lying. Moments ago I had to pull the whole, "l would like to speak to a manager" due to me needing to exchange red velvet cupcakes I purchased Saturday for Easter Sunday. Not even 10 mins to my new home did all the icing slide off and the cupcakes were not edible. I'm on dialysis so I was only able to get to the store this morning. After review of the receipt the dusty ass 'customer service' rep tells me I got it from the cedar springs store around the corner and I would need to take it back there so they "could get the hit". Lady wtf are you talking about a hit?? I paid for a product from Kroger and need it exchanged with receipt. The manager Wade came and took care of it and this broad had the nerve to say out loud "I was told not to do that, but you're the manager" yes heifer he is and you are not! Overall, I really liked the store, but there's just a couple of things they need to get right or they're going to continue to lose tons of customers. I've accepted the fact that I have to scan my own groceries, but why are half of their self checkouts always closed. I'm scanning my own groceries, should I really have to wait in line. Also, why are there never any shopping carts in the cart area? I get into the store and no shopping cart then I have to go out and find one in the parking lot. Visiting from Chattanooga, TN which has no Kroger markets yet. We needed to find a grocery store to pick up a few things while staying at the Homewood Suites for a week. I like the challenge of trying to cook tasty meals on a small two-burner stove with substandard pans and useless utensils. Makes life a little more exciting, right? This store was closest to the hotel, making it my first stop once settled. They have very nice greeters at the door, a pleasant touch for a grocer. Of course they have all the standard fare expected in such a store, but they up their game with a very nice variety of non-standard items. I'm impressed with the bulk food offerings which include ready-made frozen meal starters; something I've not seen anywhere before. The selection is great and I have to say I wish some place in TN would take note of this idea! Scoop and go. Nice. The produce selection is great and everything looks fresh. Meat choices are wide and they include several pre-seasoned selections, making meal prep easier. Every associate I came across was polite, professional, and friendly. The store is clean and inviting in its layout. Very pleasant experience overall and helped make our trip more enjoyable. I look forward to a time when Kroger makes it into the Chattanooga area and will happily support them anytime I can. read more

Firstly they gave me someone else's prescription Thursday. Then I do a pick up order because I am out with the flu and they pushed it back then cancelled it last minute. I reordered to get it next day and I'm literally missing half my items. The pick up team was helpful and said they were able to get the items in an hour so that is much appreciated. I called to speak to the store manager Crystal and she was not helpful or emphatic all I asked was if they can just deliver the items that were missing she does to say how they are understaffed. I understand but at the same time I have been inconvenienced by this store. They already asked me to bring the medicine back in there that they put with mine. I will not continue to give this store another dime not to mention there is never any baskets here. Ok, so in fairness, I absolutely despise Kroger. That said, this location is even bad beyond those standards. The parking lot is a big ugly wedge shape that is constantly filled with rednecks honking their horns at each other to get out of the way. Inside, it might seem a bit more attractive. Until you find that you cant even get close to the meat section...or produce....or cheese....or any other section that requires a person because Kroger can't afford to compete. Would avoid if possible. Service is absolutely horrible , after checking out I left a bag there that I didn't realize, I had to wait out side for an Uber for about 10 min and definitely enough time for someone to run it out to me. After calling the first time I asked if there was any way to help get it to me since I travel for work and don't have a means of transportation. But the person said no with no willingness to help and hung up. I've been on hold for over an hour trying to get what was left behind refunded but no one has answered. I'm not a huge grocery shopper, but this place is on the way home and every now and then I'll help out my BF and get some food for the kitchen. The parking lot is a mad house; people driving, parking and walking all day err'day. I wonder if any small fender benders happen here?! Wouldn't surprise me. The other day I came in here and they were completely out of shopping carts. Everyone had to go outside to get one. Despite the craziness this store is put together well. Everything is easy to find and the employees are friendly. Usually I'm buying produce here and it's mostly fresh (we bought some tomatoes that were rotted at the bottom of the container once...but they refunded our money). I also like their sushi rolls you can buy pre-packaged. Nothing fancy, but they are reasonable and have been my dinner many a Friday night when I have stayed in for the evening. If you're going to come here just be careful driving in the parking lot and be sure to bring your Kroger card for some additional savings! read more

Females do not shop here alone at night! My boyfriend and I were approached by two people in the parking lot as we walked in and another while we were getting in our car to leave. The produce here is absolutely horrible. Most of the tomatoes had mold on them and the yellow squash was covered with dents like people had squeezed it too hard. The cilantro was wilted and had a pretty pitiful selection to choose from. I was unable to find a few veggies and fruit that I can normally find at the other two Kroger's in uptown. If you want a shopping cart, get one from the bin in the parking lot, you won't find any inside, that have working wheels. There is a huge produce section with fresh products. The wine/beer section was expanded and organized. This is a large store in what used to be an Elliott's Hardware, so they are filling up that space with abundance. Prices here seem to be higher than other Kroger locations I had visited. I spent about 40 dollars MORE buying the same items and in number as I had in the likes of Wynnwood at check-out. Another negative experience is when seeing employees walking around with HEADPHONES ON listening to music as the push carts full of stock or other type of material around customers. I did not felt safe seeing this. I tried calling management over the phone about my concerns but they never picked up. I am not sure about ever visiting this location again. read more

This is a great location -- located at Maple & Medical District Drive. Working just down the street this is a convenient location to tab and go on the way to and from work. Ok... so it was shiny and new. Everything was excellently stocked, the service was amazing, the food was fresh, and I was hoping things would NEVER change, or come off that standard! Unfortunately, this Kroger is just like every other Kroger nowadays. No more friendly service, no more fully stocked shelves, no more happy greetings... But I shouldn't be surprised... it's kind of what I expected. After all, it IS a grocery store. I'll still go to this one because it's close. But there are definitely better ones out there.
