Consistently incredible. Always ripe and ready (but you can request "ready in a few days" avocado too, they do their BEST to accommodate!), and they aaaalways sell HUGE avocados! No bruising like the palettes of product in restaurant warehouses or grocery stores either. Seriously, I could eat one every day... maybe I already do ;)

If you're picking up your order, your GPS will likely take you the wrong direction to get into their distribution headquarters. Do NOT try to enter from W Davis St. Instead, you'll want to get onto N Cockrell Hill Rd. From there, go west on Rock Quarry Rd into a distribution center. You'll pass a couple of other businesses' buildings before coming upon Hardie's on your left-hand side. Park in one of the two Visitor Parking spots (next to a few Employee Parking spots) and text or call the number on the parking sign posted at the first parking space.

The chicken soup is probably the best I've had anywhere, and I go out of my way to get it when I'm sick. They also have a wide variety of freshly squeezed juices and fresh fruit bowls. They offer a pretty big range of menu options from healthy to greasy, and I can't imagine that anyone could ever leave dissatisfied. It's hard to believe La Fiesta Fruits isn't more popular around lunchtime. It's conveniently located in the West End. It's hard to see, but it's in the same building as Chipotle. If you go through the entrance, Chipotle is on the right, and La Fiesta Fruits is on the left. For some reason, the Chipotle is always packed, but there's never a line at La Fiesta, so I guess that's a bonus. This was one of my lunch staples when I worked downtown. It's definitely worth a try if you work in the area, and you'll kick yourself for not trying it sooner.

what we thought were 2 yellow watermelons for $18 EACH…read more When we got home (35 min. drive) one of them was red center but we paid of course for yellow center, my mother doesn't drive so we went back a day later with a third of watermelon because family members ate a portion. Mind you, you don't know what color it is until you cut into it which they wanted the whole watermelon returned which we returned a 1/3 at which they stated: then stated they should give us a 1/3 yellow watermelon back. Fine then they should pay for my gas for1 hr. Round trip and MY TIME AND THE DISTRESS to correct WHAT THEY WRONGFULLY SCREWED UP which till this day they never apologized for. I'm truly thinking at this point that they did it on purpose knowing we probably didn't live there and it's just assume we would not bring it back. They were extremely cold, Unapologetic, And hateful 1) We don't do exchanges or refunds or returns straight up, letting us know they were not going to do anything. At this point, we are irate seeing they absolutely DID NOT CARE why we were upset by their mistake. They treated my niece who is a lawyer like trash thinking she was about to steal watermelon from them before we bought. So the treatment was worse when asking them to correct their mistake. There was no apology! It was "Give them people the watermelon and get them out of my shop" Just short of the "n" word and don't come back which we will gladly OBLIGE!!! Racism at its finest. She's the most tactful unrude person there is. She's a lawyer, and she knows how to speak with you without raising a Voice and without being rude. That is not her demeanor. Why people go out there way to treat those who are not their kind rudely is beyond comprehension. They went out of their way to berate, belittle, and talk down to us like he is God (owner). It was traumatizing. Oh, the Lady, we spoke to would say she was very respectful. She started out with a harsh, We don't do refunds, We're not exchanging. We don't do that, But I'll call my boss. At that point. My mother was irate and cursed at her, as I got rude once we Realized they weren't gonna do anything at that point things got real. As a retailer, they should understand that when you're coming in with a complaint, that's not the first thing you say to them: We're not doing anything. It was bad Customer service all the way around, but I have a feeling had we been Latino we would have been received differently. This grocery store has so much healthy finds for my lifestyle and diet. I was impressed. I even noticed some items that were cheaper than my local Whole Foods in Lakewood. I will go out of my way to shop here moving forward. I love the intimacy of this place. The produce is abundant and fresh which is much appreciated. They have a variety of offerings. It would be nice if they offered ground turkey and Hero Bagels so I didn't need to venture out. My only issue was not being able to find spices so I had to stop somewhere else for it. All in all, great first experience here. And I love the reward/point system that have going on.
