Great local spot. Inexpensive and friendly staff. Delicious selection of fruit. Easy parking.

The chamoyada I ordered was so tasty and fresh. They had so many options and you can see the fruit they use. I bought some fruit too and it was relatively cheap. The people working there were helpful and nice. read more

The customer service is great, their fruit is so delicious and fresh:)!!!! One of my favorite fruteria spots!

idk why this place has such low reviews. i got quite a few different things and it was all delicious. prices are reasonable too. no issues with cleanliness. don't let the low reviews dissuade you from going. it's a great spot. read more

Wasn't as enjoyable as I expected, the lady at the front was rude to a man that was standing in line. Also found the oranges with mold on it, as well as the mangos they're really dry. Wouldn't recommend to take time out of the day to visit this place. read more

Prices are outrageous, ladys are rude, and they refused to service a man that was the only one standing in line. Fruit is dry and all the fruits on display are rotten. read more

Mango Sticks, Fresas con Crema, Elotes, Churros, Raspados and my all time fave: Mangonadas! My mouth just re-watered :) Don't drive by this diamond in the rough without stopping in. They have a big selection of Aguas and fruits as well. It isn't the prettiest place to walk in but you definitely feel a little excitement when you gaze up at that huge menu with pictures galore. I'll continue rolling in to pick up Horchata, Mangonadas and Cacahuates Japoneses. read more

Fruteria Cano - Mangonada - Fruits & Veggies Near Me - Dallas, Texas

This is a great neighborhood spot! I stopped in on a hot day for a mangonada. There were tons of other options- fruit plates, smoothies, and more. I am not fluent in Spanish and was afraid I'd bother the workers by not speaking Spanish, but the girl who took my order was bilingual. Great prices, friendly service. Will definitely be back! read more

I went to this place to try their fruits and offerings for the first time. The service stuff was nice and try to take care of everybody as soon as possible. One of us had the chocolate covered strawberries, But it was very interesting that behind the chocolate there were soggy strawberries that look like they were passed their time. They ran out of ice so Plan B was to make snowcones out of ice from the ice machine. We ordered several things and I can honestly tell you that I tried every single one of them and none of them looked appealing to me, simply poor quality presentation n flavor less. read more

God bless this place. Best fruteria in Dallas and if I dare say in the Dallas area. The fruit is never old and disgusting and the staff is friendly. If you don't speak Spanish don't fret they speak enough English to be delightful. Speaking Spanish helps because they are surprised if you aren't Hispanic looking and they appreciate you and smile a bit more. Prices are good enough and I've never had a complaint and I will come here over and over again to get my Texanita Grande. 5 fruits soaked in cream and granola (.50 extra?). Anyway this place is rarely packed so it's easy to get in and out and they take card and cash. Want a delicious fruit dessert that isn't too heavy then fruteria Cano is the place to be. read more

I'm a fan. Tucked away in a strip center off Zang Blvd, this little fruteria is a bit hidden. Do not be dismayed by the exterior! When you walk in, everything is written in espanol - again, do not be afraid! The ladies behind the counter speak some english, and after living in Texas, you should try to learn some common spanish words. The aguas frescas is a fruit drink, blended with some sugar and water to quench your thirst! It is so very refreshing. It comes in two sizes, but the larger size is only 50 cents more and you get ALOT. As such, I always opt for the larger size, it's an amazing value. You can blend different fruits together such as mango/pineapple or get a horchata, a yummy rice milk and cinnamon drink. Either way, this place is super convenient to my apartment and I frequent it once a week. They also see fresh whole fruit and other assorted drinks (e.g. smoothies) - but my 'go to' is always the aguas frescas. Oh, and they also accept credit cards! Though i feel a bit silly charging $2.50 for a drink. read more

Absolutely loved this Place. It's clean and quick service We were visiting Dallas and staying at a hotel downtown I tried a 5 fruit plate and let me tell you they fill that sucker up! The fruit is fresh and the chili limón and chamoy is on point. Over the week we tried a Rusa which is very tasty and we tried a sangria which was delicious We will definitely continue to visit on our next visit to Dallas - highly recommend this place ! read more

bad service, drinks were prepared horribly 75 % chile and chamoy and 25% actual drink lady seemed in a not great mood seemed mad at me for asking questions will not go again read more

The Variety of things they have is great and so are the prices but the employees are not. The Guy who served was Really careless and somewhat Rude. Train your employees to have less attitude. The service is what makes the visit pleasant. read more

bad service, the lady was rude. the fruit wasn't the best and they added too much chamoy and didn't fill my cup all way.

Good place to come get your fix of ice cream, raspados, aguas frescas, fruta fresca or tostilocos. Huge variety of items in the menu, its almost overwhelming. The prices are pretty good and the service is fast. Only reason im giving this a four is because of their cleanliness. There always seems to be dirty tables and trash on the floor. read more

Their fruit is always fresh, I love the cream they put on the fruit bowls! Their aguas frescas are perfect for a summer day. I go back and try to get something different but i stick with my fresh fruit with crema. read more

Love this place! There's so many options, I want to order it all and sometimes do. Fruta con crema is the safe choice for the less daring. But if you like spicy and sweet together, go all out and try a mangonada, diablito, or russa. I recommend La Gripe jugo especial when you have a sore throat. read more

I love this place with all my chola heart. If you are ever running late to a party and dont have anything to bring stop by this place to pick up some fresh cut fruit. The prices here are very reasonable. And it's not just your usual grapes and watermelon. Sometimes they have fresh pomegranate and coconut! I usually get the big container of fruit which only costs about $6.00 and I always have stuff leftover. Be sure to ask for limes! The fruit is so fresh that if you have any leftovers, the fruit will spoil. They also have aguas frescas which are amazing. Sandia (watermelon) is my favorite. Besides fruit, this place also has a wide selection of produce, a freezer of paletas (ice cream), raspas (snowcones), and even slices of cake you can purchase such as tres leches and a really delicious looking chocolate one. Another thing I love about Fruteria Cano: this place is always so chilly. It's a great getaway in the summer. Plus the place smells so good as you walk in. Delicioso! read more

I am also giving this place 5 whole stars. Like Chola said, this is a fruit market. They have a big cooler filled with chopped fresh fruit. Get the large and you choose up to 5 fruits to put in it. Seriously it weighs like 4 pounds and costs less than the $6 Chola mentioned! I love papaya and mango! They even have 'tuna' when in season (nopales to you gringos!). PLUS if you're looking for THE cheapest produce in town, here it is! Just the other day, Roma tomatos were 50 cents a pound! Man ya gotta buy some at that price! In addition to the aguas frescas which are already made, you can custom order whatever you want, either as a liquado, or an agua. They are happy to make it for you. I was surprised the other day when I was in there, there was a gringo and I thought I was going to have to translate, but in fact the cashier spoke perfect English. I had never even tried! Check this place out Yelpers! Especially if you live in The Cliff! read more

So they can't sell Tostilocos to go. (Chips & fruit & Cueritos on the side) So they automatically went from a bigger sale to a small sale. We got Esquite (Elote en Vaso) Ingredients listed are "Butter, mayo, chile" we got it with sour cream.... Went back and asked if they added sour cream and they said yes I told them the menu doesn't state it has sour cream so I wanted a new one with no sour cream got a new one with lots of extra chile. It's almost red like a fire truck. I don't know if she overdid it or was upset that I had her redo it. read more

I come here any other time to get those delicious tortas de jamon which are as delicious as they are valued priced. Other options here are also great and the place is clean with great service from employees. Wish they had nachos but I am fine as it is either way. I will keep visiting. read more

Walked in and there was a line.. the workers were busy helping out others but it was kinda chaotic. If you're not sure what you want step back and make a decision. Otherwise you will be invisible and they will skip you. I got 3 mangonadas smoothie type for $5.50 each. The drinks had way too much syrup and chili! The drinks weren't made fresh bc I saw her scoop them out of a bucket... The fruits look mediocre and some of them didn't look good. I like fruteria Cano in Richardson better than this one. read more
