I come here on a weekly basis. I get my fruits and vegetables very fresh and last longer than grocery stores. Prices are better and quality is a lot better than stores. The customer service is always good. I get greeted all the time. I know all the faces in the store. And they keep it clean all the time. Always stocked with fresh produce.

This is a neat spot. The groceries here are seemingly always cheaper than typical grocery stores like H-E-B and central market. The only catch is that you really need to search the produce. There are lots of items that are already wilting or are too ripe. The workers were efficient both in restocking and checking people out, the are friendly but busy as well. The environment is not the best. It's in a rough part of town and the market is in an old factory or something. This place served its purpose of selling cheaper groceries, but with that comes a run down part of town, and not the best produce.

An absolutely amazing spot!!! I got so much for the low low price of $50! I'll definitely go back on the regular.

I really enjoy the prices here, the parking is not so great, they have a small area of grass they should consider making it a parking lot. The staff is really great, I enjoy the encounters with cashiers or venders in line. It's decently cool inside the facility, it's fairly clean. The produce looks and tastes real. It beats mainstream grocery shopping.

Prices are really fair. Fruits fresh and they keep this place clean. I made a mistake of coming on a Saturday before lunch, it was chaotic. there were so many people there. I didnt get to roam around, just got some fruits and left. there are also an aqua frescas vendor and taco vendor in the front. I have not tried because it was so chaotic in a small space. I will come on a different day to try them next time. The parking situation is sketchy. The roads are full of potholes and they are near an old train track. Unsure if train still goes through there. They should request the city to patch the pavement.

In this economy, we have to be more resourceful on where is it that we're gonna buy our produce and this place definitely is a place to visit. The prices are fantastic. Plenty of street parking visiting my first time and definitely will not be my last.

Be prepared to deal with a crowd after lunch. Great place but check your produce as I found a few that weren't the best

My sister came to visit from out of state. I was raving about the Dallas Farmer's Market. How…read moregreat it was, how you could find the best fruits and vegetables from friendly vendors. Thing is, I hadn't been down here for a couple years. Boy was I wrong. There is no more Dallas Farmer's Market. It's gone, given way to high end residential apartments and artisan craft things paired with wine shops that my daughter calls "Parlors of tipsy housewives." Fortunately for me, I happened to catch a glimpse of the Sweet Harvest Shed out of the corner of my eye as I was leaving with great disappointment from the "Farmer's Market." I found the Sweet Harvest Shed. Thank God! We got everything I came for! The fruits, veggies, coffee, nuts, jams, salsas. Everything that used to be in that other place! Skip the farmer's market. Go here instead.

what we thought were 2 yellow watermelons for $18 EACH…read more When we got home (35 min. drive) one of them was red center but we paid of course for yellow center, my mother doesn't drive so we went back a day later with a third of watermelon because family members ate a portion. Mind you, you don't know what color it is until you cut into it which they wanted the whole watermelon returned which we returned a 1/3 at which they stated: then stated they should give us a 1/3 yellow watermelon back. Fine then they should pay for my gas for1 hr. Round trip and MY TIME AND THE DISTRESS to correct WHAT THEY WRONGFULLY SCREWED UP which till this day they never apologized for. I'm truly thinking at this point that they did it on purpose knowing we probably didn't live there and it's just assume we would not bring it back. They were extremely cold, Unapologetic, And hateful 1) We don't do exchanges or refunds or returns straight up, letting us know they were not going to do anything. At this point, we are irate seeing they absolutely DID NOT CARE why we were upset by their mistake. They treated my niece who is a lawyer like trash thinking she was about to steal watermelon from them before we bought. So the treatment was worse when asking them to correct their mistake. There was no apology! It was "Give them people the watermelon and get them out of my shop" Just short of the "n" word and don't come back which we will gladly OBLIGE!!! Racism at its finest. It is not hidden in any manor. They smile when you buy which is why the black guy is there so they don't have to deal with you or they assume you are there to steal. Oh, the claimed my niece Who they thought was a thief, two days before. Went back to speak to them the day before we returned to exchange the watermelon, and claimed that she was rude to them. She's the most tactful unrude person there is. She's a lawyer, and she knows how to speak with you without raising a Voice and without being rude. That is not her demeanor. Why people go out there way to treat those who are not their kind rudely is beyond comprehension. They went out of their way to berate, belittle, and talk down to us like he is God (owner). It was traumatizing. Oh, the Lady, we spoke to would say she was very respectful. She started out with a harsh, We don't do refunds, We're not exchanging. We don't do that, But I'll call my boss. At that point. My mother was irate and cursed at her, as I got rude once we Realized they weren't gonna do anything at that point things got real. As a retailer, they should understand that when you're coming in with a complaint, that's not the first thing you say to them: We're not doing anything. It was bad Customer service all the way around, but I have a feeling had we been Latino we would have been received differently. Hopefully your treatment will be met with kindness if there is in issue. They are great at taking your money happily. Anyway, Isn't taking back food, a code violation of some sort?

There are other vendors who come and go, but I frequently see beautiful handmade goods that make fantastic gifts. Another bonus is the food court indoors in the diagonally-adjacent block. Great place to meet friends and let everybody pick what they want to eat. On the last visit, I chose the pizza and was blown away by it. The Vietnamese place is a close second. The farmers market is hellishly hot midday in the summer, despite having a high shade structure. My biggest complaint, though, is the lack of parking. It continues to shrink yearly. Be prepared to spend some time looking for a parking space or possibly dropping a wad on a surface lot. I was shocked to pay $18.50 for a 2 1/2 hour visit. If you do use this expensive lot between the food hall and the restaurant, be prepared to utilize your phone to pay, and choose a short amount of time. You can always extend your visit with their app, but if you overestimate your length of stay, you can't get money back.

One of the weekends each month they do food products only, and the other Saturday it's kind of an open fair thing where anyone can go so you'll get people who make all sorts of things. We're particularly partial to the local meats from Windy Hill because they are always delicious. This lady from Waggin' Tail treats comes there a lot too and she makes the best dog treats ever. Also there's a company that brings fresh pasta called Lucido's Produce & Herbs which is phenomenal. They even have frozen ravioli in all kinds of flavors which are omgtodiefor. The vendors either take cash or check. You can get cash from inside the gas station, the cashier will do it for you for a $2 charge (like an ATM). It's in the parking lot of the Green Spot Market & Fuels, which also has probably the best taco place in Dallas (Good 2 Go Taco). Awesome! Super cute local market in Lakewood!…read more I think the term "farmers market" is a misnomer since there was only an itty bitty selection of produce and fresh foods. What they do offer is lots of local products like baked goods, soaps, salsas and unique crafts. I love supporting small, local businesses so this market is right up my alley. I copped some yummy French macaroons and a spicy marinade that I can't wait to try with some fish for dinner. It's small and the location changes every other week so be sure to check their website before you head out. I would definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area but I would not make a special trip or anything.
