Kroger is my very favorite grocer. I hardly shop for groceries elsewhere. In over three decades as a Kroger customer, this has never occurred to me before at any Kroger store I have shopped at. I approached the self-checkout kiosk to begin scanning my groceries. I noticed a paper coupon that had been spit from the kiosk's mini printer was left by a previous customer. I removed the coupon from the printer. Before I had a chance to determine whether it was a promotional coupon or Kroger information printout, the Kroger self-checkout attendant, routinely known for her domineering disposition snatched the coupon from my hand, tore it to shreds and deposited the pieces in the trash container. The employee claimed that the printed paper coupon was tied to another customer's Kroger account. I did some investigating by engaging a session with a Kroger chat agent as well as with Kroger customer telephone support representative. Kroger addresses promotional codes being non-transferable but there is no written policy in reference to printed coupons. I routinely receive Kroger paper coupons in the mail. When I have Kroger coupons I do not intend to redeem, I courteously leave those coupons next to their appropriate items within Kroger stores for other Kroger shoppers to use. I have never had a Kroger employee stop me from doing this. There is no Kroger policy prohibiting this practice. Employees such as the one I unpleasantly encountered during this occurrence are a liability to Kroger, not a benefit. I sympathize with a store manager who must deal with the routine consequences of such callous and unprofessional behavior. read more

On February 3, 2026, at approximately 2:10 PM, I visited a Kroger store to make a purchase. I want to begin by noting that I was very pleased with the food offerings and pricing, including the fried chicken, sushi, and fresh fruit selections. Unfortunately, my experience at the self-checkout was concerning and prompted me to reach out. While completing my purchase, an employee working the self-checkout area approached to verify my identification for a beverage purchase. I presented my ID as requested. The employee insisted on physically holding my ID card, stating it was store policy so she could determine whether it was real. After I showed my ID and put it away, she asked to see it again because the birth date had been entered incorrectly. During this second request, she attempted to take the ID from my hand in a forceful manner. I found this interaction embarrassing, uncomfortable, and a clear disregard for my personal space. I have been a loyal Kroger customer for many years and spend a significant amount annually at your stores, so this experience was especially disappointing. I fully understand the importance of ID verification; however, I do not believe it is necessary for an employee to physically take a customer's wallet or ID, nor to handle the situation in a way that feels accusatory or aggressive. I respectfully ask that this incident be reviewed and that your team be reminded of appropriate customer service standards. read more

Out of root beer, cream soda, and grape soda! This is my local grocery store. It is a nice place but it sure is no HEB. They had spray on sale... 12pks... but you have to be come a Kroger member to get the sale. Doesn't cost anything just scan and get a card, but I know I'll never remember the card! Why not just give the sale? Then on top of that they were out of every type we drink accept sprite and orange. Oh well... I guess I'm being to complainy... it is a nice location... We walked in and someone was mopping, but there was no wet floor sign to be seen. Lawsuit waiting to happen!! Shelves were bare, boxes strewn about... wow. This Kroger was my home Kroger when I moved the States 20 years ago. Living in Alpharetta, I used to frequent here all the time. Now I just come here whenever I'm in the area as I do love Alpharetta and I'm in the city quite often. It's your typical Kroger -- nothing too fancy about it; it does have everything you need. Throughout the years, things did change and get rearranged but everything generally stayed the same so it's nice to know that you'll find everything exactly the way you found it. This location does have a Starbucks and quite spacious room - When Kroger used to close at 1am pre-COVID, that place was the perfect place to study late night but now they close early so it's not ideal but still nice! read more

It is surprising that people will still shop here. This Kroger is in a very decent part of town and it is definitely not up to par. There is only self checkout available, especially at night. There are no shelves to put your groceries on and the stupid machine is blaring, "attendant needed"! The store is not very clean and the shelves were in places. Overall, not a good experience. If this had been my first time in a Kroger, I would have been greatly disappointed. When we walked in the door, there was someone mopping and blocking our way. I know messes need to be cleaned up, but you could block that door while cleaning, and only allowed the other doors to be opened. Also, there was no 'wet floor' sign up anywhere to be seen. The store itself had a lot of empty, barren shelves. I'm used to Kroger being much cleaner, and this experience was a little shocking considering our usual experience at Kroger locations. read more

Never coming back to this Kroger. So I always collect my coins weekly, so that I can go to Krogers and use the CoinStar. After I turn in my coins and collect my voucher, I use it at the register towards my purchase. This is what I attempted today, only to find out that I can't use it at the register. Cashier said and I quote, "I can't use that here. You should have told me ahead of time. You have to cash that out". Attitude was very condescending. Keep in mind that I've always done this at almost every Kroger that I have been to. So much so, that I thought it was just what Kroger does. So after having that rude encounter. I called to speak to the manager. The manager was also very condescending and told me that Kroger (the company) is not supposed to do it that way. It is told to them in training that the voucher is supposed to be cashed out first. And every other Kroger I've ever been to is wrong. Very nonchalantly and arrogant, as if he couldn't care less. Sad to say he was probably just taking up for the employee, and couldn't care less about me as a customer. In fact, he act as if I was a bother. The worst customer service experience ever. Thanks. This is my favorite Kroger out of all in the area. The produce is fresh, and most of the employees are great. They also seem to have a decent selection of organic produce which is important to me. Also, I had a problem with fruit flies from other Kroger's, and I have never had that problem shopping here. Sometimes the deli is very slow and not super friendly, but that doesn't deter us from shopping here! Overall this is a great place to shop! read more

Very nice neighborhood grocery store. They have many items I have never seen at some other Kroger locations. The store is clean, bright and well organized with excellent customer service. It's 1/20/2021 it was 11:50. Walked up to the door of Kroger as the Spanish lady was letting someone out the door. As I'm about to walk through the door to return a Redbox disc the door was shut in my face. I said ma'am I'm just trying to return this to the Redbox box. It's 10 minutes before you close. She looked at her watch and walked away. This isn't right at all. I spend hundreds of dollars a week at this Kroger. I feel disrespected and it's against policy not to let a customer in the door when your not even closed yet. I will be looking for a store manager to contact me about this issue here on Yelp then I will delete this comment Kroger. read more

They don't call it the Cougar Kroger for nothing. Despite the upgrade, it's still inferior to Publix. It's okay in a pinch.

I went into the Kroger pharmacy today to pick up my medications out as I do once or twice a month, and Found that the quantity of several medication was incorrect. I always get 90 day supply and these were 30, explain this to employee YUVIA Who immediately told me that they were short staffed, and that was the reason. I asked if I could wait for the correct medication of you filled and she immediately told me that again there is short staff and I will not be able to pick it up till 4 PM, I told her that it was not easy for me to get down there and she really said "well would you like to switch your medication's to a closer location? I may add in a condescending manner, I did not appreciate this, and to be honest with you it made me become very angry. there was a manager sitting 5 feet away, who is listening to the whole conversation, and did nothing to intervene or make things better. Throughout my conversation With YUVIA, she kept a stone like expression and spoke in a Robotic tone. Not attempting to make my life easier or have empathy for my situation. She again stated that my meds would not be ready until 4 PM, she handed me the medication after I paid. No thank you from her at all either did say you're welcome. Terrible service from her and I hope to acquire another pharmacy so I don't have to deal with this aggravation again. read more

The employees are forced to wear gloves at this Kroger which is strongly discouraged by ID professionals and CDC. Germs accumulate on gloves, sanitizer is not used due to gloves, higher viral load when touching face etc. Please stop giving yourself a false sense if security when you are actually increasing risk read more

I love my Kroger. I've been shopping here for 10 years and while things aren't always perfect, the staff is honest, hardworking, and they do their best to ensure a satisfactory shopping experience. I visit this store at least twice a week and find fresh produce, plenty of sales, and all of the staples I need to feed my family. My wife prefers Publix but this particular Kroger is worth tugging my side of the war. read more

I usually prefer Publix, but if Im in a hurry I come here cause I can run myself through the check yourself out things and get out fast. However, they have cleaned this store up in the past few years. It used to be a dirty store, you could just tell walking in it felt like the store was covered in dust and all sorts of other stuff. But once they realized they were driving customers away to Publix across the street they cleaned up. I definitely do like the deli area they have now. I come to this Kroger several times a month, and not just because it's the closest grocery store to where I live. The Kroger company in general has evolved over the past few years to cater more towards people who want to eat healthier, but not spend a fortune. I love and trust the "Simple Truth" and "Simple Truth Organic" brands Kroger carries. Not only are the brands are transparent, simple (go figure), and cost-effective, but there are so many food and drink products to choose from. For these reasons, I choose to shop at the Kroger company over most other competitors. This Kroger location in particular is great because it's at a convenient location, it has a gas station, it has a Starbucks, and it employs several outstanding employees who make an effort to get to know regular customers. The store is kept clean and it's pretty easy to navigate through the aisles. Because of this Kroger's location, it's regularly BUSY - especially on the weekends! It's not uncommon for there to be few carts and zero sanitizing wipes left when you first walk in. If you go late in the day on weekends, you might find that items on your list will be out of stock. I would suggest going on Tuesdays or Wednesdays if you can swing it. That's when there tends to be the most fresh products in stock. Also, the lines to check out can get lonnnng. But, despite the busyness and crowds, I remain a loyal customer of this Kroger! read more

I always enjoy the Kroger Fresh Spinach Quiche, but the Haynes Bridge Road location does not not have it anymore, and, obviously, they are are trying to promote the "Spinach Florentine Quiche" which is more expensive and has no taste at all! I come here all the time for basics and then for anything nice I go to Fresh Market or Publix. Today I was told "we don't cut chickens anymore" - just trying to make a crock pot chicken soup for sick kiddos. Not all that fancy. And then when I looked down and realized my umbrella was missing from the bottom of my cart, I got NO help until I walked the aisles myself and begged for a manager. This is one of the more upscale Kroger's that I have seen in and around the Atlanta area. This store has it all...a couple of different salad bars, a place to get custom made submarine sandwiches and a really nice fresh seafood area (which was the reason I stopped in there). This store reminded me of a Publix and that's a compliment coming from me, LOL. We had been out house hunting prior to this and this Kroger made such a good impression on us that we decided to check out some homes in this area because these are the types of stores that we want to live next to. I frequently use this location only to be disappointed. For the simple fact that they never have enough cashiers or anyone to get carts. At this very moment there are 2 cashiers and one person getting a parking lot full of carts. It is disheartening for the employees. They are always so nice but stretched to their limit. read more

A good Kroger with a great remodeling job. Used to look pretty old, but they did a good job of renovating it. Not as big as nice as some of the newer Krogers, but still gets the job done and always has what you need. Love the gas station and racking up fuel points with each purchase, so I usually prefer Kroger regardless. read more

Let's see - where to begin. First of all, one of the grocery pick up guys, the one named Trey, was blocking the aisle forever and as I passed him, it was obvious the front of his pants are ripped and the child doesn't wear underwear. Nice hygiene, Kroger - not to mention absolutely disgusting. Nowhere in this store is there even an attempt to social distance. No one is cautious - not the employees stocking shelves - they roll their eyes as if annoyed that one demands at least 4ft of separation. Every aisle was a negotiation with people, both employees and customers, who don't care to follow the social distancing guidelines. Then on the way out, I find that after spending $450 on groceries, the bag dude didn't even put my tomatoes away safely, and they fall out everywhere on the floor. Can't trust your curbside delivery service even to be hygienic. Can't trust that I'm safe going into the store. Failing grade, Kroger. Publix and Fresh Market for the win. read more

This Kroger is always neat and clean. The customer service desk is especially courteous and professional. It ian't the closest Kroger to me but I come here any way because it is my favorite of the 3 Kroger's near me. My only complaint is they allow too much solicitation of donations, and people selling things to hang out from harassing customers as they come and go. I really don't like that at all. read more

Please teach your employees how to sack groceries. I brought in a bunch of reusable bags- at least 6 cloth ones and a few paper ones. The lady put all my groceries into the paper bags, not even using the ample cloth ones available. When I got to my car, they were way too heavy and the bags tore. All of them. When I got home, my peaches, lettuce and avocado were smashed at the bottom. I have two small children so it it very inconvenient for me to go back up there to remedy the situation. If I could give a rating of 0 I would! I am absolutely mortified with your company!! I was completely humiliated at the Haynes Bridge/Old Alabama Kroger in Johns Creek, Ga (3000 Old Alabama Rd. 30022). I'm a first time young mom to my 4 month old son. I use WIC vouchers because my husband and I don't make enough to get by these days. Well I went to use the vouchers for formula and not a single cashier knew how to use them and sent me to customer service after I had already unloaded my cart of 10 cans of formula onto the conveyer belt. It was so embarrassing to have to get out of the line when there was people in front and behind me. So then we get to customer service and there is not a person to be found. Then the original cashier who's line I was in before, said "it's okay ma'am I'll take care of you." Oh. Ok. I thought you didn't know how...? She was in the middle of checking a customer out so we ended up leaving and going to Publix instead where, as usual, the service was perfect and they took care of us very quickly and easily, no issues. Needless to say, I will never be getting my groceries or WIC items from Kroger again. So disappointing. I literally left the store in tears. Just a mom trying to provide for her baby. Then we tried calling the customer service line and got hung up on TWICE. And on top of that, since their recent remodel, they no longer carry the only bottled juice that is eligible on my WIC voucher (48 oz Juicy Juice Apple Juice). read more

This store has stocking issues. I can't tell you how many times I have found empty shelves. If you're looking for a sale item, chances are they ran out and it's NEVER re-stocked before the sale ends. While getting one of my many rain checks, I mentioned this to the store manager. Her response was "try coming at a different time." The thing is, I've shopped this store on many different days and hours and it just doesn't matter. I also agree with another poster about packing groceries. I always bring in reusable bags, minimum of 4. Many times they put all the groceries into one bag making it extremely heavy and damaging the more fragile items like bread and fruit. I just moved to the area and I've been told that Kroger's is known for better prices and the "other store" across the street is known for better customer service. read more
