Really mediocre fried chicken overall. It looks the part, but once you bite in, there's just no flavor inside. The seasoning doesn't penetrate, so it ends up tasting pretty bland unless you rely on the outside. Honestly, Jollibee does it better, more flavor, juicier, and actually satisfying. Big downside is you can't even order individual pieces here, which makes it harder to just try it out or build your own combo. I've grabbed fried chicken from a different location of Krispy Krunchy Chicken, but this was my first time visiting the location on San Felipe at Aborn. I ordered a 3 piece with biscuit and almost bought their special for 5 wings, but those were smaller, sauced wings, not the whole-sized wings. I ended up buying 2 whole wings in addition to my 3 pieces. As I remember from the other location, the crust was as the namesake described, crispy. It also had a slight kick of spiciness. I'm a wimp with delicate taste buds. ha ha! If you're in the area, don't let the fact that Krispy Krunchy Chicken is sold inside a gas station. It's worth buying. Try it! read more

Not going to lie - this review 5/5 is solely for the blue berry honey biscuit they give as part of the chicken combo. Considering the brand is sold out of gas stations, it's on par/relative to Popeyes chicken. This location was located in a Circle K gas station that was really clean and nice Chicken tenders 4/5 - they were juicy, moist and were a good size. The only wish I had was a thicker more crunchy skin. Blue berry biscuit 110000/5. In the moment when I first tried the biscuit I thought it was good. Love this krispy krunchy chicken! I know some might feel weird about it coming from a gas station, but its worth a try. It has a clean taste with the meat halal and the biscuits they sell are tasty as well. Sometimes could be a little on the dry crispy side but so delicious when fresh. Went looking for some fried chicken. This place came up with decent reviews. My fault that I didn't really read the reviews. The place is located in a gas station. The chicken come frozen and is heated in a convection oven(think giant air fryer). The lady took my order and placed it in a paper bag. By the time I got home the bag had grease stains.You can tell that they injected spices and other juices into the meat . There was orange coloring inside the thigh meat. Calling this fried chicken is like calling 7-11 nachos gourmet Mexican food. The only positive is it's a lot cheaper than KFC. Not worth even taking pictures. read more

I don't know how they do it but their chicken is always juicy with a crispy deep fry. I can't say anything positive or negative about the service. Wish they had more sides to order. It was seasoned well, very crispy, and even had a little bit of spice to it. I kind of wish the fries were actually fries instead of potato wedgies. The honey butter biscuits were also better than I expected. I thought the prices were pretty good for the chicken and spices compared to other chicken places. I knocked off a star because I wished they gave free sauces like other places do (at least ketchup/hot sauce). Also because the guy doing our order didn't have his mask on all the way and it made me feel a little weird about him getting our food. KKC is pretty good fried chix, especially for chix sold out of a gas station. When you get it from this particular location, its always fresh & hot, with an ultra crisp crust, & juicy & tender interior. Service is sooo friendly, polite & quick. The negatives are that its quite salty - a lot of reviewers seem to think that the chicken is seasoned perfectly (are they referring only to the spices but excluding the salt?), but the salt level really gets to me. Its certainly saltier to me than KFC, Popeyes or Jollibee. Pro-tip - get the chix breast over dark or wings so there's a better ratio of super salty batter to meat. This location of Krispy Krunchy Chicken recently opened up and its sign piqued my interest since it's right at an intersection stoplight. A family meal of 12 pieces of mixed chicken, 6 piece chicken tenders, fries, and blueberry muffins came out to be roughly $28. Not a bad deal at all! The chicken pieces are large and full of crunch as well as flavor. The chicken is Cajun style - which I guess unfortunately is a bit too spicy for me personally. When biting into the chicken (both tenders and bone-in) you can see streaks of spice. I couldn't really tell if those streaks are hot sauce or Cayenne powder, but that stuff sure tingled my mouth. The rest of my family enjoyed the meal though without issues. If you couldn't tell, I'm pretty spicy-sensitive ;( If you like Cajun, you'll probably like the food. Anyway, the steak cut wedge fries are thick and well-seasoned. They pair perfectly with the honey mustard sauce. Overall, the price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. I was definitely a bit nervous after reading someone's review of finding a worm in their food, but didn't see anything creepy crawly in our order fortunately. Hi Habibi's, This place is halal! My mom loves this place. Its so funny because when we first pulled up she was not impressed at all. I finally had a chance to get Krispy Krunchy chicken, and boy it really hit the spot! I am a big fan of all types of fried chicken, so when this place opened up close to my house, I knew I had to check it out and try it. I got there around 2 pm and thankfully there wasn't much of a line to order the food. They do have 2 separate cashiers now one for Valero gas & a separate one to order the chicken. Once I got there, there was one person ahead of me which was perfect because it gave me some time to decide what to order. I ended up ordering: *12 piece dark chicken (it was for the fam, don't judge): the chicken was crispy and juicy, and every bite I really enjoyed. I didn't feel it was overly oily, and I can confirm the chicken was crunchy! *Mashed potatoes: this was pretty standard, I think I have had more flavorful gravy before though *Fries: I got the fries, and these were okay - some of the pieces were really big and it wasnt as crispy when I got it. I plan to throw the leftovers in the airfryer which will hopefully change that! * honey butter biscuit: I really enjoyed these. It seems less greasy than the KFC. And eating next day leftovers are still good. The fries are the steak type. Mine were very undercooked. The honey biscuit was also better than KFC. Halal food and local family-owned and operated business! I love fried chicken and I find myself coming back to buy the exact same thing (4 pcs chicken tenders, french fries and blueberry biscuits). I would say they have one of the best fried chicken and chicken tenders -even better than popeyes, carl's jr and kfc. They sell it inside the Circle K at the Valero. This place is pretty new and I was able to chat with one of the owners. She said that they didn't anticipate the high volume of customers so the wait times were pretty long and they ran out of a lot of items the first time I tried this place. I visited again for the 5th time yesterday and they have everything dialed-in now. Will come back and try the rest of their menu.
