For a gas station this place has really good chicken. The trick is getting there right after it's made but that isn't a hard stop. I have eaten here other times and it was still good. The sides are kinda bland but still edible. The biscuits... I haven't had a soft one yet but I can tell they'd be ok if fresh. OK, I've been to one of these restaurants out in Apache Junction and the chicken was amazing mashed potatoes. Everything was amazing. I went to this one on Ellsworth and Maine. It tasted like it was left over for a couple days. I understand it's gas station food, but my God have some respect for what you put in a bag. I got the four dollar lunch thing and had some two pieces of chicken and potato wedges.. have some respect in what you serve to the public chicken was barely recognizable chicken, and the potato wedges. Ordered through Uber eats (strips and family chicken meal). I should've known something was up when it only took 7 minutes for the driver to get my food and be on her way. Idk how long this stuff say under a heat lamp but it had to be a while. The strips are chicken jerky. The fries taste like they were friend yesterday and then reheated in the oven. Somehow the skin on the chicken was still slimy but the meat was dry as hell. Lastly are these biscuits. You could harm someone by throwing this biscuit at them. I ordered from here on Door Dash last night for the first time. I ordered the 12 peace dark chicken and while I enjoyed the taste, the chicken legs were not meaty like other places I order from. I also ordered the mash potatoes and gravy, expecting I would receive the potatoes in one container and the gravy in another, that was not the case, the potatoes were jammed in a container and the gravy on top in the same container, the gravy was spilling out of the container and created a mess with the other items in the bag. I ordered macaroni and cheese and biscuits and the Mac and cheese was ok, not great but not bad. The biscuits on the other hand were small and hard, not what I was expecting. Not sure if I will give this place another try or not, it appears to me that the biscuits are not changing and I look forward to getting the biscuits as much as I look forward to getting the chicken and other sides. read more

People! Let's keep it real. This is a franchised 4' steam table in a freakin' gas station, not some 100 year old homestyle chicken fryin' kitchen in the backwoods of Arkansas. While not a behemoth like McD they do have over 2300 locations in 41 states. Of course their stuff is trucked in, were you expecting maybe that they raised their baby chicks between the unleaded and diesel pumps? Service? Cleanliness? At a gas station? Nope, this place is pretty much the same as the chicken steam table at the deli counter at Safeway or Fry's. In my opinion it does have a few things working for it but also a few things working against it. In the plus column the pieces are bigger, juicier and crispier than the supermarket. Not so good are the prices but think about it, for what you get they are really about the same as Popeye's, KFC or those frozen Banquet boxes and in all honesty they are better than all three. I don't get complaining about the service, what are people expecting at a gas station? You get served by anybody who happens to be at the register handling gas purchases, six-packs of Budweiser and lotto tickets. Some may be friendly and some may have just come off of talking to some rude out of towner who just left them a bad review. All I'm saying is the chicken is better than average, nowhere near the best I've ever had, and the prices were right on the borderline of being so high I would never come back. Ordered online with the company's Menufy service an hour in advance. Showed up to pickup with a confirmation number, and they did not even have the order! Had to wait 10 minutes in the gas station to get the chicken & sides. (Incidentally, the order that I picked up was $3.00 more for 8 piece dark chicken than it was priced at if you just walked in and ordered face-to-face. That's ridiculous mark up for using a simplistic ordering platform that didn't connect with the store. ???) AND...no refund was offered for the jacked-up price! This is for the 757 S. Country Club Drive location in Mesa. I was looking for a good fried chicken other than the Popeyes, Church's and KFC and came here. Its the high reviews that brought me here and surprised that this convenience store has the best spicy chicken anywhere! I like they are bigger pieces than I find at those other chains, even the tenders! I got the family meal as I wanted to try a little of everything they had in a combo. Their biscuits are just as good and wedges were fresh. Also tried their $5 fish and shrimp basket. The shrimp was good but the fish not so much and needs some work and didn't get my biscuit. It's a shame there aren't more of KKC around but this is now my go-to place for fried chicken and tenders! read more

If you can get past the fact that the chicken comes from a gas station, then you really need to try this place. The chicken has such an amazing flavor! While I don't care for the honey biscuits (simply don't like honey on a biscuit), everyone else I know loves the biscuits. Love the chicken tenders over any other fast food chicken location. I wouldn't know if their chicken is any good because I never tried it. I go in, and im greeted by two employees who aren't wearing any face covering of any sort. The chicken is behind a window that is not covered, exposed to open air. I just turned around and left the place. I asked him why n he said it was for verification, which I've never had a merchant ask me my full name before. I found it peculiar, do I checked my Groupon 2 days later. You just messed up big time. I was super excited to try this place as I like a deal and chicken that are fingers that are good. Well, I just moved to this area and have ordered from here four times. First time, fine. Second time, the girl was awesome and friendly. Third time, the guy was super cool and sweet. Fourth time, the rudest hispanic lady ruined my entire experience and I will never return and encourage everyone to go anywhere else for chicken or anything else period. She was training an older lady and the younger of the two hispanic women asked me if I wanted any sauce. As the usual past orders, I said, "yes! Three sweet and sours please". She showed the older woman how to ring me up and she instructed the lady to charge me for every sauce each at $0.49 each. I know it sounds petty but when you get a five dollar meal and have an additional $1.50 added just because the chick wanted too and saw I was paying with cash it is absolutely ridiculous. I asked for only one sauce and she still charged me for one!! I was not only disappointed but appalled. I went over to Burger King and got a ten piece chicken nugget for $1.49 and asked for extra sweet and sour, they GAVE me five. I get home and have Four, yes FOUR fries, hard chicken and thank goodness I had the nuggets from Burger King because the over old Krispy stingy chicken food went in the trash and so did their reputation. Never again. The worst and rudest service and the worst and old food with four freaking fries. What a joke. I am still pissed off :( read more

Holy cow! The chicken is amazing, juicy. Perfectly fried. And the biscuits are to die for. I will go back often!
