The honey garlic and the honey butter are both good (a good combo on the sandwich too). Fries are always bomb. I think they would do well with a better bun and toppings but still a really good sandwich. A Laurel favorite and after church go-to. Grilled chicken and fried chicken wraps are also good. Food takes a little long... And service isn't the most friendly. Several tables to sit at and the place is clean but we always just eat in the car. (Who doesn't love a good car meal?)

All have been 3-4 stars (even the ones I hadn't reviewed). A friend claimed she got food poisoning from the Wheaton Mall location, which surprised me as the food quality is high, but maybe that location fell short. I prefer some other locations over Wheaton Mall one. As for the Laurel location, this one is my favorite, and I've been somewhat often. I've never had any significant issue with them. The food quality is great. I'll get a 1/4 or 1/2 chicken with 2 sides like redskin mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, corn, fries, bread, etc. Staff is relatively nice here. I talked to the manager a couple of times about a couple of minor things, and manager is good here. One time in July 2025, I went for Mandela Day, and it was a madhouse as it was a free 1/4 chicken with fries. I was patient as I waited a while as they had dozens of people wanting the free chicken that Friday evening. My girlfriend was sadly ill that weekend; so I bon appetited on my own. Nando's reward program got worse; so I'm less motivated to schlep to Laurel just to get Nando's. However, if I was going to go with Nando's, I'd go with this one as Arundel Mills let me down last time. Service & food is always top notch at the Laurel location.

My first visit was great! The fish was crispy and hot. I even ate some of the fries. The second time I patronized this location it was through food delivery and when the food arrived the fish was warm however the coating was falling off. And this wasn't from the transit to me it was how it was prepared. However on this occasion, they gave me the wrong type of fish and when I called back to inform them, they could barely understand what I was conveying and I was met with an attitude over the phone. I ended up just asking him to prepare me the two piece fish dinner and placed the order anyway. When we went in to switch the food out, I handed the shorter latino guy who's always there, my original box which had two and a half pieces of fish, since I ate a half piece of one of the fillets before realizing it wasn't what I had ordered. I was confused at first because I thought maybe it was what I ordered until I continued to eat it and then inspected it and realized it wasn't. He quickly took out the two pieces of fish from the new box which sat upon the bagging area and gave that to me . . . just empty by itself instead of replacing the fries or any of my other sides that came along with my dinner like he was doing me a favor. I'm just realizing this now and it upsets me even more: he shouldn't have been handling my food at all PERIOD! He works in the front and puts in the sauces as well as takes calls and orders from people who walk into the restaurant. I wasn't expecting it to be as spicy as it was, but that's a good thing! I expected the sweetness to take over, but it was a great balance in my opinion! The texture of the chicken was on point too. I have no complaints about the rice & peas, steamed cabbage and corn bread (the tiny tiny piece it was, lol). The plantain could've been fried just a little longer, but it still tasted great. I find that the Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken Jr. sando is a nice size mid-day meal, with chicken that is almost 50% larger than the bun! The way they spice it, the heat builds up, so shoot a little bit below your first taste and it'll build up to a nice warmth. There is a nice layer of slaw that cools the spice a little bit. And a pickle. I'm ok with the pickle slice, but for me, it's a distraction on a simply-dressed sandwich like this. I found this place tucked at the far end of a small easy-to-miss strip mall in Columbia MD. It wasn't busy, which is good because there isn't much parking in front, but you could also park on the other side. It's worth a short walk :-) Pro tip: Order ahead on their app, because they fry it fresh for you and it takes about five minutes. I do have a complaint about their app! On the way to the store, I tried for about five minutes to log into their app. Nothing worked. Not a reboot, not a change-password request. Nothing. The app knew that I have an account, but it just wouldn't let me in. I like their chicken, a lot, so I just drove here and waited the five minutes! First world, problems, I suppose. The fries with cheese seasoning were way better than I expected. Crisp, fresh, not too oily and the seasoning had a complementary sweet flavor that pairs really well with the sandwich. Everything had a hint of sweet, which seems odd to me but I think it's common in Korean dishes? At any rate, it was good. The Thai tea was ok. It had a hint of that Thai tea flavor but its stronger and better at other places.

And the first bite I felt like an influencer who got paid to give there opinion.
