We would order a donut and then the kid would say "is that all" when we had told him at the beginning we were ordering more than one donut. After each donut order - "is that all?" Krispy Kreme must be planning on shuttering it's doors. We have bought from KK for approximately 15 years. Every couple of months we visit family in Utah, and end up buying enough boxes to have while visiting, as well as take home to share at work. No longer. We went to the Riverdale store at 7:40 today, and oddly enough, the sign said it wouldn't open until 8 even though their website says 6am on Saturday (donuts are a breakfast food, not lunch). So we waited, along with about 15 other people. At 8, an employee comes and, instead of opening the damn door, puts another sign up that says they aren't opening until 9! No apologies or explanation. What an absolute disregard for customers, disgraceful way to run a business, and goddamn rude! When it comes down to it, they are just donuts. And not great donuts. Yes, it is cool you can watch them make them, yes it is cool you can get a little paper hat that says Krispy Kreme. Other than that you are getting marginally good donuts at extremely expensive prices ($12 a dozen). That's 2x-3x more than a dozen will cost you at the local grocery store bakery where they also make great donuts. This store also seems to have a lot of waste. Watching the donuts come off the line there were 5-10% of them that appeared extremely underdone. The clerk told me they fail to flip correctly and get tossed. Maybe higher food costs due to waste also drive up the price per dozen? Look, if you want to show off and take a box with a fancy logo to impress the folks at the meeting, these are your donuts. Closing time says 10pm got there at 9:30pm and the sign says drive through only, but there's cones blocking driveway and we tried curbside order but it wouldn't let us. I look inside and they're fully cleaning everything and it's clear they already have been cleaning for 15 minutes or so. Every time I've been to this location I've had a bad experience. They're out of almost all of the doughnuts (completely out of cake doughnuts and raspberry filled today) and look at how poorly made these doughnuts were. My "Kreme filled" doughnut had about a dime sized amount of filling. There's been at least three times I've been here where it says they're open and then you show up and the drive through is closed off. The drive through employees are always so great but the MANAGEMENT!! when I have visited this store before they have always been out of things even in the morning! Today is Valentine's Day. They have restrictions for how many you can get. After the manager explained that.....they gave me a dozen assorted and charged me for all specialty. Almost double the price. I am going back to get my money back. But I will continue to drive an extra 30 minutes out to the Layton location to get my doughnuts. they only get a one star for the drive through employee being so nice. read more

At the time it was to be delivered, I got a text from DoorDash telling me the order was canceled. I don't use DoorDash so I called the store. DoorDash doesn't accept calls from customers... I spoke with a female named Chris yesterday and she said she would call DoorDash to find out what happened and she was supposed to call me back today. I ordered donuts for a 70th Birthday celebration but when the order showed up there were only 48 donuts, instead of 72. There was never a call or email saying that there was a problem with the order and that it would be short. They totally left me in a bind in only delivering 2/3 of my order. I tried calling to see why the order was short and if I could just send someone down to pick up another 24 donuts, but the phone number is either busy or rings 1 time, then a message comes on saying the person you called cannot accept calls right now and then hangs up. Customer service is non-existent. Super disappointed in how this whole situation was handled. If Krispy Kreme could not fill the order, then they should have said so in the very beginning. I had the worst experience I've ever had at Krispy Kreme today. I called an hour or so before I got there to place an order. The lady on the phone said I wouldn't need to place an order because they should have the donuts. She said they have lots of donuts. I said, "Are you sure? Because I've come a few times and you were out of the donuts I wanted. So I want to make sure you have them when I come." I told her I would be coming in an hour to an hour and a half. She again reassured me she would have the donuts. When I showed up, the drive through and inside was closed. I went around towards the back of the store and knocked on the door. An employee came to talk to me. I asked if they were closed. He said yes. I asked why., He said because they are out of donuts. I told him my conversation with the employee on the phone. He said, "She told me to close the store because we are out of donuts." I then emphasized the conversation I had with her. He then let me in. As I went to the counter he shows me the donuts they have on the racks. There were several trays of donuts available. And several varieties. I was appalled. I said "oh wow! You have lots of donuts!" And they had the kind I wanted. I was grateful for that. Then after I got my donuts, the employee asked me what kind of makeup I'm wearing. I told him (thinking he was going to compliment me.). But instead he said,"Your makeup looks pale, but your skin isn't that pale. It makes youlook like a raccoon." He seemed like a friendly guy and was smiling the whole time, but I thought that was a rude comment. My husband was in the car the whole time. He said it smelled like weed. There were 2 cars sitting in front of the building. One employee got in the car. The employee who helped me seemed to be high on drugs. I'm not going back to this Krispy Kreme again unless things get a lot better. I don't live In Riverdale and I don't even go there that often, but almost every time I do, they are out of the donuts we want and/or are closed because they say they are out of donuts. read more
