I was happy to see Krispy Kreme while in the Miami area. They do not ha e locations too close to where I live. I stopped by to purchase 6 glazed donuts. The cashier was very nice. He made somw funny jokes too. The store was really clean and decorated for Autumn. I somehow resisted opening the box and eating one on the way home. When I did finally eat one, I realized the donuts were so thin. Usually they are full of life and dough. These were somewhat flat. They still tasted good but I actually ate four at once because they just didn't have much to them. I never thought to check the donuts because this has never happened to me, anywhere. There's a most delicious smell in there. The conveyor belt moving those donuts around is pretty mesmerizing, while you wait in the line, which seemed to go by extremely quickly. The glass shelf holding the donuts is full and they have a lot more variety than just plain glaze. There were some empty ones but I physically say people take 4 dozen and 2 dozen before I got to order. The staff is so nice and extremely attentive. The hardest part was getting in line for the drive-thru, but luckily you keep moving in line and stay in the comfort of your car, so the wait really isn't that bad, even if it ends up being over a half hour. A line forms on the road to turn into the drive-thru, which loops around the store to the "Order Here" speaker. You pretty much make a full lap and a half with the drive-thru, with a gentleman directing traffic to continue in line or get out. The transaction itself was the easiest thing ever. I pulled up to the ordering speaker, said I was a healthcare worker and ordered the two dozen glazed donuts, picked them up at the window and was on my way. I had my hospital badge on visible to the store employee when picking up. They had the two dozen donuts packed up and ready to take immediately, and 15 minutes later, I brought those freshly made babies to work at the hospital. In my humble opinion, the Original Glazed donuts are only worth eating within an hour and a half of being made/obtained, or gently warmed for about 10 microwave seconds to fool yourself into thinking they're fresh. My coworkers---doctors, RNs, technicians---got to have them within a half hour and loved them. I wish I had filmed the delight in their faces when they saw the Krispy Kreme boxes.
