Krispy Kreme is such a classic and nostalgic spot! This location has been here forever. The service was excellent! The employee Sarah was so sweet and helpful! The inside was clean and they have plenty of seating. They also have a good amount of options! I only gave it a 3 because their donuts are not my favorite. I find them bland and thin even though the were fresh. The cinnamon roll in particular I was excited about, but it disappointed me. It tasted like a honey bun from the store. To provide some context, Krispy Kreme is running a promotion that allows you to purchase a dozen glazed donuts for $5. This is half off the usual price. Now, I think their donuts taste like air, but my son likes them, so I thought it would be a nice surprise. I dropped my daughter off at school and checked the app. The app read that the hot now light was on, so I headed on over to the shop. I pulled into the drive thru to place my order. Me: I'd like a dozen glazed donuts. Leslie: That'll be $10.92. Me: They're not $5? Leslie: Do you have a coupon? Me: A coupon for what? Leslie: A coupon to get them for $5? Me: I thought they were $5 when the Hot Now light is on. Leslie: 2nd window Leslie: $5.46 Me: I hand her my money. Leslie: Provides my change. Leslie: Hands me the donuts. Me: Thank you. Leslie: Nothing What kind of customer service requires me to tell you that I know about your promotion and, therefore, you should honor it. Firstly, if the promotion is a dozen donuts for $5 when the hot now light is on, I should be able to place my order and get them for the promotional price. I shouldn't have to tell you I know about the promotion. Secondly, a coupon is not required to take advantage of the promotion, so why did she ask me for one? Thirdly, she didn't say "ok, you can pull up or drive to the second window." Oh, no, she said "second window." She didn't even give me a new total. I visited Krispy Kreme and placed an order on the drive through. The lady in the drive through made my order. She had on gloves and used the paper to pick them up. I could also see another employee, a guy, making orders. I'm assuming it was for inside customers. He had on gloves, but I saw him grab his pants on both sides to pull them up. If you're a fan of the all time favorite classic glazed donut then there's no better feeling them driving passed a Krispy Kreme restaurant with the "hot light" on! This visit was well worth the Saturday morning stop by for the kids to get donuts for a weekend treat. Although the line was pretty lengthy it moved quickly and expeditiously. The customer service was speedy and friendly and of course the quality was beyond 5 stars! They even blessed us with an additional dozen to give to someone else. Krispy Kreme held a wonderful event today. If you brought in 12 pounds of beads to donate, you received a dozen glazed donuts. My kids and I gathered up our Mardi Gras beads and brought them in. Parking was easy and there were several volunteers ready to help out....from offering to get us a shopping cart, to holding doors open. There were signs all over leading us to the right spot. A couple police officers were manning the table where the beads were weighed....or maybe they just happened to already be there The event was very organized and we were in and out in 5 minutes. Our beads were weighed at 60+ pounds and we were given the option of donuts or coupons to come back for them. We took one box and they gave us 4 coupons good for a dozen donuts each. Just bought a dozen for a total of $17.78. Gave them a $15 gift card and a $5 bill to pay the difference of $2.78. The girl working applied the $5 first and then paid the difference of $12.78 on the gift card, leaving me with a balance of $2.22 on the GC. I told her that's not the way you do it and the manager came to tell me that's the only way to do it and that's the only way their system allows it? what really happened is she inputted the $5 cash first and then paid the balance of $12.78 with the Gc when she should have inputted the $15 GC FIRST and then the $5 second to pay the balance of $2.78.
