The decor is really nice here with friendly service and a good selection of donuts. We got 4 donuts and an iced coffee. The donuts were great. The ice coffee was good too. The only thing you should know is their iced coffee already has sugar in it. You can't ask for no sugar! Other than that, it's all good here. It's on a main touristy street, so lines can get long. With 2 workers, the line could've moved faster for my liking, but it was understandable.

Very dirty and messy so we did not dine and took to go. Condiment stand was scary disaster. Donuts were stale and old. Staff was friendly and nice

It finally opened!! I'm so happy. I love Krispy Kreme. I used to have to wait for a ride or wait for Concordia to have bake sales to get my fix but not anymore! The café is so nice. I'm really impressed with the decor and the cleanliness the place. Service is quick and I was lucky and there was no lineup. I had the store to myself. I'm going to be here all the time. Just you watch.

Krispy Kreme is back, and it seems like phenomenal event when the line up is long for about 20-30 minutes. At least, it is not super cold outside. Surprised to see inside, it is spacious with nice sitting area. The service is as quick as possible, and you can see in the back the workers are working hard to make the doughnuts as much that can especially the demands are so high. Of course everyone's favorite old fashioned is there and people get the assorted ones, but a separate box for the classic ones too. Believe me, the wait of 20 minutes were worth it because it was delicious. Hope Krispy Kreme is here to stay!

After what seemed like yeaaarrs of waiting, this shop is OPEN!! News traveled fast today because the line-up was pretty much constant. We waited for about 20 min before leaving with three dozens donuts (we got a bit carried away yes). Anyhow, their donuts are delicious, especially after being microwaves for a few seconds. The interior had more seating space than I expected, with a couple tables, sofas, and two very cute corner seats. The ladies at the counter were fast and efficient despite the (controlled) chaos. It was a great way to end the day, especially with all that sudden snow. Really happy to have a Krispy Kreme on the island!

Thanks to the Yelp donuts collection, I found out that Krispy Kreme is back in town! (They've been back for a while but weren't on my radar till now.) It's hot outside but taking a bike ride to get a half dozen donuts = burn some calories to make space for some more :) AND get to enjoy them donuts cause YES!!! Donuts do make me happy!! The store is open till 9pm every day. When you arrive, a staff member will open the door for you from inside if there's room for you to go in and order while keeping a healthy distance from others. A box of 6 costs only $8.10 all in. I ordered the Maple Glazed, Caramel Kreme Crunch, NY Cheesecake, Oreo Cookies and Kreme and two originals. My favorite of the bunch is the Oreo one. The cream just oozes out with every bite and the Oreo crunch on top is just perfect!! The cheesecake has a lemony filling. Caramel one has a caramel filling. There wasn't one that I didn't like. Oddly enough, I like these donuts because they're not overly sweet, if that makes sense! If you don't have a microwave (like I do) it can be gently warmed up in a toaster oven with residual heat for that soft, warm, melty donut.

Fantastic little spot ! Ok so krispy kreme is Back and better than ever!! If you remember correctly, they had many big stores across the island and off the island and were too big and grew way too fast. The locations were way to massive and unappealing.. I mean they were nasty like you came in and you felt surrounded by donuts floating in fat lard and swimming in fatty grease gross and not that smart of an idea. However, they changed quite a lot and maybe this time they chose to grow slowly .. this location is solo and tiny. The line is quite long and busy but their donuts are fresh and delicious . Service: alright but way too slow (needs improvement) Food: is spectacular it's so delicious decided to try every flavour they had and I was surprised to note they stayed fresh for over 3-4 days !!! Place was clean and welcoming no more being surrounded by floating donuts lol it was a cute little café. Personally I really enjoyed their ice coffee triple chocolate ! My husband had their coffee very strong tasted like starbucks coffee not much of a fan but he enjoyed it a lot. Overall verdict, delicious definitely needs better service but will be back for sure!!

Great donuts. Krispy Kreme was always a treat back in the USA and now I finally get to have some right in my backyard! Service was fast and efficient. Long line went away in seconds. They happily let me split a dozen into 2 different boxes, and I got to choose a very specific order of donuts from the case. My favorites are the creme filled chocolate frosting (Boston creme) and the jelly filled originals. Super airy and the perfect amount of chew. So yummy, I ate my whole box.

    Schwartz's - Smoked meat sandwich

Great smoked meat sandwich!…read more Honestly my first thought was to compare this sandwich to the many pastrami sandwiches I've had in NYC but that would be comparing apples to oranges. Even Schwartz will tell you it's not the same product although it is very similar. Both institutions cure, spice, smoke and steam the meat but that's where the similarities end. Although I don't know for sure, I've heard the cut of meat is different. Katz uses a naval cut, which is noticeably fattier and juicy. Schwartz's smoked meat doesn't lack in fattiness but it's far less fatty and juicy. Another fact on the first bite is -the flavor. Katz's flavor profile on the pastrami is a knockout punch while Schwartz delivers a jab. Schwartz's smoked meat delivers a different flavor profile all together. That's not to say Schwartz isn't great because it's half the price on Katz essentially and you don't have to tip your slicer here. That's not to say Schwartz doesn't bring their own brand of chaos. On my way out the slicer shouted he'd serve no one until the line was straightened out to his liking. LOL. It's all good though, that line was a mess and Sometimes tourists need a stern talking to. I'd get in a straight line for sure for this sandwich! I got my sandwich from the takeout next door versus waiting for table service. The line was 20 deep at 3pm and I just didn't have the patience on a drizzling afternoon. I'd revisit for another one of these smoked meat sandwiches.

The service there was great, and it had that classic old-school deli atmosphere. I hadn't had a pastrami sandwich in a while, and while this one was very good, I wouldn't personally call it great. I found the meat a little dry, but adding coleslaw and a pickle definitely helped. I also tried their classic black cherry soda, which was excellent. If I'm comparing it to places like Langer's or Katz's, I'd probably rank Schwartz below both of them. I think Katz has better pastrami with more fat and a juicier texture overall, and Langer's #19 is still my favorite deli sandwich because you're getting more ingredients and flavors than just pastrami and mustard. Overall though, Schwartz is definitely worth checking out. You probably won't be blown away, but it's still a really solid experience with a lot of character.

"Her cheeks like the red rose that blooms in the spring Her…read morehair like a lily that grows in young valley She was only a hard-working factory girl" (Sinead O'Connor) La Fabrique de bagel translates into "The Bagel Factory" and there are nine of them in the Montreal area specializing in (you guessed it) the Montreal-style bagel). So, what is a Montreal bagel and how is it different from any other bagel? Well, they are smaller, thinner, denser, and sweeter, with a larger hole in the middle than most other bagels. Back in the day, they were always baked in a wood-burning oven. Today, those types of ovens are illegal, so they engaged a team of bagel production experts to reconfigure a cooking process and replicate the test and texture of their old-school wood fire baked ancestors. And their bagels can be enjoyed in eighteen different varieties, and that is a pretty awesome selection. We decided on an Everything Bagel with jalapeno cream cheese (C$5.25) and a Plain bagel with salmon cream cheese (C$5.25). Our drinks were a Small Americano (C$3.50) and a small drip coffee (C$2.75). My Everything bagel was wonderful. Chewy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a subtle "hint of sweetness" taste. It was everything you'd ever want in a bagel. And the jalapeno cream cheese was great. I order this a lot and sometimes I end up with a dissapointingly bland cream cheese with the lightest green tint to it, as though someone used an eye dropper to administer a few milligrams of pickle juice. But not here, there were actual hunks of raw jalapeno in the cream cheese that left no doubt in your mind what you were eating. They sure delivered the old zip I expect in anything with the word "jalapeno" in its description. You order on their assembly line (the servers were great), then grab a table out in the common area outside the store. PRO TIP The store can be tricky to find. It's inside an office building on a lower level which resembles a shopping mall. What a great thing for the office workers to grab some food without confronting the harsh Montreal winter weather.

I was intrigued, and since I can always go for some carbs I decided to head in and check this place out. Unlike most bakeries I visited, Boulangerie Guillaume has a much more modern look, and is larger than a standard bakery. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by stairs which led up to the main production area. All of the bakes were arranged on the back-wall perimeter of the space separated from the pedestrians by a glass wall. The color scheme was mostly black to contrast the bright yellow of the bags and signage. The arrangement of the bakes, combined with the color scheme and modern aesthetics, resulted in a stunning, visually striking presentation. I wasn't too hungry, but I can always go for some sweets and their date square looked good. I went with that, along with a cappuccino. The square was delicious - the dates were high quality, and the crust underneath was moist while maintaining its integrity. The cappuccino was also good, a great complement to the bake. Service was efficient, and overall I had a great experience at Boulangerie Guillaume. I definitely want to return to explore more of their menu - I noticed they had some savory items so perhaps for some lunch. Definitely one of the best bakeries I visited in Montreal.
