Will not return my…read morehusband's call after testing but had no problem scheduling another appointment without talking to him. There has also been little to no explanation of what is going on, even when asked. We have been given very vague answers. They were a little bit quicker to communicate with us in the beginning when wanting to set up testing AKA get our money. Still has yet to provide an explanation of test results after multiple messages asking (all appears to be fine from what we see on the portal - guess since they can't get more appointments and money we no longer matter). Current doc does not appear to have reviewed past medical records and took them into account when recommending a bone marrow biopsy. Disappointed that the nurse was congratulating the doctor for performing 2 biopsies in one day. Beginning to feel like my husband was put through unneeded testing to meet some twisted quota. Would not recommend them, but unfortunately not too many options in the area. See less Shared post

Dr. Farmer was the surgeon who did my surgery. Very nice man with a great bedside manner. I have…read morehad problems since my surgery and my knee doesn't bend any more and seems worse after the procedure . Now I have white thread looking like material protruding out of my scar. Surgery was in May. I called office and the nurse told me that it wouldn't have anything to do with my surgery and I would need to go to urgent care. I asked is it dangerous and she stated well I can't tell you that only urgent care can inform you . So I asked again so this wouldn't be a follow up to my surgery because I have had problems since I had it done and she states no. The office has screwed up 3 appointments of mine as well. I showed up for an appointment and first they say or you have no appointment today and I said yes today is pre- op appointment and the front desk tells me well Dr. Farmer is off today so you can see PA. I should of realized then not to go forward with surgery . Even though my knee was killing me and I had a torn meniscus (which wasn't fixed during surgery , PA stated they didn't need to as it wasn't in the way with my knee), my knee cracks, grinds and pops when I try to bend it and I can't get past 50 degrees. The office won't assist you in getting an appointment and urgent care isn't that great either . First time I went to there I was told nothing was wrong with my knee. Even though my knee popped very loud and I dropped to the ground . I'm very disappointed over this whole ordeal. Depressed is a under statement .. don't go to this office . Dr Farmer did a manipulation and knee works wonderful . I informed Dr Farmer of all my concerns and he addressed all of them and everything was fixed !! Thank you Dr Farmer. I should of been more informative with you in the begging and expressed issues that arises.

He's great and I highly recommend him - and my husband and daughter go to him now as well. Note- as with all pain mgmt doctors insurance requires physical therapy and cortisone injections before further treatments can be tried. So don't blame that on the doctor!! And don't quit going because cortisone doesn't work - there are other treatments if you will continue.

All I had was planters fasciitis but when I came out of surgery he had cut up my tendons and ligaments and sewed my foot back up like that. I spent two years in horrible pain and he had me so jacked up on high doses of hydrocodone it wasn't funny. After nine months of trying to work and walk another foot surgeon saw me trying to walk had me come see him and told me I had a failed surgery. This Dr had to correct the surgery that Zelen had done all the while telling me that he corrects all of Zellen's screw ups . I had to have extensive surgery to shift my heel back over three inches with a screw in my heel and had to have all of my ligaments and tendons repaired. I do not recommend this Dr to anyone who wants to walk properly. I guess he thought a kiss on the cheek every time was going to keep me from telling this horrid experience but take heed. He is less than desirable as a surgeon. That's my experience.
