They have an elderly African-American receptionist who is a pleasant woman, but has hearing loss and lack basic medical knowledge to correct herself. Often times you'll have to repeat yourself or hear her repeat things back you that are completely wrong and odd. It's not just customers, but she's like this with doctors, often repeating information from doctors incorrectly to patients in calls, and causing confusion/misunderstandings. Save yourself the headache and sit at the next available receptionist.

And they've screwed up my families billing to many times to count. We have 2, yes two forms of health insurance. When you try to call to fix the issue, you can't understand what they are saying except for "that's your bill, pay now?" "We bill you, you pay" Avoid the medical billing shakedown from these 3rd party mobsters. They'll have you in collections for thousands over a aspirin that you never took. They do medical billing code like they are playing a game of bingo. AFC, if you want to be a better place, ditch the 3rd party mobsters and con artists. Staff and doctors are great, not worth dealing with a shakedown for your money because they have no idea how to bill your insurance.

I went today for my annual comprehensive physical exam and blood test. I arrived very early on a very cold morning day since I had the first appointment and the friendly receptionist let me in even though they still hadn't opened and proceeded to take my information. She then had me sit in the main reception room for a very short wait. My Doctor's Nurse came almost right away with a big smile and a friendly hello to greet me and take me to the examination room where she took my weight and blood pressure, which was excellent. She was so nice and hospitable that she embodies what the spirit of a Nurse should be. Shortly after, my doctor, Adrienne Kinsey arrived from her morning meeting to come see me early. She was very welcoming as well and proceeded to ask me some questions and complete my physical. She then took me to the laboratory for my blood tests. I waited in the waiting room for a short time and the lab tech came and took my blood. Everything went smoothly. Then I went to the Exit Desk station and another wonderful receptionist gave me the paperwork with all that was done to me today and scheduled me for next year's comprehensive. This place not only has a relaxed welcoming atmosphere, but absolutely everyone I had contact with was marvelous and so hospitable. My PCP, Heather Ball, is located at the Valley View Office and has been the best doctor I've ever had. She stood up for me when other doctors were calling me crazy and kept searching for answers even when I wanted to give up. And she never put a stethoscope to my chest. In respiratory distress, I made an appointment with my sons' doctor at Parkway Physicians. The doctor had an immediate x-ray done; my lungs were full. Turns out I had pneumonia, not post-nasal drip. How can a doctor make that kind of mistake?
