This office was excellent for 4 years when my mom lived outside a nursing home. Care was great when I took her into the office..Sadly when she moved to the nursing home due to her worsening dementia ...her care by this office became very poor. I was told they would visit her in the nursing home. I trusted them. I tried to get someone to see her for a cough {pain in chest} and a possible chest Xray..that did not happen....the nursing home did everything right..I changed to the nursing home facility MD {took less than 24 hrs for her to be seen} and she had an xray the same day and she has pneumonia! At 91 yrs old this may not play out well. Shame on this care provider. read more

I have been a patient with Valley Internal Medicine in Salem for nine years which speaks for itself. I would not want to receive my primary care anywhere else. From the office staff to those who assist the physicians, the atmosphere is always cordial , helpful and very efficient. By the time I get to see my doctor, I can assure you that no one has left any stone unturned. My physician has everything at his fingertips and there is never a need for him to chase missing preliminary information. The physicians are both thorough and informative with each of my medical visits. With rare exceptions to office patient medical emergencies I have never experienced a long wait. I am also appreciative to be able to have all laboratory tests done in office. I cannot think of one reason to seek my care elsewhere and highly recommend Valley Internal Medicine to anyone in search of excellent medical care. read more

Having worked in the medical IT field for quite a while and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the blood and guts of the medical industry, I was quite shocked by Dr. Haider and Valley Internal Medicine. The reception and clinical staff were pleasant, and I was asked if I minded a student tagging along with the Dr, which of course I did not. The student, whose name unfortunately escapes me, was engaging and pleasant. Then Dr. Haider came in. He spent a good 45 minutes or so with me, answer my questions and giving me explanations where I otherwise would have expected a ten minute visit and a brusque, hurried manner. He went over all my concerns, and then gave me a detailed explanation of what he saw taking place as my PCP with regards to preventative care. Again, after several years of working in the modern medical office and seeing doctors with 30+ patients scheduled in a day, I truly appreciated the time and unhurried manner of Dr. Haider and his staff. I'll probably recommend my wife see him as well. read more
