However, after spending over an hour in the car to try to get here from my aunt's house in Greenville, I was rudely yelled at by the owner when entering the store. "We close in 6 minutes!!!" This was the beginning of the end for me... I live in Houston so I only get to come here when I'm in town visiting family or if I make a special trip to come stock up on fabric. I happened to be in town the weekend of Easter and tried to come here on the Friday before Easter, only to find a handwritten sign on the door that they were closed (for Good Friday) and would be open again the next day. That was a bummer, but I asked my husband if we could try to come back on Saturday as I bought fabric from here previously and I needed more of it. My family in the area lives in Greenville, so it was quite a drive to get here from their house. I saw here on Yelp that they close at 4:30pm, so we rushed and I ended up walking in 6 minutes to 4pm. How do I know this? Because as soon as I walked in, the owner screamed "we close in 6 minutes!!!" at me. I responded, "online says 4:30pm and I'm from out of town". She rudely replied "well online is wrong - we've tried to fix it but it's wrong". I rushed to grab my fabric and with 2 minutes left to 4pm, she yelled from the front "are you ready to check out?!" They had already rushed everyone else (all 2 other people) out the door and I was the only one left. Listen, I get that it was a Saturday and you're trying to go home....but you weren't open the day before due to a holiday and you now have a customer in front of you who's ready to spend money and also told you that she's in from out of town... To be treated so rudely, by the OWNER, nonetheless, is absolutely unacceptable. Next time I'm in town, I'm sticking to spending my money at the other 3 fabric warehouses next door as I will NOT be coming back to this place.

Then the rude lady who pushed me out the door felt the need to correct me and say it was 5 minutes until closing, and that they didn't have any customers so they were closing early.. It wouldn't be a big deal but I sat in over an hour of traffic to get there and really needed 20 yards of fabric to finish a project that is to install tomorrow. Awful customer service from this particular lady.

There wasn't any wait and the guy who cut my fabrics was friendly. The bolts were huge and I guess you're supposed to carry them yourself to the table...which would be a challenging task for a lot of people. The place was kind of a total mess and finding what you need is going to take time. I suppose it really comes down to WHAT you need. This place may be perfect depending on what you're looking for. I felt like if I were making a prom dress, there were tons of options. If you're making kids stretch clothes or swimsuits, you might not find what you need.

The kind ladies at Not Your Mama's Quilt Store got online and started doing a search for who might manufacture it and where I could possibly get it. I wanted to sew a scrub cap for my surgeon DIL and get it to her within the week in time for Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. I finally found some on Amazon that came in a short time. Etsy would print fabric on demand but not get here til mid month. The store is beautifully arranged with nice fabrics and quilting accessories and the prices seemed very reasonable. Anyway, I was so impressed with the helpfulness and kindness I received and I didn't even buy anything. It's so rare to come across a store/sales clerks that will go to that high of a customer service level! Anytime I need quilting fabric I am definitely coming here!

I was not interested in the glitzy / "gown" fabrics for the most part, but the selection is wide and there are amazing silks, wools, and even some cotton and linen. The folks on staff when we visited were super nice and helpful at showing us around. Agree with the reviewer who shops the remnants room - that was me as well. Beautiful finds there! They also have a really nice selection of buttons that you won't find elsewhere. My only regret is that I am not made of money, but if you are shopping for high-end clients you will find amazing things here with no regrets!

Their service is great. They communicate via text and email. They had a wait time but they gave us the option of picking up the sectional when they were ready. So we were without the couch for less than a month instead of months while we were next in line. They made my sectional look brand new and contacted me about ways to make it look better. They did an outstanding job. They have delivery service as well. I love the idea of reusing instead of putting this into a landfill. I highly recommend this company. They have done a chair of mine in the past too.
