Business with 11 years operating in NOLA. Great selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses- options to polarize. Prices range from 215-465, with FSA accepted. Locally owned, independent, created and designed in New Orleans. Friendly staff, particularly Semaj and Brandon, who provided exceptional service.

Slid thru to this cute lil spot after seeing a billboard leaving the airport in May 2018. Mannnnn listen! Their specs are absolutely amazing BUTTTTTT expensive. What got me however was the experience. Every single person we came into contact was patient with my 50-11 questions. They explained the process of how these lovely handcrafted specs are made and watched me try on at least 10 pairs (all their suggestions) but I kept going back to the STL II Nylon. These babies are BAD! Matte frame with 24k gold? Yea, I will take them! Alas, I ended up walking out empty handed but couldn't get them out of my mind. I absolutely had to have them so ended up ordering them. They are SO pretty and people stop me all the time and ask where I got them from. I love sharing that its an artisan eyewear shop in the heart of the French Quarter. I will be returning to NoLa this year so Krewe will definitely see me again!

First off, I have become a huge fan of KREWE over the past year. I think it's amazing that Stirling Barrett (the founder of KREWE and member of Forbes 30 under 30) was able to create a successful luxury brand in New Orleans in just 5 years. I mean how many brands can say that Beyonce, Kendall Jenner, Meghan Markle, Gigi Hadid, and Lil Wayne rock their shades on the regular? As a local, I love that NOLA is the inspiration for all the designs and even referenced by the frame names (Poydras, Lafayette, St. Louis, etc.) While the sunglasses are expensive ($195-$415 depending on the frame) compared to other popular options, like RayBan, I believe the quality of KREWE's frames is worth the extra money. Each pair is handcrafted, comes with a lifetime warranty, and a FREE replacement should you damage your frames. There's just something special about supporting a local company and looking good in the process. I noticed a lot of reviews referencing poor customer service. I'm not sure if something has changed since then, but the customer service I experienced was phenomenal. Even though the store was packed with customers, I was immediately greeted by multiple employees. After trying on a few different glasses, I was approached by a young lady named Lucy who recommended a few frames and offered me complimentary Frosé (frozen rosé). Free booze, I'm in. After close to an hour of trying to decide between frames, another employee, Emily, offered her opinion and my final decision was made (the Orleans Windsor for those interested). If you've had a bad experience with KREWE in the past, I highly recommend giving it another try. I'm not sure if new employees were hired, but my customer service experience was exactly what I have come to expect from a luxury brand.

    Crack and lens falls out

After months of back and forth, Krewe replaced my frames. I want clients to know that keeping your receipt for as long as you have your Krewe sunglasses is essential to use the Lifetime Warranty and there are exceptions to full replacement qualifications. Check with Krewe when you buy your Krewe sunglasses on the Lifetime Warranty parameters. The sunglasses need to be kept in a hard case. I think Krewe sunglasses are unique and have great designs. I do get so many compliments on the six pairs I have purchased. I appreciate that Krewe in the end replaced my sunglasses that cracked.

If you're the kind of person who would spend $300 on a pair sunglasses then this is a cool store to check out. I'm a bargain shopper so this is way out of my budget but I can appreciate the style. The store offers really interesting shapes and colors. I didn't like that nothing had a price on it and no one greeted us when we walked in. When I asked about the price the lady was really short with me. So even if I would have been interested in a pair of sunglasses, I probably wouldn't have gotten them just because of her attitude.

This is the coolest optical in the Quarter. KREWE is designed by a New Orleans guy and is totally reflective, as the name suggests, of the New Orleans experience. The prime location on Royal alone guarantees an authentic NOLA experience which is steps away from Jackson Square. The space is white, light and airy with juicy succulents as accents. The eyewear stands out uniquely and individually in this quintessential setting. The service is generous and helpful. KREWE is setting the stage for creative, local eyewear design and it's great to see it up close and personal as it happens. Apparently, the designers studio is upstairs. There are classic shapes with names like Conti, St. Louis, LGD that all pay tribute to their city. KREWE's treatment of mirrors on their sunwear is unsurpassed. Beautiful coloration and gradients with unusual combinations. This company is relatively new and I can't wait to see where they go.

My wife had heard of this place and as she doesn't really request many things to do or go too we made it a point to check it out. It is small but full of stuff, dresses, jewelry, purses, Halloween costumes! They had some great earrings and she got quite a few as well as a purse that looks like a tape deck radio/Boombox. She tried on a few dresses but couldn't quite find one she liked, but was excited they had dresses in all shapes, styles, and sizes! This close to Halloween and with the Halloween parade either that day or the next the Halloween costumes left were few but still some good ones. They had two dressing rooms, but there was storage in one of them so if the store needed something while you were in that dressing room you had to get dressed fast and let them through as soon as you could. It was fun and full of character, some earrings she found look like goldfish in a bag of water, Some cool skeleton hands to go with her Pharmacy Museum shirt, as well as some skulls and a few others. There was a sale of buy one get half off second. She finally told me I had to make her leave or she would spend all the money. To quote her: Shana: "My thoughts? I LOVED IT!"

My issue is that I wanted a different size of something in stock and left my number on a peice of paper to get a call later (I haven't gotten a call, but it might just not be back in stock, so no big deal). I was hoping I could simply check back online, but the web page is a seldom-updated disaster. So, I loved the shop, and I'll be back when I'm in NOLA, but I'd also love it if I could buy stuff from NY State, where I live, and just have it shipped. Clean up the web page so I can do that?
