I am OBSESSED with this store!!!! I was looking for somewhere to get a shirt that didn't say New Orleans on it and then I walked into this dress and skirt dream!! If you are looking for amazing prints and dresses with pockets - this is the place for you! If you are looking for dresses and skirts in a variety of sizes - this is the place for you! Some of the dresses are from Eva Rose and Effie's Closet to name a few and these designers really know how to make great quality clothing that lasts a long time and is worth the price you pay!!! Oh and the service was spectacular - Debbie was super helpful and even though I arrived right before they closed, she did not hesitate to let me try some items on so that was super nice of her!! First off, just to get it out of the way, there are either two places with this name or two locations and that made it a little tough to find the right one. We thought maybe google was wrong but it was trying to get us to the open location. Midday and the first location we found was closed. My wife had heard of this place and as she doesn't really request many things to do or go too we made it a point to check it out. It is small but full of stuff, dresses, jewelry, purses, Halloween costumes! They had some great earrings and she got quite a few as well as a purse that looks like a tape deck radio/Boombox. She tried on a few dresses but couldn't quite find one she liked, but was excited they had dresses in all shapes, styles, and sizes! This close to Halloween and with the Halloween parade either that day or the next the Halloween costumes left were few but still some good ones. They had two dressing rooms, but there was storage in one of them so if the store needed something while you were in that dressing room you had to get dressed fast and let them through as soon as you could. It was fun and full of character, some earrings she found look like goldfish in a bag of water, Some cool skeleton hands to go with her Pharmacy Museum shirt, as well as some skulls and a few others. Walking from one end of the French Quarter to the other end can be a challenge after a drink or three.... and I have to admit we weren't at the point of stumbling but we were at that point beyond sobriety where you are overly friendly and possibly giggling more than necessary. And then we were passing this colorful shop with all sorts of vintage dresses and an old bicycle out in from of the shop. Marisol being true to her nature (shopper) we entered.... I don't wear dresses but I have to admit they were classy and all offered that hint of sexy without the tramp or skanky style that too many girls think they have to offer to catch a fellas eye. While Marisol perused the store I chatted with the girl working (possibly the owner, since she was so passionate about the shop). We started with trending styles and it led right away to decorating based upon my complimenting the use of abandoned/demolished home goods. What had caught my eye was the use of old window frames (all deteriorated and weathered) as wall art. They also used some expired window shutters (also deteriorated and weathered). Beyond the woman's fashion, they offer a variety of colorful and playful purses and hats; all very adorable but at the same time I don't think most of these accessories would work back at home (so you better have your own sense of style to feel good wearing something that isn't in line with todays style), but if you like vintage style then this shop has you covered. read more

Absolutely LOVE this shop! I walked in with my husband and another couple. Everything in this shop was fun and had character. It definitely beats most places around my area at home. I tried on 3 amazing dresses and purchased 2. They are phenomenal and SO comfy. I didn't catch her name but the manager was the gal that helped us. She was terrific, friendly and super helpful at answering my care instructions questions for my new dresses. She told me they ship and told me about their designers as well. I purchased a really snazzy ring from here. It was a silver metal. It literally statted peeling off the very next morning when I went to wear it. I paid 24.00 for it so I knew it wasn't sterling silver but dang even costume jewelry from "you name any store" lasts longer than a day. I did not even get to wear it a full 24 hours. Oh wait, I did have the joy of wearing it back to my hotel that day lol. Sad but true. I would have taken it back if for no other reason than to show her just how cheap this thing is, but we were just visiting and had to leave Lousiana. Oh well you win some you lose some but at least we have yelp to share the lost. From what I could see they had a lot of cute and unique items. The clothes looked lovely but whenever someone sells me less than stellar quality on one item, I assume it's all substandard. That just me but it is a cute little store. One of my favorite stores in New Orleans, I get a few items every time I visit. They have a lot of dresses and skirts in retro cuts and patterns, and many of their dresses have POCKETS. What a fun store. There is so many great choices here and plenty of local artist wares. I loved shopping here for myself and for my Christmas list. I found so many things at very reasonable prices. There were a few dresses and jackets that were desirable but out of my price range. Also. It is so hard to find a decent hand fan and fine one that is sturdy and affordable. This is the place! This is an extremely cute store. I spoke with Trish who was working there and she was extremely informative and patient with all my questions. They have a wide selection of hand made candles that smell divine. The scents range from Asian fig, Coffee and Beignets, to King Cake. My favorite was peppermint eucalyptus. They will also ship items to you. They have a wide variety of clothing (dresses, skirts, tops). Trish explained the voodoo dolls to me and cleared up some misconceptions. They have voodoo dolls made by a local artist who makes them using items she finds. I really enjoyed browsing the store. read more

I wandered in on my last day in NOLA looking for souvenirs that didn't revolve around alligators and voodoo dolls and was pleasantly surprised to find 100% soy candles made by a local artisan. They were reasonably priced and smelled wonderful. There were so many scents that it was hard picking but I immediately grabbed the Green Tea Lemongrass and Coffee Beignet. Very cute clothing was also on display and I tried some on. However a quick Google search in the dressing room revealed that I could get the same clothes for half the price online so be sure to double check the brand if you see something you like! read more

Yoooooooooooooooooo! Why had I never run across this place in my previous visit to Nola?! It's a wee gem, hidden among other gems. But it's definitely worth a peek a boo into. Why? Well they have retro dresses. Pity their sizes didn't go up to include something that would have encompassed my heaving bosom, however they are super cute. And some of them are super pricey. But they do have a sales rack. And they do have other items that aren't in the super pricey range which is why I can't not give this place 5 stars. The clothing lines not only suit societies version of what is beautiful, but offers sizes and styles for those with ample curves, back fat, double D's, and those who are simply built for comfort, not speed. Cute one or two of a kind sundresses, festival wear, lounge wear, or what have you, Lost and Found understands the needs of women who like to eat more and workout less. I am not one to deny myself, as discipline lacks in THIS family, so Lost and Found (as in I found my size) offers cute styles and prices that are lower than typical French Quarter Boutique prices. On my first trip to New Orleans, I was taking a destination-less stroll through the French Quarter when I stumbled into Lost and Found. I love stores like this; places that have trendy but affordable local designers and curiosities. I found an excellent birthday present for my sister, a purse made out of a repurposed coffee sack. And for me, an owl cuff bracelet. Lovely! Their was a rack of decently priced vintage coats (especially when compared to NYC's prices for even mediocre pieces) but I just didn't have room in my suitcase. Its the kind of place you do an initial look through and almost walk out, but then find something worth trying on, then leave with two huge bags full of clothes, but not the shoppers remorse because everything is really well priced! They truly have a variety of prices, sizes and items in a small space, so you really have to look through while you're there. I picked up two adorable dresses, one perfect for work then happy hour and then a cute little sundress for the weekends! Trying to make my way to the register I snagged a pair of earrings and hat as well! They have reasonably priced accessories, including some made from local artists. Cell upon my arrival I was extremely excited to try lost and found as I am a huge online shopper and have shopped this location many times online. When I walked in the store was everything I imagined it would be with the exception of its lackluster customer service. The sales clerk was extremely unhelpful and seemed rather annoyed that I was even in the shop. She offered a little to no assistance more along the lines of no assistance to aide me as I searched for items within her shop. She was extremely unpleasant and the entire time I was in the shop just watched me. Never offering assistance or if I needed help finding a size or even if I was looking for something specific, which I was. This was a very disappointing visit as the main reason for my visit to New Orleans was for this location specifically. Recommendation to the owner of this location hire people who are wanting to be there and assess guest as they come in to your establishment. Very disappointing as again I came to New Orleans specifically to visit the shop. read more

Cute boutique shop. There's a handful of boutique shops in the French Quarter, but this one stood out to me because the scarves were pretty affordable. I purchased a soft, grey/black elephant scarf for $21 after 25% discount. Service was quick and they use Square so I was able to pay by credit card and the receipt was emailed to me right away.
