What an adorable little shop tucked in adjacent to Jackson Square. While walking around the French Quarter on a visit to New Orleans for a bachelorette, my friends and I stopped in because one of the girls in our group was coincidentally named Jackie too. We decided that this paired with the incredible window displays was a sign that we had to stop in to shop around. As a huge fan of accessories, especially earrings, I was immediately drawn to a large display in the back of the room with endless cute earring options. I couldn't leave without adding two new pairs of earrings to my collection. One pair was $28 and the other, more elaborate pair, was $32. There was a wide assortment of seasonal and every day accessory options. The boutique also offered a great selection of clothing basics, a sales rack, and some great seasonal pieces for affordable price points. Very cute store! A bit out of my price range and unfortunately long wait time to the fitting room.

The place is SOOOO cute. It's right around Jackson Square. I came into this place, with no intentions of buying anything. Little do i know...I walk out of there with 3 new dresses. The staffs were super friendly, especially to my friend who was trying on pieces before purchasing. I was just keeping my hands to myself until I got hold of their clearance section. Don't get me wrong, the dresses that they had for original price was gorgeous as well...but it was most definitely my fault for letting my hands touch the dresses. Haha. It is on the pricey side, but you will NOT be disappointed with the styles and colors on the dresses. The purses/clutches were super cute as well! Luckily...I've already indulged in my purse addiction so, in my mind, I only needed new clothes! haha Very cute store, friendly staff. This is my dream store. Do you remember a time when you went into a store and you wanted everything you saw? Well, I don't. Until now. Classy dresses, flirty tops, a pretty scarf collection in the back -- what more could you ask for? They have fitting rooms in the back too. It IS a little more on the pricey side but if you find something you love, you must grab onto it and run*. The only gripe was that the sales girls were not the friendliest, but it was near closing time and they're in a heavy touristy traffic location, so I don't blame them. I followed the Yelp app road to a brunch spot just down from Jackie's, Stanley. We had a little wait, so naturally it was shopping time! Walking into this store was like floating into the little dream bubble that lives above my head. I love the feeling when you walk into a clothing store, and you literally are pulled in every direction by cute clothes. Dresses on the left! Scarves on the Right! Cute purses and jewelry peeking out in the back! Sweaters and blazers too! Then came the frenzied grabbing by me. It was also a bonus that the sales people were really nice, and even the Moms found some stuff she liked. Really cute little boutique. Clothes are cute (they don't carry my size- they tend to vary more petite sizes and I'm a plus size gal). But still cute. What really had me happy were the accessories! The purses were amazing! I found a jewel but left wanting almost every one of them. Now you have to realize, I'm not a girlie girl and I'm not even into purses like that. I have to find one that actually feels like me before I even eye it. I saw multiple ones that felt like me. (I'm a little crazy, bohemian, casual, hipster, free spirit- type of gal). Very cute store. Fun clothes and accessories. The employees however were so rude I could not stand to even be in there. I went into the dressing room (where there are no mirrors) and each time I walked out in something I was trying on, I was glared at. I work at a boutique and when ladies are trying things on I offer help and if they look fabulous, I be sure to tell them! I certainly don't stare at them and make them feel uncomfortable. I was checking out and my mask got caught on my earring. One of the ladies started attacking me saying I needed to leave if I didn't want to abide by the mask law. I tried to explain it was caught (it was clear i was struggling) and I was trying to get it back on. She argued that some of the employees have auto immune deficiencies, I DO TOO. That's why I was facing away from the counter when fixing my mask. As someone who works at a boutique, I would never wish this poor customer service among any shopper. read more

Just don't do it!!! I was so excited to stop into this store after missing their business hours (despite reading a negative review about how rude the owner was) BIG MISTAKE. From the second myself, my MIL/SIL, and two kids walked into this store there was a nasty vibe from the owner/worker. She looked at us so ugly and it wouldn't take her eyes off us. I have no idea if it's because we're brown or because she doesn't like kids or what. But we noticed she immediately came from behind the counter to just kind of hover over us. It was weird and aggressive. I was literally in front of the counter on one side looking at things and she moved from one side of the counter to be directly beside me. Again it was weird and aggressive. The items are overpriced and poor quality so I was fine not buying anything but still considered buying earrings. But that quickly changed once I realized how rude and nasty she seemed to be purposely! My 3 year old son saw a news year party kazoo and LIKE A KID, put it straight in his mouth. Again, he's 3. A honest mistake/kid thing to do. Especially at kid height so easy to grab. But instead of being a kind person, she gave so much attitude and said "NO that's yours now! He put it in his mouth!" As we begin to apologize and correct him and let him know he's not supposed to do that, she cuts us off and says "you'll have to pay for it!!" And she makes up a price on the spot of $2. Again $2 it's not that serious. But her nasty snotty tone just set me off because it's a kid. So I hand her $2 in quarters and tell her how rude and nasty she is and instead of being a decent business owner she immediately dismissed what I said and begins to say "I am not doing anything wrong!?! And he's the one who put it in his mouth!!" I have never encountered such a rude and nasty owner in New Orleans. I told her how weird she was for watching us and following us which she denied (by gaslighting me) by saying "omg following you!? You mean restocking my store!?" She was literally sitting there doing nothing until we entered the store and I saw her take out this "stock box" as I was next to the jewelry. It was BS. And again if you're a decent person why not kindly say omg so sorry I made you feel that way... instead she was rude and nasty so I was rude and nasty right back and told her I should've listened to the reviews where everyone said she was rude and snotty. Do not go here. There are so many amazing places in NOLA that deserve business. The items are overpriced and not good quality. And no customer should ever be made to feel the way my family and I did. read more

I love Jackie's. Plus, it's conveniently located within a block of Cafe Du Monde! What better to accompany a girl on her shopping adventure than a Cafe Au Lait?? Come armed with your credit card because you are going to want everything! Tops, pants, shorts, dresses, skirts, jewelry, handbags, and more! Vibrant colors jump out at you as the dresses beg to be purchased off the mannequins. Turquoise dresses, royal blue hand bags...basically everything my heart desires. Yes, I've spent too much money in single trips from Jackie's, but at least I have brought home some frickin' cute clothes that someone else will not be wearing and that I continuously get compliments on! There's a lot of raving about Jackie's, the sister store to Violet. Unless you're from the middle of nowhere, you know what brightly colored costume jewelry and handbags look like, so I fail to see what's so great about this place. There was a pile of handbags on the floor, and it appeared that's just how they like to display them. Most of the bags looked like flea market knockoffs with bright, metal knobs and doodads on them, or tacky zebra stripes. No thanks. I did look at a pair of earrings, but then I noticed they didn't have a price tag. None of the jewelry had a price tag, and there wasn't a sign either. So I'm not sure if you're supposed to bargain or ask the employees every time you want to know a price. Neither appealed to me, so we left. I was shopping in this store yesterday and would have purchased a few things but didn't want to give the owner a dime after the lack of friendliness I experienced. I totally understand the mask up policy, but was asking the associate a question and was interrupted mid-question to be rudely asked to pull my mask up over my nose. And 10 minutes later it slipped down again and pulled it up again. I mentioned that I have received the vaccine and she literally said that even with the vaccine, you can still get it. Seriously??? Is she really going to expect people to wear a bloody mask after everyone has been vaccinated??? When I left, she sarcastically told me to have a lovely day. If she had been remotely friendly or not condescending, I would not be writing this. I will not patronize a store where customers are treated so poorly. read more

We had the best time shopping here last Sunday. I ended up with three staple pieces - some adorable denim overalls, a gorgeous dress and a beautiful blouse. The staff here could not have been sweeter or more helpful. The friend I was with had an equally great experience and got a couple gorgeous shirts for herself. The items here are definitely on the pricier side but they seem like great quality. I will definitely be visiting here again next time I visit New Orleans. read more

Had the best time shopping at this lovely boutique! Normally shopping for clothing is an absolute chore for me but this place made it a blast! The variety of options in dresses, rompers and tops along with the lively and sweet personalities of the sales associates made me really happy and comfortable. The things here are very adorable and I love how the jewelry are arranged in a color coded fashion. But what I loved most were the purse selections. I bought a super cute purse from here that I love... but in retrospect, I feel that I paid too much for it, as it really didn't have any label and could have very well been made in China.. and it started falling a part after a couple months of use. I stop into Jackie's sometimes when I go to the Quarter, especially if my mom is with me. They have a lot of neat clothes, purses, and ladies' accessories here. I always see jeans or wallets here that I like, and they have bling that ranges from what you would wear everyday to Mardi Gras costume additions. Between the two of us, my mom and I have snagged purses and jewelry that we didn't see in other shops around town. You will see some unique items here, but keep in mind that they are at tourist/Jackson Square prices. The girls at the counter remain friendly, even when the shop is buzzing with activity. read more

Sorry but the handbags are equivalent to the ones sold at the French Market and so are the jewels! The clothing is comparable to the garments of Forever 21, Wet Seal, Charlotte Russe etc. Save yourself some money and walk to H&m two blocks away or visit Forever 21 at the Riverwalk! I shop at Jackie's often since it is very close to my house. The customer service used to be horrible. I'd walk in and no one would say a word to me. Again, I shop here all of the time and have been for years so this would upset me since I'm a loyal customer. Recently(the past year), they hired a younger girl with dark hair who has changed all of my poor shopping experiences at Jackie's(hence me writing a review finally). Always love stopping in at Jackie's when in New Orleans and have never had any real complaints...until now. Of course they still had all the adorable tops, dresses, and purses one could ask for but the way I was treated by the women that was working was way below par. In the past, I was usually greeted with at least a "hello" (and a smile) before I was asked to put my drink on the little table by the door. This time I walked into this woman instructing me (without any sort of smile) that "We have a table for drinks." It wasn't a huge deal but it was really embarrassing to be talked to as if I was a stupid little kid - just really rude and condescending. Anyway, I put my drink down and started looking around the store. I saw a purse I just loved and was looking for the price which in the past was always inside the pocket, but was having trouble finding it. When I asked the saleswomen if she could help me, all she said was "the price is in the zipper pocket," then went back to doing some kind of paper work at the counter. She could have walked the six feet over to help me find the little tag or at least checked up with me to make sure I found the price but no. Luckily, another much friendlier salesgirl (not able to recall her name but she had blond, wavy hair) saw what had happened and came over to help me look. Turns out the tag was supposed to be where I had been looking; it had simply fallen out of the pocket and was buried in all the paper stuffing. The girl could tell I was a little upset and I think she was actually a little embarrassed for the way I had been treated and apologized for the other saleswoman. Had she not been there to make me feel better, this might have been my last trip to Jackie's. Needless to say, still LOVE the awesome merchandise just not as excited about having to worry about running into that woman whenever I get a chance to stop in. read more
