I visited for the first time on a Friday evening in early October 2024. I never knew this candy store existed so it was fun to check it out. I had just finished dinner at Pizza 216 down the street so as I was walking back to my car, I stumbled upon Rocket Fizz. My friend who was with me has been here before and said she loved the candy shop. We briefly decided to stop in to browse, mostly because I was curious and wanted to visit. All the bright colours from the outside looking inside enticed me to enter and will probably entice you too (see my attached photos). SWEETS GALORE -- If you enjoy sweets/candy then this is your sugar heaven! You'll find all sorts of chocolate, soft drinks (soda/pop), chips, gum, etc. They sell many drinks and chips from Asia that have unique flavours (something you may find in Japan or Korea) so I thought that was cool. I saw plenty of bubble tea drinks and traditional soft drinks such as Coke and orange flavoured drinks. I only browsed for about 5 minutes with my friend but I ended up buying some taffy's (chewy sweets) which cost 15 cents each. Most of their chocolate bars were an average cost of $6+ for a small size. I also bought a "Hubba Bubba" (bubblegum) that is shaped as tape so it's called Bubble Tape. If you have kids or a niece and nephew, bring them here as they will love it even though your dentist might not. I had fun browsing and while I wanted to buy a unique sweet/candy item, I just did not feel like spending too much money right then. The two store associates working that evening were friendly and answered all my questions. It was 8:30 on Monday night so we were about to lose most of our options. Hershey's is open until 9:30. Perfect. My friend ALWAYS chooses soft serve places but it was my turn to choose. Of course it was all hard-packed ice cream. He got a Sundae made with the cherry ice cream. He couldn't have been happier- said there was a cherry or a half cherry in every spoonful, and that the ice cream was softer than most hard ice cream. He loved it. I got a scoop of cookie butter ice cream in a bowl and asked for whipped cream on top. Oh was it delicious!! If it hadn't been so creamy cold, I would have thought I was eating cookie butter out of a bowl. So good! His sundae and my bowl of ice cream cost about $7. VERY reasonable! And the young gal working there couldn't have been more pleasant - definitely an A+ for customer service! The store was super clean inside and in fact, we sat outside on a bench to eat and could see that gal mopping the floor before closing. My only suggestion would be to put some white lights in the trees that shade that cute little porch outside. The other two businesses in the plaza had no lighting whatsoever and it made for a very dark parking lot. Definitely try this place if you haven't already!!

It's down the street a way. Look for the big sign: King Nut/Peterson Nut Retail Store at 30600 Carter Street in Solon, Ohio. It's at the rear of a big warehouse type building. The shop is like a gift shop. It's very nice. Lots of almonds, pistachio and macadamia nuts are packed in different size bags. Same with the sesame sticks. There are a different kinds of snacks, too, and the small airline snack bags. Definitely check out this place. Seasonal candies are available. The ladies working will even make up gift baskets if requested. Join the Monday shopping club for a discount after you spend so much.

If you can get to any of the European stores or Asian stores in the Cleveland area - it will definitely be cheaper BUT they may not have everything this place has. After exploring the store a bit I decided to get 3 truffles to really try this place out. I got one strawberry balsamic truffle, one lemon truffle and one passion fruit caramel truffle. Each one was $2.80 which is decent I'd say for truffles. The strawberry was average, the lemon was good - very lemon-y without tasting artificial and the passion fruit one was also average.
