I am writing this review to share my honest experience with @Kraus Pizza North Main, and to make it clear that this comes from firsthand knowledge as a former employee who gave everything I had to the job.
When I was hired, I believed I was stepping into a workplace built on respect, teamwork, and fairness. Unfortunately, that was not the reality. What I experienced instead was an environment filled with inconsistency, disrespect, and a lack of accountability from management.
One of the most serious concerns is how employees are treated--especially those with disabilities or mental health challenges. I personally witnessed staff being mocked, dismissed, or not taken seriously because of their conditions. That kind of behavior is not only unprofessional, it is unacceptable in any workplace. Every employee deserves dignity and basic human respect, and that standard was not upheld here.
There was also a complete disregard for the roles and expectations that were promised during hiring. Job titles and responsibilities were not honored. Employees were expected to take on tasks outside of what they agreed to, often without proper compensation. At the same time, there appeared to be favoritism in pay--some employees were underpaid despite working hard and long hours, while others received better treatment for doing far less.
Communication within management was another major issue. There were too many people trying to be in control, yet no one was truly aligned. Instructions constantly conflicted, and employees were left in the middle, expected to somehow meet expectations that were never clearly agreed upon. Concerns brought forward by staff were often ignored, even when they were valid and constructive.
On a personal level, the way I was treated was deeply disrespectful. I was told to "control my wife" because she also worked there and had her own opinions. That kind of statement is completely inappropriate and crossed a serious line. I was judged and mistreated based on something that had nothing to do with my work performance. No employee should ever be spoken to that way.
Despite putting in long hours--sometimes up to 16-hour days--and doing everything I could to help the business succeed, I was ultimately treated as disposable. When I tried to follow up and understand why I was let go, I was met with hostility and even threats of complaints against me, simply for asking questions.
Beyond employee treatment, I also have concerns about the conditions behind the scenes. From what I observed, there were issues with cleanliness and food handling that should not be overlooked. Cross-contamination risks and inconsistent food quality--ranging from undercooked to overpriced items--are things customers should be aware of.
I want to also acknowledge that I previously left a more positive review. At the time, I believed in what I was told and what I thought the workplace represented. However, after experiencing the reality firsthand, I am recanting that statement. This review reflects the truth of what I experienced, not the image that was initially presented.
This is not written out of spite--it is written out of a need for honesty and accountability. People deserve to know how employees are treated and what goes on behind closed doors. I stand by my experience, and I share this in the interest of transparency, fairness, and the hope that things can improve for those who continue to work there.
To anyone considering employment or supporting this business, I encourage you to take all perspectives into account and make an informed decision.
