Love a fun ice cream experience!! Ice cream, waffle, and plenty of toppings are included. However, the ice cream is nothing special and the original waffle is pretty flavorless as well, so it's mostly the novelty that makes the experience. I got cocoa crazy (with a half vanilla scoop) and my brother got Oreo (and he loved it!!). It was pretty expensive- 8.50 per cone- and their flavor selection was very limited, so I probably won't be back when there's much better ice cream in the area. read more

A picture is worth a thousand words and this ice cream is . A literal warm waffle cone made to serve and a wide array of ice cream choices. Fruits were so fresh. Eat quick because it melts pretty quickly! The line was literally out the door but well worth the wait. There are monthly specials so be sure to visit frequently! read more

So I am perplexed by these new places with their $8.50 ice cream concoctions. Don't get me wrong, this is a five-star experience. The ice cream is very good and each creations is an actual works of art. The one drawback is that this is larger and more ice cream than any one person should eat in any one sitting. I know it's large to warrant the $8.50 price tag, but I would prefer half the size and half the cost. I feel bad deducting a star. It's 5 stars! So I'm giving it back, but still wish a smaller size was available. read more

The service was amazing The staff were very kind. The food had low prices and was delicious filling and satisfying. The ambience and overall decor could use a little more flavor, but overall it was an amazing place to be, and I highly recommend it for a magical experience for a low price and big serving size read more

Picture this: it's a bright, breezy day in a small, bustling city. You see a line of socially distanced, well-masked people of all shapes and sizes lined up literally around the block, a little ways down from your favorite taco place. You can smell the new England sea air and you think, "I wonder what this is about?" You walk a little closer and smell... fresh-baked waffles? And sweet cream and fruit and maybe just a hint of something spicy and it's just too perfect a mystery to pass up. You spend the next half hour chatting idly with a friend while you both wonder which ice cream you'll choose. Your friend is feeling something fruity, but you have a VERY hard time making decisions and this one is too tough to leave to an ill-informed flip of the coin. Still, you don't know what's going to happen until you step up to smiling, harried and hair-mussed woman behind the register. The words come tumbling out of your mouth. You say: "One s'mores, please. And I'd like the toasted marshmallow and chocolate sauce and graham cracker crumbles and everything, but could you also do a half-marshmallow-half-strawberry scoop? And, um... could you add strawberries on top, too?" And she will do that, because for the next minute and a half all is right in the world. Nothing can hurt you or anyone you love. The woman will bake you a perfect bubble waffle topped with exactly the right amount of ice cream and fruit and a toasty little marshmallow on top and your day will be glorious. The next morning, you will remember that you didn't finish that bubble waffle, and you will have a pillowy bowl of baked waffle and strawberry cream topped with blackberries with your coffee. My first puffle (bubble) cone was at The Cauldron in Garden Grove, Ca back in 2015. The ice cream were made out of liquid nitrogen & I have never had anything liked it since. Until I heard about this place. I went on their grand opening and i went back again recently. The bubbly waffle cone was so fluffy and ice cream went so well with the toppings. It's literally a party in your mouth and honestly, it's great to have on a chilly day cause the waffle is warm and fluffy. Highly recommend! read more

Great ice cream place. Essentially there are four-five options. Once you make a selection all the supporting ingredients come with it. You also choose the waffle type. Huge portion, excellent taste, friendly energetic and young staff. You can eat outside on nice benches. read more

We got the matcha and milk but was able to get Half matcha/Half Strawberry for the ice cream. We also changed the bubble waffle from original to matcha. The waffle was freshly made, warm and soft on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. The combination of the ice cream, toppings, and waffle complimented each other well. This place is a gem in Providence. The ice cream is quite decent, but paired with Hong Kong egg waffle along with various toppings, it becomes a delightful experience. I've tried most of the options and My personal favorites has been the cheesecake flavor and cookies and cream flavor. The cheesecake one had me wow'd. I've been following kow kow on social media for awhile now, and finally made it to them tonight. It was their last night for the Birthday cake special, and I had to try it before it was gone. One of the best thing I've ever tried. The bubble waffles are so good and everything is made to order so I don't mind the wait because it is worth it. I had the milk and matcha flavor and I was not expecting the size because oh man, it was filling. The whole combination just made sense. There is also different flavors so I'm excited to try out all of them! Honestly it doesn't hurt to try something different especially for the food truck industry. You will not regret. The presentation alone is reason to go! The ice cream was delicious and the toppings are perfect! Due to COVID they provide outdoor seating so you can't stay inside. My only push for them would be to frequently wipe down the tables because all of them were super sticky both times I went. read more

kow Kow has some really beautiful instagramable ice cream that wows the 5 year olds sensation. They offer contactless pick up and because the east side has little traffic at this point pretty accessible. The waffles are home made and the cones assembled right in front of you therefore add to longer wait times. My son loved his unicorn ice cream and in times where things are not what they were he really enjoyed the magnificent treat. I only gave 4 stars because for me personally the taste and execution (reallyyyy long wait times) wasn't quite there but totally willing to give another try and I totally suggest this as a fun treat if you have a kid. Yesss! Finally some bubble waffle's in R.I! I went to Hong Kong this summer and loved the bubble waffle's with ice cream. I was thrilled to learn that kow kow was right here in little rhody! I've had a few different waffle cones when they are a part of food truck events. I've also visited the truck when they are set up in Prov. The ice cream flavors and waffles are very fresh. The combinations are unique. So delicious. I also tried their homemade tea over the summer and it didn't last more than 10 min! So good!!! I would buy it by the bottle. I hope this business lasts because we have nothing like it! read more

The team is super helpful and caring. We were across the street and my friend who has diabetes was having an emergency and really needed sugar. I explained the situation and they let me jump the line to quickly get a portion of ice cream and a cup of a high-sugar topping. I offered to pay but they insisted I took it without worrying about it. Many thanks! Hours say they close at 9:00. We showed up at 8:50 and the door was locked. We snuck in when someone left and they turned us down. "We stop the line at 8:30" they said... then the hours should say 8:30!! My very pregnant sister was craving ice cream and left very unfulfilled. read more

I really wanted to love kow kow. I tried -- I really did! The service was 5/5 stars for sure. The girl working was so kind and funny - she told me about her favorite flavors and we joked around a bunch. However, it was simply not worth it for the price. The best part about it, in my opinion, was the ice cream and toppings. The mochi and condensed milk were a nice touch atop the matcha ice cream which was not overly sweet (a good thing). Bad ice cream. I was excited to try it because it looked cool with the waffle cone and everything but it was the worst ice cream I have ever had. The waffle had a cardboard texture and bland taste, while the ice cream had a gesso texture, no taste. The only good thing we're the fresh strawberry toppings, which are the only thing I ate, throwing out the rest. On top of that they messed up my order, made an extra ice cream and charged me for it. When I pointed it out, after we had paid they just kind of froze and did not offer to fix their mistake. Unfortunately I won't be going there again. read more

We've followed Kow Kow since early days on her trailer truck and boy has it never failed to amaze us and delight us every single time we go! We're so happy that there's a physical shop now that we can head to for all of our ice cream cravings. Seriously - the ladies here are so much fun, kind and so happy to put a smile on your face and the ice cream creations are to die for! Underwhelming. They messed up my order and didn't seem to care. Lady was kind of rude when I approached them about my order. Ice cream is just Warwick Ice Cream, nothing special. Can make waffles at home and get pints of better ice cream, service would be better too. I'd give them some slack if the line was long but there was no one else ordering or waiting when I was there. read more

great place; no complaints. dont know if this is a regualr thing but there was a wheel with a bunch of prizes; we were lucky and got a free $30 order! prices aeemed on the expensive side but after the wheel, was reasonable. a few of my friends got a free extra scoop or a few bucks off, but as said before, we got a free order! the ice cream came quick and though it was 10 minutes before closing, they still let us order with a large party of 13. seating is very limited and the line was very long, but orders came quick so no complaints read more

It is located next to a school so traffic can be heavy depending on the time of day. I went around 5 pm and the weather wasn't great so not as much traffic and parking right in front. It is metered parking which is a downside but I believe there are side streets without the fee. I loved a lot of the details when I walked in such as the ice cream cone chairs along the wall, the art on the wall, the citrus colors all around, and a water station. The menu isn't very extensive, but | actually love this about them. Each flavor is very unique and when every flavor sounds and tastes good, a dozen options is perfectly fine. They also have it broken up into regular hard ice cream, dairy free ice cream, and sorbet. I couldn't decide on what I wanted but I was allowed to sample different ones before committing to one. They offer 4 different sizes: mini (golf ball scoop) - $4, scoop (baseball) -$6, half/half - $7, and double -$8. During my sampling session, I tried the horchata, thai tea, and dulce de leche. I ultimately opted for the dulce de leche because of its sweet, creamy, and intense caramel-like flavor. It almost tasted like a cold Werther's caramel melting in my mouth, so I needed more of it. However, I loved that the horchata had a strong cinnamon and vanilla presence with a hint of coconut since I do think the non-diary flavors are coconut milk based. The thai tea literally tasted like a frozen thai tea as it was milky but also the black tea undertone was there. I did not get to taste the london fog but I also heard it was a black tea flavor. Just based on internet pictures, it looks like the menu is constantly changing (some staple flavors don't seem to leave) and there are seasonal flavors. This motivates me to come back more often to see what treasures I come across. They had a few tables inside to enjoy your ice cream there. There were two people working so I did not wait much for my turn. They also do offer pints to go, but from what I could see only two flavors: cookies and cream and mango sticky rice.

Eventbrite was easy to use to reserve the ticket and choose the mini ice cream cake flavors. I chose Milk & Cookies and Sweet Cream & Cookies. The class started about 10:50AM, because we were all waiting for 1 guest to arrive. The class had a total of 11 people. On the table, there were round decorating turntables, cups of frosting, frosting spreaders, mini M&Ms, and icing in piping bags. When the whole class was ready, the staff member gave us our first mini ice cream cake and showed us how to frost it and use the piping bag to create grass. Then, we decorated our second mini ice cream cake. I think my second mini ice cream cake was better, but we were pretty much left to decorate freely. I wish there was more instruction from the staff members. Unfortunately, the mini ice cream cakes started to melt while were decorating and it was messy. The staff members were wonderful and friendly though. They let us keep the mini ice cream cakes in the freezer for a bit while my friends and I grabbed a smoothie from Mia Cane nearby. I do not think the class was really worth $27.00, but I try to think of it as purchasing 2 mini ice cream cakes with toppings for $27.00. The mini ice cream cakes had good flavor.
