I preferred to hire someone local rather than corporate but, since I had a smaller job, I received a lot of "not worth my time" responses from other companies. Robert was the first who matched/beat the Ikea quote and I honestly think he did a better job than an installer who is loyal to Ikea rather than the customer. Notably, the Ikea planner added several panels that were not needed to my order but Robert identified the extra pieces so I could take them back for a refund. Saved me almost $200! Everything installed is level and secure and Robert asked questions along the way to make sure that everything was installed the way I wanted it. I plan to call him for all future Ikea installs and recommend him to anyone who asks.

He was able to repair various issues in my rental property ranging from baseboards, to plumbing, to replacing lighting fixtures and cracked tile flooring. Also, he provided daily status on where he was at with each stage of the project, provided a detailed summary of work that was done, and left the project site completely clean. He even was able to point out several issues which were very low cost to fix but that could have turned into big problems down the line. All of the work was done at the best quality I have come across in the industry and at a very reasonable price. I plan to call Tony for all of my rental projects going forward. It is very difficult to find general maintenance professionals that are high quality, reliable and charge reasonable rates. He truly provides a valuable service for any landlord or homeowner needing general repairs done correctly and on time.

The second was to mount a large flat screen TV on an existing, dated TV cabinet. He designed it first and with approval, built a fine TV mount on new board over the old TV cabinet, taking care to hide all wires and speakers. The last item was (I think) the most difficult, as we wanted to match a handrail on an opposite side wall of the existing handrail in our older house for better stair safety. The handrail profile was very difficult to find, but he persisted and knew that only a matching profile would look nice. He finally found it, and described to me the many decisions he made to have it match the other side (angle, where it started and stopped, how far away from the wall, etc). I had no idea about how painstaking it was, but I can tell you that it looks like it had always been there and I so appreciate what a perfectionist he is. Steve is pleasant to work with and a good communicator. We will use him again, and I highly recommend him. Thanks Steve!
