Our six-year-old Whirlpool refrigerator stopped working, though the freezer still worked. Korvin politely set up an appt. for a serviceman to take a look at the situation. SHANE came to the house and quickly assessed the problem and gave me the good news it wasn't an expensive fix. He was very professional and friendly. I felt I was in good hands. The part had to be ordered. The day he said he'd be back he was right on time. The fix was complicated and messy, but he persevered, got it done quickly and then cleaned everything up. I agree with the review of the "nasty" woman. Several years ago, went in to buy a new frig. The woman freaked out when I attempted to measure the frig to see if it would fit, being afraid I would scratch the paint with the tape measure!!! What a MORON!!! Who would buy an appliance without measuring it to make sure it fit's???!!! Needless to say I chose to go elsewhere. If you are in need of an appliance repair, such as a refrigerator, in the Keene NH area, I would highly recommend that you choose any appliance repair company BUT KORVIN APPLIANCE!!!!!!!! We have been trying to get our refrigerator fixed for close to a month now and we are still waiting. It took forever and a day for someone to get out to our home in the first place and then they decided we needed a part. Now mind you, they were out here for the same problem a year ago. We were told they had to order the part and they would come back out after the part came in. That took another 3 weeks. Last week they came to put the part in and they did indeed put a part in but our ice maker still didnt work. The guy left us with an ice maker that makes ice floes! All we had in the ice bucket was thick chunks of ice! Not to mention the fact, that the minute the service guy left the house they sent us a $200 bill. So we called them yet again! They were supposed to show up last week, at the latest today. Nobody showed and nobody called. Their idea of customer service is absolutely deplorable. So tomorrow I am going to call someone else and tear up their bill. Since I have to pay for someone else to come back out here, I need to be able to pay them. At least they will have earned the money! You are wasting your time and money calling Korvin Appliance. They do not care one iota about their customers, just the almighty dollar! read more

My wife and I bought our washer and dryer at Korvin Appliances in Keene. The people are extremely polite, professional and easy to deal with. Our thinking was to buy from a local dealer like Korvin and when service is required it would easier than dealing with big dealers. Well our dryer started making a strange noise after having it for a few years. We called Korvin and received the excellent service that we had hoped for. What a great place to deal with! The service man was right on time and followed up as promised and was very fair with the pricing etc. We would certainly deal with them again and we are glad we originally bought our appliances there in the first place. read more

Forget Home Depot and other big companies! My fiance and I had a terrible experience with Home Depot when we tried to order and receive a washing machine from them. We ended up canceling that order and called Korvin Appliance. The person I spoke to on the phone was extremely nice, and best of all, they had the washing machine we wanted available in store and same day delivery (same price as what we paid at Home Depot)! The two delivery men came earlier than the time they gave us (after calling me to verify if it was okay with us, which it was), and they were very quick and efficient in unloading and installing it. They were professional and gave us additional advice for how to maintain the washing machine and prevent pipe corrosion. read more

Can't BELIEVE -- what a useless Service Call!! We recently had a problem with our dishwasher not fully draining. The unit is a high-end Bosch that otherwise worked well. Not wanting to purchase a new dishwasher until we had finished construction, we called Korvin to see if our dishwasher could POSSIBLY be repaired -----just until we were finished with construction, so that we could purchase all new appliances that match. Korvin sent out an arrogant repair person who was clearly annoyed that we weren't willing to simply replace the dishwasher immediately. He told us the pump wasn't working (not true) and that the repair would be $200-$300 for the pump, and "who knows WHAT ELSE is wrong with it." We suspected he might be a moron, since he seemed so determined to dissuade us from buying a Miele brand----"I haven't EVEN HEARD of that brand" he said. (as if he was SOME AUTHORITY) His arrogance was so off-putting, we decided to call a different repair company. For $70, THIS technician broke up the piece of broken glass that was clogging the drain. Now our old dishwasher is working GREAT. Needless to say, when we are ready to buy our kitchen full of appliances, it will NOT be from Korvin! NOTE: I originally posted that we were charged for that service call --- I stand corrected. As it turns out, we were not. Only downside was the loss of our time and an irritating afternoon. read more

No price negotiation and only manufacturer sales. Salesman on the floor was nice, woman in the back & on the phone nasty. So much so our plumber avoids her at all costs. Installation was bad, damaged wood. It took months and repeated calls to get it repaired. Service is good but there are local independent repair persons who are good and more reasonable I have found out. read more

These bad reviews are ridiculous in comparison to my experience with Korvin. I was persuaded to buy all top of the line appliances at Coco Plum. Great friendly sales people who are wonderful only up until your invoice is paid. Customer service sucks as did all my appliances. Korvin has been my go-to for all repairs. I find the repair man (Dave?) knowledgeable and also friendly. He gives thoughtful consideration to the diagnosis and gives a call back once he's had time to think about it.... if he didn't know on the spot what the trouble was. This is his career, give the guy some credit for knowing something! Think about it as giving a diagnosis and don't expect them to be magicians! Technology constantly changes and all these appliances are made of crap from China and elsewhere, then people expect the repairmen to magically have all the answers. Perhaps it's the attitudes of which he's met with that determines what he gives back. Just a thought! Again, I've had only good experiences with these people, including showroom/sales people and I didn't even purchase my appliances from them. We ALL have high expectations when dropping a load of cash on our appliances - so I understand both sides. Calm down and meet people in the middle and you'll feel better. And remember, the real issue behind all this begins in the voting booth. read more

They have a sign on the door which says (essentially) "Warning, service inside may be extremely helpful and relaxing." And, it is! Nice folk. Very helpful in making choices for equipment. We purchased equipment for previous house and they were excellent with service. They replaced controls on stove which was under warranty quickly, well, and at no cost to us. We are about to purchase again for new house because of previous experience and present help in making choices. read more

Looking to shop local and support small businesses before going to HomeDepot, unfortunately the less than friendly sales person forced us out of the store with her impatient attitude and condiscending tone as if our questions were unreasonable. She did not know anything about the appliances and kept going to someone 'out back' and finally after her 3rd trip she said blunty, I'm just going to send him out because you obviously have a lot of questions!" She returned a few minutes later only to become more flustered and abrupt with her answers. Considering we were the ONLY ones in there, and now i understand why, she could have been a little more patient, or at least pretend like she wanted to sell an appliance. Our last question was if they serviced and delivered appliances to a town about 35 minutes away, and she said "No, why wouldn't you go shop someplace closer!?" Really!?!?! I recently did business with this establishment in which I will never do again. I came to them in desperation after not having a working for almost a month. They quoted me a price to a part which I brought in pictures of error codes, model number I PREPAID the bill. When service day came I received the call that the part was the wrong one even though it was the correct error codes I was then informed that it was going to be another amount of money for the new part which again I stated I would pay prior to installation, and was told not to until after service was completed. Service day comes all goes well I am left a bill for the remaining amount quoted. The following day comes and I receive a message that my bill was wrong and my new total will include an additional 90$ charge for a service visit. If the correct part had been ordered originally there would never have been 2 service visits and expecting the customer to pay for the business's mistake is bad business. Be weary I read the reviews heard stories I still choose to go mainly because it was local and wanted to keep my business local.
